Priyanka Chopra Jonas Reveals the Fitness Routine Helping Her Stay Lean

Priyanka Chopra Jonas is a respected actress, referred to as one of India’s highest paid actresses. After winning the Miss World pageant in 2000, she’s built a career and a passion for keeping herself healthy and fit. Here are five things that she does to keep up with her wellness goals.
She hits the gym

She’s passionate about working out and her body responds well to it. “Honestly, I work out only when I need to. My body responds very quickly to exercise, so I don’t need too long to tone up and get into shape,” she said to Vogue India. “I want to hit the gym but I work 15-hour days and I’m exhausted by the end of it.”
She skips rope

In a video interview she did, Priyanka skips rope, keeping things fun, but challenging. ‘I love skipping. I learnt it really well in school and then I learnt it even better during Mary Kom, so I try to get my cardio in by skipping. It’s easy to carry, you have your skipping rope in your bag, it’s easy to do,” she said.
She find ways to stay active

NEAT exercise is another go-to for the actress, ranging from hiking, to just trying to sneak in a little extra activity in moments where she can. “I try to be active in everyday life—I take the stairs instead of the elevators or walk instead of driving,” she said. Fitting in extra activity here and there can add up.
She aims for healthy, not skinny

It’s about being healthy and strong, not skinny. “The idea is to keep fit and healthy and not shrink myself by two or three sizes,” she said during an interview. “I find that trend amongst celebrities disturbing, since a lot of kids and teenagers strive to attain our kind of figures, but without proper guidance.”
She likes to swim

She factors in resistance training and cardio, according to Women’s Health, but she also enjoys swimming to stay active. “I also love swimming, it’s a full-body workout and I’ll try to do 10 laps continuously,” she said during an interview.
