Alaya F is hitting the gym – in her workout gear. In a new social media post the fitness influencer shows off her amazing body in a two-piece exercise set while exercising. “This is my biggest gain from 2024. Seeing my body do things that I couldn’t have even dreamed of! Thank you for the love and encouragement (and engagement😋)! Here’s to constantly and consistently growing,” she captioned the Instagram video of her workout. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
She Drinks Coffee[
ShuttterstockOne of Alya's “morning rituals” is getting a jolt. “One cup of coffee and 30 minutes to myself,” she told ETimes. “I always make sure I wake up a little earlier than I need to, 30 minutes earlier than I need to, just so I can have that one cup of coffee, sit in silence, just be with myself, start the day at my own pace, because then the rest of the day gets chaotic and crazy. And so many things are constantly happening that you have to be up and alert for that I just like those 30 minutes.”
Here Is What She Eats in a Day
Alya fuels up with healthy food. “Maybe I'll have something like oats and fruits in the morning,” she explains. For lunch and dinner she enjoys roti. “I also like snacking throughout the day, so I'll find nice healthy snacks that I enjoy,” she says. “My favorite meal of the day would have to be dinner because that's the only meal I actually properly sit down and eat in peace again.”
Post-Exercise Protein
Alya makes sure to refuel her body with protein after working out. “So usually my post-workout meal, I try to get in some sort of protein,” she says. “I allow myself to also eat carbs at that point because, you know, I've just had a great workout, but again, this also totally changes. I mean, there are days where right after my workout, I don't even get a chance to eat because I'm running somewhere else after it. So, totally depends.” Her usual workout time is around noon.
Yoga
Alaya practices yoga with trainer Puja Thea Amin. “Always growing and learning with @pujiwoo 😄 every time I’m feeling unmotivated in class, the best way to get me focused is to make me try something I’ve never done before! I loooooooooove competing with myself and seeing how much further I can push my body because it always leaves me surprised and grateful!” she captioned a post of their workout. There is a laundry list of reasons to do yoga, explains Harvard Health. “Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood,” they said. “People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating.
Hydration
Alaya hydrates. “The first healthy thing I do when I wake up is probably all the many different things that I drink in the morning. I start with chugging water the second I wake up, then I have apple cider vinegar in water. Then I have a black coffee, then if there's any seasonal juice, I have that. And then I always have coconut water as well,” she told Femina. “So it's just a lot of hydration in the morning and I always have to start my day with that.” According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is important for a variety of reasons. Water helps get rid of waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature normal, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.
