Ashanti In Swimsuit Says “Happy Birthday” To Fat Joe

Ashanti is a music legend. She and her boyfriend, rapper Nelly, also have their own reality show, where they follow their parenthood journey. Ashanti wished one of her good friends, rapper Fat Joe, a happy birthday on Instagram. In the photo, she wore a black one-piece swimsuit look. Her amazing figure was on display. Ashanti captioned the post, “Screaming Happy belated birthday to my brother @fatjoe (even though we spoke yesterday you know I be late posting 😂) I already know it was a movie!! She Works With A Trainer
Ashanti shared some of her diet and exercise secrets in an interview with Parade. She says that she typically does sessions with a personal trainer. “When I’m home in NYC, I have a trainer, Raheem. We do weight training, cardio, running. I’m kind of a tomboy and I’m very competitive so I never want him to beat me.”
She Mixes Up Her Workouts

When it comes to exercise, Ashanti believes in mixing things up. She tells Parade that she and her trainer do a lot of different exercises. “Sometimes he has me work on mobility, other times endurance, and then we’ll go for strength. I think it’s important to mix it up and hit different parts of your body. We’ll do the Stairmaster, lots of core work.”
She’s Consistent

No matter how busy she gets, Ashanti makes time to workout on a consistent basis. “I try to get four to five days in a week with my trainer,” she says to Parade. “When I know I’m going for something specific, like preparing for a role, I try to definitely make it five. When I knew I was going down to Trinidad for carnival, for example, we had like two months. So I said, ‘Look, I have to be in this little itty bitty costume!’ We maybe missed a couple of days but I was really strict with that one.”
She Loves Green Juices

Ashanti eats a mostly plant-based diet. She shared some of her favorite healthy options in her Parade interview. “I’m really into green juices. I’m glad I got one today! I’m actually drinking one now. And I’ll make a plant-based protein smoothie to snack on in between as well. I also like the No Cow bars. The raspberry one is the best.”
She’s Confident

One of Ashanti’s biggest wellness secrets is being confident. She talked about this in an interview with Byrdie, as reported by Prevention. “As you evolve and age, you become more comfortable in your skin. I might put on a bikini a little more often now than when I first came out. A lot of the confidence comes from within …. for me, it’s just about staying true to myself and accentuating the good things I love about myself. I’m proud to be happy with who I am.”
