In the same interview, Sharif talked about her love of meditation. “My meditation journey has helped me overcome the lowest and the toughest phase of my life, it has helped me filter all the negative thoughts and focus on only the positive ones, made me be grateful for what I have rather den be thankless for what I lack...turn my weaknesses into my strengths...relate to people in a more humane way and most important to overcome all uncertain fears that crop up in life 'Let’s quiet our mind and the soul will speak.”
2. She Swims
Sharif likes to swim to stay in shape. She shared these photos on Instagram of herself in a pool. The Mayo Clinic states that swimming has a lot of benefits. “Aquatic exercise is a fun way to focus on fitness in a gravity-reduced environment. The buoyancy of water is easier on the body and provides support for people with weakness, balance problems or pain. Additionally, the viscosity of water slows movement and provides resistance during exercise, making aquatic exercise a great workout.”
3. She Stretches
Sharif makes sure to stretch. In this video she posted on Instagram, she is seen doing gymnastic-inspired stretches at a gym. Sharif captioned the post, “What my mornings look like.” Harvard Health states that stretching is important. “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints. Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage. For example, sitting in a chair all day results in tight hamstrings in the back of the thigh. That can make it harder to extend your leg or straighten your knee all the way, which inhibits walking. Likewise, when tight muscles are suddenly called on for a strenuous activity that stretches them, such as playing tennis, they may become damaged from suddenly being stretched. Injured muscles may not be strong enough to support the joints, which can lead to joint injury.
4. She Does Pilates

As you can see in her recent post, Sharif does Pilates to stay in shape. Better Health states that Pilates has a lot of benefits. “Pilates can be an aerobic and non-aerobic form of exercise. It requires concentration and focus, because you move your body through precise ranges of motion. It requires concentration in finding a centre point to control your body through movement. Each exercise has a prescribed placement, rhythm and breathing pattern.”
