Ariarne Titmus Shows Off Amazing Body, Says "Imma happy little vegemite"

Professional swimmer Ariarne Titmus shares her healthy eating habits and pre-competition meals.

Ariarne Titmus is a professional swimmer. She has won eight medals in the 2020 and 2024 Olympics. Titmus recently shared a set of photos on Instagram of her recent updates. In them, she is seen at the beach, on a boat, and spending time with her loved ones. She captioned the post, “Imma happy little vegemite.”


She Cooks

Titmus likes to cook a lot of her meals. She talked about this in an interview with She Society. “I find that I eat quite simple. One, it is easier and fast to prepare, but also, I have complete control over ensuring it is gluten free. Store bought sauces are the biggest worry, so I try to avoid them by making my own sauces and seasoning at home. Cooking is my outlet and time for me outside of the pool so I quite enjoy making up dishes and being as creative as I can with gluten free alternatives.”

She Has A Pre-Competition Meal

Titmus shares what she eats before competitions with Nine. “On competition day, you need to have maximum glycogen stores to race, but you also aren't expending as much energy as you would during a big training session. So, with this in mind, I usually have my usual gluten-free porridge for breakfast, eggs and avocado on gluten-free toast for lunch, a pre-race snack of yoghurt and gluten-free muesli and fried rice with chicken for dinner.”

She Still Indulges

While Titmus eats healthy on a regular basis, she also likes to indulge in the off-season. She tells Nine, “The off-season is the period that I can let my hair down a bit with my diet. However, I don't want to let my body composition change drastically, so I still try to maintain healthy eating habits with smaller portions because I'm not spending as much energy as I would be when training. I do eat out a lot more and allow myself a drink with my family and friends.”

She Stays Hydrated

One of Titmus’ wellness secrets? Staying hydrated. She tells Nine, “During a training session I have a bottle of water and an energy gel to hand, to help me through the session in the pool. Between swimming and workouts at the gym, I usually have a protein shake.”

She Eats A Variety Of Foods

Titmus shared some of her favorite foods with Nine. She says that she makes sure to include a variety of foods. “Dinner varies every night, but I always make sure it includes a good mix of meat, carbohydrates, and vegetables. During times of the year when I'm training and competing, I keep my diet quite basic, so that I can keep my weight as stable as possible. An example of my training dinner is steak with roast potatoes and a Greek salad, or satay chicken stir fry with loads of veggies and rice.”

Nati recently completed a half marathon. While training for the Buenos Aires 21k she admitted she was more focused on the journey than the finish line. “I don't care about the times, I care about the goal as a push and novelty to test and test me especially to my head. Real that we aren't (well, at least I) accustomed to immersing ourselves in an activity that disconnects us so much from all the constant banal stimulus,” she captioned a post.

4. She Rides Bikes

Nati also rides bikes. Aside from being a fun form of transportation, the Cleveland Clinic explains that biking, a low-impact aerobic exercise, is great for building muscle, improving strength and flexibility, and improving balance. When I get into competition, I want to be fresh and play good volleyball. It is like a mental game. For me, I am going to try something new, add another workout and see how I feel. You need to be humble enough to keep it and push through, or if to much, adjust. Australian model Elyse Taylor kicked off 2024 with some pool time (after all it’s summer Down Under!) and shared the pictures on her social media. 1. Confidence With Age

For Taylor, a good wellness routine is all about making her feel confident in her skin. “For me, how I eat and exercise is based on feeling comfortable at work in lingerie and swimsuits, (and being able to keep up with my kid)!” she tells Beauticate. “Modeling is more competitive than ever. I’m constantly on set with 18 year-olds, and I need clients to see us side by side and not think twice about my age. To make sure of this, I follow an eating style that works for me – the blood type diet – unless I’m on vacation or date night. I work out every single day unless I’m spending the day with my daughter. I do genuinely enjoy exercising, and find it really clears my mind and definitely helps get my body moving when I travel so much. I used to work with a trainer, but now I like to do my own thing, including skiing, climbing, swimming… really whatever works with my schedule. I’m pretty active and so is Lila, and I want to encourage that for her.”

2. Blood Type Diet

Taylor follows the Blood Type Diet, giving up coffee, dairy, and alcohol. “So basically you find out what blood type you are and there’s an app and a book you can read and it tells you what foods are good for your blood type,” she tells Vogue Australia. “Some categories that are great, some medium, and some obviously don’t eat. If you want to be really hard core you just eat the good ones, and it [the weight] literally just falls off. Like your skin, your hair, everything looks better. You know, it’s your blood, it makes sense. Everyone I’ve put on [the diet] has always done those juice fads or all that… and it’s either bloated them or they couldn’t stay on it. At least with this you can eat, but you’re not starving yourself. I found it really great, especially after having a baby.”

3. Taylor’s Day

Taylor enjoys healthy habits throughout the day. “I work out five days a week at the gym in my building or wherever I can on the road,” she tells Women’s Health Australia.” I do 60 minutes of cardio, like fast walking, and then 30 minutes of floor work, with a focus on my stomach, butt and legs. I also love to swim, it’s great for strengthening and toning. I have coffee at 5am when I wake. Breakfast is usually around 6am, which is a green juice and a banana. I eat lunch between 12-1pm and have a chicken salad or egg whites and spinach. Dinner depends where I am in the world, but it’s usually fish and greens. I try to drink lots of water throughout the day but could definitely drink more.”

4. Nude By Nature

Taylor is the face of natural makeup line Nude by Nature. “For day-to-day, I don’t like to use a lot of makeup in my down time so I’ll use the BB cream,” she tells Vogue Australia. “I’ve had this Nude by Nature one for a couple of months now, which is one of the perks of being the face,” she says, laughing. “So I’ve gotten to know the products perfectly. Then the [Nude by Nature] rose highlighter just on my cheeks if I’m going to a casting. I try to keep it as minimal as possible.”

5. Honest About Her Job

Taylor admits her job is literally to look good, and that is simply not realistic for the average person. “Remember that it is my job as a model to be taking care of how I look all the time,” she tells Beauticate. “An average woman doesn’t have the time, the energy or the finances to do that. Even the Victoria’s Secret girls don’t always look how they look in those shows – they prepare full time for months to look like that for one night. You need to focus on yourself and do what makes you feel good. Instagram really can be the worst. My best advice (and something I definitely do myself) is to unfollow anyone that makes you feel awful. Models or not, we are all women. We all carry our own baggage even when we try to put our head down and stay in our own lanes. So don’t make it harder for yourself than it already is.”

In a new social media post, the racecar driver reveals she is taking “the next major step” in her physical journey as a race driver “and I’ve set the target high!” she says in a new Instagram post, filled with video clips of herself lifting heavy weights at the gym. “Never been more motivated in my life, it’s not physically easy for a girl in this sport, but I’m super excited to take on this new challenge and the next big step on my racing journey,” she added. Bianca spends hours at the gym where she focuses on strength training along with endurance, cardio, reaction time, and reflexes. “You know, to be a driver, it’s a complete package. It takes strength. It takes mental fortitude. It takes reflexes, smart thinking, and survival skills,” she told MEGA Active. “Sometimes it's for the body, sometimes it's for the mind. Nothing more peaceful than early sessions,” she captioned an Instagram post of one of her sessions.

Double Down On Training

In her recent post, Bianca reveals that she working extra hard at the gym. “I’ve been working hard over the years to build a solid foundation, but in 2025, I’ll be working with @j_w_90 and I’m doubling down on my training. Increasing to two workouts a day not just on lifts but aerobic endurance, as well as a better focus on nutrition and rest, in order to raise the bar to compete in the higher formulas,” she said.

Fueling Your Body With Protein

Bianca makes sure to eat enough protein in order to build more muscle and stay as lean as possible to meet the weight requirement. “It’s been a really cool journey seeing my body develop and transform into this whole different person I never knew I could become,” she said. Taking Cold Plunges

As for recovery, cold plunging is part of Bianca’s training regime. Limited research supports the benefits of cold plunges, which may include easing sore muscles, bringing body temperature down, increasing focus, improving sleep, and decreasing inflammation, per the Cleveland Clinic. However, a 2021 study found that cold water immersion therapy promotes post-sport recovery.

Working On Self-Esteem

Positive self-talk is also important. “Of course, I put a lot of pressure on myself, but in the end, I always tell myself that as long as I give my best and I learn from it, any mistake I make is valid,” Bianca explained. “I always try to repeat that to myself that I am valid.
