They would then appear on two seasons of The Amazing Race, and their wedding was televised. Reilly made a third return to The Amazing Race with her sister, Elissa Slater. In January, Reilly shared a video on Instagram of herself going hiking with her family. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Rachel Reilly stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

She Hikes

As you can see from her recent post, one thing Reilly does to stay in shape is going for hikes. She captioned the post, "Loving this hike at #mossrock recently I've been taking time to explore the park in #birminghamalabama and it's a gem! I love the rock formations and #waterfalls my fav spots overlook the mountains and our other fav spot is the upper rock ponds!"

She Collects Rain Water

Reilly is all about helping the environment. In this Instagram post, she revealed that she and her family like to recycle and collect rain water. She captioned the post, "Have you tried making a simple rainwater catcher? Its easy get an attachment for your gutters buckets OR add DIY rain barrels with faucets It's #worldwaterday I've learned a lot about water when traveling to other countries – one big thing is access to water 💦 we take it for granted bc clean water comes from our spouts – on amazing race we had to go to a well fill up giant water containers and cart them back to the village – in CA & NV we always worried about a drought & I saw the levels of lake mead shrink year by year! Clean Drinkable Water is precious so slide through for ways to save water! Even if your state gets lots of water it's important to save when you can. – turn off the faucet when you brush your teeth or shave – take shorter showers – water plants with your rain water – recycle water you use for boiling pasta."

She Intermittent Fasts

In the caption of this Instagram post, Reilly revealed that she intermittent fasts. According to John Hopkins Medicine, intermittent fasting can help with obesity. "In animal studies, intermittent fasting prevented obesity. And, in six brief studies, obese adult humans lost weight through intermittent fasting. People with type 2 diabetes may benefit: Most of the available research shows that intermittent fasting can help people lose body weight and lower their levels of fasting glucose, fasting insulin and leptin while reducing insulin resistance, decreasing levels of leptin and increasing levels of adiponectin. Certain studies found that some patients practicing intermittent fasting with supervision by their doctors were able to reverse their need for insulin therapy."

She Bikes

Reilly shared these photos on Instagram of herself on a bike ride. She captioned the post, "Outdoor biking 🚴‍♀️ with hills > spin classes! Also way harder like ✨🔥 thankful @brendonvbb12 has the kids attached to his bike!" A Healthier Michigan states that biking has a lot of benefits. "All that work your body is doing by pedaling and balancing not only works muscles in your arms and core, but it counts as serious cardio exercise and burns calories with every spin of the wheels. By biking at a moderate pace, about 12 or 13 miles per hour, a person weighing 155 pounds burns nearly 300 calories in 30 minutes, according to statistics shared by Harvard University. Like to pedal faster? A person of that same weight doing a fast pace of 14 or 15 miles per hour burns more than 370 calories in 30 minutes."

She Goes To The Beach

Reilly spends a lot of time outside, and she loves going to the beach. She shared this photo on Instagram of herself on the beach. Med India states that going to the beach has a lot of benefits. "Spending time under the blue sky, experiencing the fresh air, admiring the sound and smell of splashing ocean waves, peacefully relaxing under the sunshine and feeling the warm sand beneath your toes can do magical wonders to your health and well-being. A day at the seaside can cause changes in your brain that make you feel happier, more relaxed, and full of energy. So, make sure you visit the beach to gain these amazing health benefits for healthy mind, soul, and body."
