Alexis Ren is an extremely successful model and influencer. She has modeled for Maxim and Sports Illustrated. Ren also has her own activewear line, Ren Active, and placed fourth on the 27th season of Dancing With The Stars. She recently shared a set of photos of herself modeling a silver chain dress on Instagram. Ren’s impressive figure was on display in the post. Here are five ways she got that figure.
She Eats A Plant Based Diet
Ren shared some of her wellness secrets in an interview with Women’s Health. She says that she likes to eat a plant-based diet. "I've been dabbling in a plant-based diet for the last four years. I realized that there's such an abundance, you don't have to sacrifice taste or quality of food when you're vegan."
She Loves Salad
Ren shared some of her favorite foods in her Women’s Health interview. She says that she loves salads for lunch, and shared one of her go-to recipes. "I'll do kale salad," Ren said. “I'll chop up the kale I picked in small pieces with my hands and add onions and then garbanzo beans because they're a really good protein.”
She Believes In Moderation
Ren makes sure to eat a healthy diet. However, that doesn’t mean she deprives herself of sweet treats. Ren tells Women’s Health that she loves desert, and believes in moderation. “It's really about giving yourself permission to let things taste that good. Some of my favorite desserts are raw pastries. I always find it so fascinating that we can have pastries that are raw."
She Drinks Low-Sugar Wine
Another of Ren’s favorite indulgences is wine. However, she doesn’t just go for any old bottle. Ren revealed to Women’s Health that she looks for wines that are lower in sugar. "I may have a glass of wine like every two weeks. To be honest with you, I don't feel that well when I do. I look for an Italian, an Australian and Italian or French wine, because I find that they don't pump as much sugar into their wines."
She's Open
Ren wants to set a good example for her followers. One way she does so is by openly talking about her eating disorder. She talked about her struggles and encouraged people to not compare themselves to others in an interview with Cosmopolitan. "I kind of was just like, 'I’m just going to be upfront with everyone.’ I have nothing to hide. Looking up to girls for inspo is a beautiful thing, but comparing yourself is what creates the anxiety and self-hatred. It's really important that young girls know the difference."
