Jessie Graff is a fitness expert. She’s a stuntwoman. She’s competed on American Ninja Warrior. And she’s sharing her tips with her mother. In a recent Instagram post, her mother talked about how Graff helped with her pull-ups. “This is my pullup journey from 1 to 17 pullups, thanks to the encouragement and support of my daughter, @jessiegraffpwr , even if she had to PUSH me up! You can see the struggles, but just never give up. And thanks to @thepapercutninja for his great comments during the Military Challenge!”

She Does Pull-Ups

Graff shared some of her favorite workouts in an interview with Women’s Health. She says that she does a lot of pull-ups. “On the first set of regular pullups, I go until I can't do anymore, continue to hang, shake out one arm, then the other, and try to get another one, before I fall off the bar. I keep doing that until my hands can't grip the bar anymore. On that set, I'm going for all-time pull up max as well as max dead hang. My best is 30 pull ups and 3:05 min hang.”

She Does A Lot of Different Workouts

Graff tells Women’s Health that she does a lot of different things to keep herself in shape. “Having a varied workout keeps me prepared for all kinds of obstacle courses. I’m constantly at the mercy of who is available and wants to train with me so my schedule changes like the wind. At the moment I love rock climbing, boxing and air sprints.”

She Eats Healthy

Graff makes sure to eat a healthy diet. She talked about this in her Women’s Health interview. “My mind works best when I focus on the positive actions I need to take. Thinking ‘how can I make myself healthier with this meal’, inspires me to choose healthily - green leafy vegetables with bright colored side veggies, fish, lean proteins, healthy fats and nutrient dense whole grains. If I fill up on the nutritious food first then I’m less likely to crave dessert.”

She Doesn't Cut-Off Hunger

Graff talked about her diet in her Women’s Health interview. She says that one of her main goals is to not suppress her hunger. “The one rule I am really firm about is to avoid artificial sweeteners and appetite suppressants,” Graff shared. “They sever the connection to natural hunger and fullness signals, which are my best guide to healthy eating habits.”

She Gets Enough Sleep

Graff shared some of her wellness secrets in an interview with SELF. She says that getting enough sleep is important to her. “It’s hard with my chaotic work schedule. One day, I may start work at 4 A.M. or 5 A.M., and the next day, I’ll shoot all night, finishing at 8 A.M. or 9 A.M. Because of the stress I put on my body, I insist on getting eight hours of sleep.”
