Alicia Keys in Bikini Is in Her “Zone”

Here are her top diet and fitness habits

Alicia Keys is cuddling up to her hubby in her bikini. In a new social media post, the Grammy award-winning singer shows off her fantastic body in a bathing suit while boating. “Stay in your own Zone,” her husband, Swizz Beatz, captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does the 44-year-old manage to look half her age? Here are her top diet and fitness habits.

1

Self-Love

Alicia is all about self-love and embracing your beauty. She told People that her advice to anyone struggling to put on a swimsuit would be to “know that you are so beautiful exactly as you are, in exactly whatever form you come in.”

2

Living Sustainably

Keys tries to live sustainably and has always been “conscious” of the term regarding everything from the products she consumes to those she uses on her body. “The first person that really introduced that in a very strong way is Stella McCartney,” she said. “I felt really inspired by that.”

3

Self-Care

Even though she juggles her career with motherhood, Keys prioritizes self-care. She grounds herself with self-care rituals, including meditation and reciting affirmations. “There are ways that you can honor the schedule you have and make space for yourself. Carving out that space to make sure you’re in touch with you is definitely important. I’m learning that better and better.” “When you meditate, you may clear away the information overload that builds up every day and contributes to your stress,” says the Mayo Clinic. Benefits include:

  • Gaining a new perspective on stressful situations
  • Building skills to manage your stress
  • Increasing self-awareness
  • Focusing on the present
  • Reducing negative emotions
  • Increasing imagination and creativity
  • Increasing patience and tolerance
  • Lowering resting heart rate
  • Lowering resting blood pressure
  • Improving sleep quality

Cycling

Keys is a fan of Spinning. “I love not having to go anywhere to work out,” Keys told Self about her go-to workout. “If I’m home, I’m able to just jump right in. I love my Peloton.” The Cleveland Clinic explains that biking, a low-impact aerobic exercise, is great for building muscle, improving strength and flexibility, and improving balance. It can also boost mental health and help other health conditions, including arthritis.

5

Mixing Up Workouts

Keys revealed to Self that she does a variety of workouts with occasional classes, including dance cardio, Pilates, and yoga.

6

Running

Alicia also loves outdoor workouts like running, hiking, and biking. “I know that being outside in the elements is something our souls need,” she told Self. “I feel invigorated and inspired. If I am carrying any extra baggage, I’ve usually dropped it once I am done.”
