Time for mega reformer Pilates!

Amber Nichole Miller is getting strong with Pilates – in her workout gear. In a new social media post the former UFC Octagon Girl shows off her amazing body during a workout. "PILATES > weak. If you live in Cape Coral and you would like to try mega reformer Pilates message me for a private training session!" she captioned the post. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1

Focusing on How Exercise Makes Her Feel

Amber focuses on how exercise makes her feel to stay motivated. "I've never wanted to quit because nothing feels as good as fit feels. I love feeling healthy and fit. It's a good example for the important people in my life also," she told Fitness Gurls.

Running

"Running is my favorite cardio because that's what I have always loved," Amber revealed to Fitness Gurls. "I was in track and field all through school. And running as always helped with endurance and cardio." According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. "For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories," they say.

Amber shies away from most supplements. "I have tried lots of supplements but to be honest I take my vitamins and juice," she told Fitness Gurls.

Variety in Exercise

One tip Amber would give to a person just starting their fitness journey? "Always switch it up," she told Fitness Gurls. "Never get stuck in a fitness routine because you will get bored and you will not see much change after a while." Each week adults need 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity and 2 days of muscle-strengthening activity, according to the current Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans.

Pilates

Amber relies on Pilates to keep her body in shape. Why is pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic there are lots of benefits to the workout, as it "strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health." It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.
