Aly Michalka In Bikini Shares “Mermaid Vibes” On Vacation

The "Potential Breakup Song" singer and actress showed off her figure on Instagram.

Aly Michalka is having an amazing year. She and her sister, AJ, just released their new album, Silver Deliverer, and they’ve been touring the country. Aly and AJ also celebrated the 20 year anniversary of their debut album, Into The Rush. Despite her busy schedule, Aly found the time to go on vacation to Monte Argentario. She recently posted a photo of herself sitting by the water on Instagram. In it, Aly wore a black bikini and showed off her long, brown curls. She captioned the post, “Mermaid vibes, brought to you by prenatals.” How did Aly Michalka get her bikini body? Here are 5 of her secrets, and the photos that prove they work.

She Takes Care Of Her Skin

Aly has amazing skin, and she shared some of her favorite products with New Beauty. “I started trying these facial masks ($19) that I like by Biodance. They’re really nice. I like the texture of the actual mask itself—it’s kind of rubbery. I use my girlfriend’s skin-care line called Dewyer. It’s really nice and really simple. I like the exfoliating scrub ($35) and moisturizer ($35). I really like Tower 28. They have a really nice cream ($24) that I put on in the morning pre-makeup. It’s fantastic and really hydrating.”

She Doesn’t Always Condition Her Hair

As you can see from her Instagram photo, Aly has amazing hair, and she makes sure to take care of it. She shared some of her secrets in her New Beauty interview. “I don’t always condition my hair—I find that sometimes it takes some of the weight out of my hair. So sometimes I’ll just shampoo it and then towel dry it. I don’t even brush it out because I don’t really get tangles, and it keeps my waves a bit better when I’m diffusing it after the shower.”

She Does Pilates

Aly and her sister, AJ, shared their secrets for staying in shape with Parade. Both sisters are fans of Pilates. “It’s great for strength, for core,” Aly explains. “I love that there’s no way to bulk with Pilates. That’s impossible because you’re using your own body strength. It feels great on your joints. My body always feels so good afterwards.  And warmed up.”

She Chooses To Eat Healthier Foods

Aly makes sure to make healthy choices when it comes to food, even when she’s touring and has to rely on restaurants. She talked about this to Parade. “It’s not always the easiest, but when we’re in a city and there’s the option to have a pizza, you’re like, ‘Well, maybe I won’t do that, and I’ll get something instead that’s actually going to nourish me.'”

She’s Active On Stage

When Aly is touring, she still manages to workout, without having to go to the gym. She explains to Parade that she’s pretty active when she’s on stage. “Our show is kind of a workout; it is very physical. We are sweating and moving around on stage so that’s a form of an hour-and-a-half workout throughout the night.”
