Alessandra Ambrosio is hitting the gym – in her workout gear. In a new social media post the model shows off her famous figure in a crop top and leggings during a sweat session with her Gal Floripa co-founder Gisele. “Gym time,” she wrote about the Instagram Stories image. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
1. Meditation

“I feel like I have so many rituals these days,” she told The Zoe Report at their annual ZOEasis event. “I start my day with a little meditation.” “When you meditate, you may clear away the information overload that builds up every day and contributes to your stress,” says the Mayo Clinic. Benefits include:
- Gaining a new perspective on stressful situations
- Building skills to manage your stress
- Increasing self-awareness
- Focusing on the present
- Reducing negative emotions
- Increasing imagination and creativity
- Increasing patience and tolerance
- Lowering resting heart rate
- Lowering resting blood pressure
- Improving sleep quality

“It's important to break a sweat every day, and I love the way Pilates makes me feel long and lean," Alessandra told Glamour about her go-to workout. According to research, Pilates exercises are designed to increase muscle strength, endurance, and flexibility, and to improve posture and balance. Experts maintain that it is a great workout for leaning out.
3. Yoga

“I love to do yoga as it centers me and also at the same time keeps me in shape," Alessandra told FOX News. "Since there is a lot to do around the house sometimes I don't have much time to work out, in which case I try to do some stretching and hold a plank for five to 10 minutes.” Harvard Health explains why yoga is a great workout. “Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood,” they said. “People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating.”
4. Hydration

After doing yoga, Alessandra makes sure to replenish. “I like to drink my water and hydrate. And sometimes I'll put a little lemon in my water, so that's part of my wellness, because I think the lemon in water, it's really good for you. And, through the day, water, water, water — hydrate yourself,” she told The Zoe Report. “So I think water is one of the most important things that we can do for our beauty, inside and out, to feel good, to feel hydrated, to feel healthy,” she says. “If there's one thing I don't like about water, it's when it [has a] taste. [This one, however,] was tasteless. That means that the pH of this water is the same as our body. It comes from the Alps, and it's bottled right there so it's fresh, yummy, full of minerals, and super healthy.”
5. Nightly Self-Care

Alessandra calms her mind and gives her body some rest and care with her nightly self-care routine. “At night, I like journaling,” she told TZR. “I don't journal every night, I'm going to confess right here, but at least three to four times a week, I'm journaling what's going on with my mind. I think it's really important. I [also] love taking baths and putting a nice candle. I love doing a massage, sometimes, natural oils for my skin. So anything I can get my hands that is natural, I'll do it.”
