She captioned the post, “Fiji, sun, surf, waves, family, friends and celebration. Life is beautiful! 😎🌺. @wsl @fae @tavaruaislandresort.” Here are 5 of Elsa Pataky’s fitness secrets to maintain her bikini body.
She Works Out On A Regular Basis
Elsa shared some of her fitness secrets in an interview with Women’s Health. She makes sure to workout on a regular basis, and keeps herself motivated to do so. “I can’t be without training for more than two weeks – I just get really nervous and my energy starts to go down,” she says. “When you start working out and your body’s changing and you’re achieving your goals, that’s such a great thing. So, I think that’s the motivation [to exercise] – feeling better and just being happy with you and knowing that you’re healthy.”
She Loves Yoga
Elsa is open about her love of practicing yoga. “It’s just like another kind of energy you have in yoga,” Elsa says to Women’s Health. “It’s also for your mind. At the end you have that moment of laying down and five minutes of like [does an exaggerated exhale]. Kind of like a meditation. I think that’s really important for your brain and to come down.
She Lifts Weights
Elsa talked about her love of weight training with Body + Soul. “Weight training with yoga really works with my body. I work out with weights and the more and more I learn that I’m not scared doing weights. I’m using more weight and more weight and more weight, and less repetitions to create that muscle.”
She Intermittent Fasts
Elsa likes to intermittent fast, and she got introduced to it by her husband. “It’s hard in the beginning, but then your body really gets used to it,” Elsa says to Body + Soul. “I think as a mum it’s kind of easy in a way -because you’re so busy in the mornings with the breakfasts, and then the drop off, that you can easily find yourself saying ‘Oh, I haven’t eaten all morning’. But then I just have breakfast afterwards.”
She Does Ab Workouts
Elsa has amazing abs, and she naturally does a lot of ab workouts to maintain them. She revealed to Body + Soul that her motivations for getting abs began when she was young. “My father loved sports – so we used to watch the Olympics a lot, and I would get obsessed with the toned and strong bodies of the gymnastics and the 100 metre women runners. I loved their abs! So I just wanted to have a body like that. And I liked sports… and so then I started training and my goal was to have abs! [laughs]. So I started getting obsessed with it. I started doing abs [workouts] all the time, and then I started to see my body change.”
