Aimee Teegarden is a very successful actress. She first became known for her role on Friday Night Lights. She is currently known for her work in several Hallmark movies, including Heart of The Matter, My Christmas Family Tree, Christmas Class Reunion, and A New Year’s Resolution. Last summer, Teegarden shared a video on Instagram of herself swimming in a waterfall. She captioned the post, “Summer adventures.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Aimee Teegarden stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Weight Trains

Teegarden shared some of her favorite workouts with Us Weekly. One thing she likes to do is strength train. The American Cancer Society states, “As you gain muscle, your body begins to burn calories more easily, making it easier to control your weight. Strengthening exercises can increase flexibility and balance as people age, reducing falls and injuries.”

2. She Does Plyometric Training

Teegarden tells Us Weekly that she likes to do plyometric training. NASM states that plyometric training has a lot of benefits. “Of the many benefits of plyometric training, some of the more recognized are: increased vertical jump height, increased long jump distance. Increased strength, improved running speed, agility, and quickness, injury reduction, improved throwing, hitting, striking velocity.”

3. She Surfs

Beautiful,Sexy,Surfer,Girl,On,The,Beach,At,SunsetShutterstock

Teegarden revealed to Us Weekly that she likes to surf. Surfing England states that the sport has a lot of benefits. “Firstly, learning to surf is a great way to improve your cardiovascular health. Pushing your way out through the waves, and then paddling with an explosion of power to catch them, and then repeating this over and over requires a lot of energy, endurance, and persistence. Regular surfing can help to strengthen your heart and lungs, leading to improved overall fitness. Now, combine that with the fact that surfing is a low-impact exercise (when you are just starting out anyway) meaning that it is gentle on your joints and can be a great way to stay active without putting too much strain on your body.”

4. She Does Cardio

Teegarden tells Us Weekly that she makes sure to do cardio exercises. The Cleveland Clinic states that this has a lot of benefits. “‘When part of an overall heart-healthy lifestyle, not only can regular cardio exercise lead to a decrease in your resting blood pressure and heart rate, but these basic changes can also mean your heart doesn’t have to work unnecessarily hard all of the time, says clinical exercise physiologist Erik Van Iterson, PhD, MS.’ Maintaining a good cardio routine also helps improve good cholesterol levels while lowering blood fats.”

She Swims

As you can see from her Instagram post, Teegarden loves to swim to stay fit. Better Health states that swimming is a great way to stay in shape. “Swimming is a good all-round activity because it: keeps your heart rate up but takes some of the impact stress off your body, builds endurance, muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness, helps you maintain a healthy weight, healthy heart and lungs, tones muscles and builds strength, provides an all-over body workout, as nearly all of your muscles are used during swimming.”

Amber Turner is hitting Barry’s Bootcamp – in her workout gear. In a new social media post the influencer heats up Dubai, wearing an Alo sports bra and matching leggings prior to getting her sweat on in a bootcamp style workout class. She shared the mirror selfie via her Instagram Stories. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Amber is a coffee drinker. Her go-to order? “Skinny vanilla latte with almond milk,” she revealed in a recent post. A 2022 study published in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology found that drinking two to three cups a day of most types of coffee – especially a mild to moderate intake of ground, instant, and decaffeinated coffee – may protect you from cardiovascular disease and an early death.

Strength Training

Amber relies on strength training to keep her body strong and toned. According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Her "Health Is Wealth" Smoothie

Amber sticks to a healthy diet. She discussed her healthy meals on her Active with Amber Instagram account. She once shared about her “health is wealth” veggie smoothie, made with spinach, celery, apple, nonfat Greek yogurt, water, and vanilla whey protein. She also loves smoothie bowls and juices. Most of her lunches and dinners consist of proteins and lots of veggies. When she does eat carbs, she focuses on whole grains instead of those made with white flour.

Hot Tub Soaks

Amber loves relaxing in the hot tub. If you don’t have access to a hot tub, just take a bath. They have been linked to better sleep and even found helpful to minimize anxiety and depression. One recent study even found that they may even boast cardiovascular benefits.

Walking

Amber Turner snaps a selfie in Dubai.

Amber can often be found walking her dog. “Little wholesome trip to Scotland with my boys so Oliver could go on lots of fun walks + explore! Swipe for a before & after,” she captioned a post of herself walking with her pooch while on a vacation. Why should you get your steps in? One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Amanda Bisk is offering a new fitness challenge – in her workout gear. In a new social media post the influencer flaunts her incredibly fit figure in a two-piece exercise set while demonstrating some moves. “15min workouts, Pilates & yoga everyday,” she wrote in the caption of the Instagram video. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Stretching

Amanda understands the importance of stretching. “I usually start my day with a stretch or yoga and a few bodyweight exercise's (situps, squats etc), usually between 15-30min depending on how much time I have,” says Amanda. “Flexibility is all about consistency. I stretch everyday. I stretch in the morning for 15-30min (sometimes also in the evening) and before and after I exercise. If you are looking to improve your flexibility, the more you stretch the quicker you will see improvements,” she continues. “I use a combination of stretches I have learnt from gymnastics and athletics and combine this with yoga. In the morning I do a few sun salutations (a sequence in yoga) to warm up my body, then I stretch my legs and hips and do splits, then finish off with shoulders and backbends.” Why should you consider stretching? “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints,” says Harvard Health. “Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.”

Running

Amanda is also a runner. “I do an intense workout like a strength session or sprints 3-4 times a week,” she reveals on the blog. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. “For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories,” they say.

Balanced Diet

As for diet, she focuses on keeping it balanced. “I have experimented with a few different ways of eating but what works best for me is a varied and balanced approach to food,” Amanda says about her approach to diet. “This includes LOTS of fruit and vegetables, fish, eggs, grains (including breads and pasta), legumes, nuts, dairy and meat. I also believe it is totally ok to enjoy those 'not so healthy' foods (my vice is icecream!). Those hearty meals or cheeky treats are good for the soul! But remember it is about moderation,” she says. “My meals usually consist of majority vegetables (full of vitamins and minerals), a portion of carbs (to fuel my muscles and brain) and protein (to build a strong body and keep me full). I choose mostly vegetarian options (a big influence from my mum, who is fully vegetarian) but I do eat meat when I feel like it.”

Tennis, Biking, basketball, Etc

Amanda maintains an active lifestyle. If she isn’t at the gym she will be doing “something different like tennis, bike riding, basketball, walking with a friend or going to a local pilates or air yoga class,” she writes on the blog.

Daily Exercise

Amanda works out daily. “I am a big fan of mixing up the type of exercise and fitness I do, so from week to week my exercise routine changes alot,” she revealed on her blog. “All up, I aim to move my body for an hour each day.” She takes a rest day, “where I might only stretch and do a walk. If I feel run down or overtrained I make sure I take a day off. Its all about listening to your body.” How often should you workout? Physical activity is anything that gets your body moving. According to the current Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans, adults need 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity and 2 days of muscle-strengthening activity each week.

Aimee Teegarden is honoring the ocean – in her workout gear. In a new social media post the Friday Night Lights turned Hallmark Channel star shows off her impressive physique in exercise clothes as she poses on the beach. “Today is #WorldOceansDay and I’m proud to continue working with @Oceana and its over 300 victories around the world that aim to protect ocean animals and marine habitats, combat climate change, and put a stop to overfishing,” she wrote in the Instagram caption. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1. Surfing

Aimee is a surfer girl. “I surf in California,” she added to Us. According to the Australian government’s Better Health, surfing provides many health benefits including cardiovascular fitness from paddling, shoulder and back strength, which also strengthens from the paddling, and leg and core strength. “Once you’re standing up on the board, strong legs and a strong core will keep you up,” they say.

2. Strength Training and Cardio

"I'm a pretty healthy person. I hit the gym probably five days a week if I have the time," she told Us Weekly. "I do weights,” she said. “I do cardio.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

3. Plyometrics

Another workout she loves? “I do plyometrics,” she told Us. According to NASM, plyometric training has a lot of benefits. "Of the many benefits of plyometric training, some of the more recognized are: increased vertical jump height, increased long jump distance. Increased strength, improved running speed, agility, and quickness, injury reduction, improved throwing, hitting, striking velocity."

4. Kayaking

Aimee kayaks when she is on vacation. “Take me back to 🇳🇴 🛶⛰🌅 #getoutside #adventure,” she captioned a post from the water. Kayaking is a great workout. Not only is it great for building upper body strength and helps reduce stress, but can burn up to 400 calories per hour, translating to 1,600 calories in four hours of paddling.

5. Walking

One of Aimee’s main forms of cardio? Walking. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Anna Kendrick, the talented actress and singer best known for her roles in Pitch Perfect and Up In The Air, recently gave her fans a glimpse of her summer fun through an Instagram post captioned, “A summer drop before summer drops me.” While she's busy with work, Kendrick makes time for self-care and wellness, focusing on finding joy and balance in her life. From hiking to staying flexible and strong, Kendrick's approach to health is all about improving her quality of life while still having fun. Here's a closer look at how she stays fit and healthy.

1. She Has Fun

Kendrick shared some of her wellness secrets with Shape. She says that she aims to find a work-life balance in her life. "I'm trying to have a sense of play," she says. "A lot of my life over the last decade has been work, recover, work, recover. That doesn't leave much room for anything else. That's the mindset and the reality for a lot of people. You work and then recover so you can work some more. Putting some fun and silliness into my life is one of my goals."

2. She Hikes

Kendrick shared her go-to workout with Shape. "Right now I'm in a hiking phase,” she revealed. “I live in a funky hilly area of L.A., and I realized I had to commit to going on a hike because I get my best ideas then. Actually, it's more like mental clarity. Sometimes I'm in my head too much, and I overanalyze things. When I'm walking, I can work through whatever it is."

3. She Focuses On Strength & Flexibility

Kendrick revealed in her Shape interview that she had to change her approach to fitness. "For a long time, working out meant that the only goal was to change the shape of your body. But now it's about the strength and flexibility aspects, rather than appearance. I definitely had to shift my thinking about it, from doing something to punish myself to doing something to make my quality of life better."

4. She Loves Ginger

Jus,Bengkoang,Jahe,Or,Jicama,Juice,With,Ginger,,Cold,PressedShutterstock

Kendrick likes to drink ginger to stay healthy. "I keep wellness shots of ginger, lemon, and cayenne from Pressed Juicery in my fridge,” she said to Shape. “If I'm traveling and I can't have ginger, I'll feel sick. There was a time when I was in Germany for three months and I couldn't find a crushed-juice place. So I bought a juicer and a bunch of ginger to make it myself because I was positive it was the only thing keeping me alive."

5. She Does A Variety Of Workouts

Kendrick shared some of her favorite workouts with The Los Angeles Times. She says that she does a variety of things to stay in shape. “I’ve been taking Pure Barre, and I live in a part of L.A. where I can take a hike straight out my front door. If I’m on set and there’s no other option, I get on a treadmill, but that’s my most hated thing. I used to exercise an hour every day — no excuses. I live in absolutes: I either exercise every day or I let myself off the hook. I’m trying to find that balance of working out three or four days a week and sticking to it. I never have used a trainer. I’m slightly intimidated by the idea of somebody in my face.”

Leonie Hanne is living her best life in Thailand – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the German model flaunts her fantastic figure in a $750 Missoni bathing suit while enjoying a boating day in the tropics. “She dreamed of a tropical adventure 🦋,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. ”So beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Leonie enjoys the perks of caffeine. In one of her posts from Thailand, she drinks a cup of coffee at the poolside. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Pilates

Leonie does Pilates at the super exclusive London studio Pilates in the Clouds. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

At-Home Workouts

Leonie tries to get a workout in daily, preferably in the morning. I still try to get up early to maintain a sense of routine. I start every day with a quick at-home workout and a homemade acai bowl, before starting work on emails and content creation. I’ve been getting really into TikTok lately, it’s funny and keeps me feeling energised!” she told Arcadia.

Community

It takes a village, according to Leonie. “Community is key! The people you surround yourself with are more important than ever, as we are all trying to find ways to stay connected without being physically present. Speaking to people either on the phone or through social media can shift your mindset and motivation more than ever before,” she says.

Small, Healthy Habits

Leonie focuses on maintaining small, healthy habits. “Do something every day that brings you joy. Even if that means having something small to look forward to, like having your favourite snacks around the house or changing into an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself,” she says.

How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Doesn't Go Under the Knife

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Tammy Hembrow is a fitness influencer and expert. She has her own app, called Tammy Fit. Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

She Lifts Weights

Tammy Hebrew is seen using dumbbells.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”

She Loves Bananas

Tammy Hebrew has a banana snack.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen enjoying bananas in her “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. The Cleveland Clinic states that bananas have a lot of benefits. “A single medium-sized banana offers about 32 mg of the mineral magnesium, which fulfills around 8% to 10% of your daily magnesium requirement. Magnesium is involved in many processes in your body, including: Blood pressure. Blood sugar levels. Building proteins. Maintaining bone. Muscle function. Nerve function.”

She Loves Cottage Cheese

Tammy Hebrew's snack the contains banana and cottage cheese.

Hembrow is seen enjoying her bananas with cottage cheese in the previous Instagram video. Cottage cheese is very healthy. UCLA Health reports, “Cottage cheese’s protein content and low calories make it an ideal food for weight management. Research shows that whether you are trying to lose weight or reduce your risk of overweight or obesity, eating a high-protein diet can help you feel full and satisfied for longer.”
