Ashley Greene is reminding her fans and followers how important fitness and health are for overall happiness. Greene, 37, shared a video of herself wearing black workout gear, lifting weights at the gym and doing strength training exercises. “Being consistent with your health is the best gift you can give yourself. Mindset over motivation. @stark.health @stephanie_urbz #healthiswealth,” she captioned the post. Here’s how the actress stays fit, happy, and strong.

1. Active Lifestyle

Greene has always lived a very active life. “Growing up, my parents always encouraged sports and physical activity,” she told The Chalkboard Mag. I started martial arts very young, and I guess that would be the moment – I remember how much I loved always striving to be stronger, better and more disciplined. I have an app on my phone, Stretching Sworkit, that I like. It has both stretching and pilates. I also have a really steep, long driveway that I’ll sprint up and down alongside my pups.”

2. Rise Nation

Greene loves a good cardio session. “My favorite type of workout for a fun, fast-paced, full-body cardio fix would probably be Rise Nation,” she told SELF. “I love a great hike because it clears my head and I can take along the pups. And for an intense strength workout, I love training with Jason Walsh at Rise Movement.”

3. Lots of Water

Greene says she drinks water before, during and after her workouts. “When I’m at home I enjoy coconut water as well,” she told The Chalkboard Mag. “I mentioned Organic Muscle Milk previously, but it really gives me what I need to recover. I also drink tons of water to rehydrate – and the occasional iced green tea, if I need an extra pick-me-up.”

4. Loving Her 30s

Greene is grateful for every year that passes. “My mother always told me I’d love my 30s, and I finally understand what she meant,” she told New Beauty. “I feel like I am finally coming into my own, and I’ve got so much to accomplish in the years to come. I’m genuinely excited about getting a bit older and wiser.”

5. 30s Skincare Routine

Greene focuses on good hydration when it comes to her skincare routine. “Once I hit my 30s, I began to immediately see a difference in my skin if I neglected to hydrate it internally and externally, so there is a lot more focus on that,” she told New Beauty. “My beauty regime has certainly taken center stage. I love clean beauty brands that have limited but impactful ingredients. OSEA Hyaluronic Acid and Sea Cleanser, Beautycounter Vitamin C and #3 Balancing Oil are daily go-tos. Beautycounter also has a great overnight resurfacing peel I swear by. Ilia is my favorite clean beauty brand, their Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 is my favorite way to get daily SPF defense and a beautiful natural glow.”

British-Indian actress Sophie Choudry is reminding fans about the important things in life. Choudry, 42, shared a reel of herself doing a variety of different workouts, including one where she’s doing a mat workout in orange leggings and a black sports bra. “Good health is the greatest wealth!! Regular exercise, a healthy diet, nature, love and doing things that make your heart happy! Take care of yourself physically and mentally!!” she captioned the post. Here’s what the star’s diet, training, and wellness regimen looks like.

1. Weekly Workouts

Choudry works out four times a week. “I do Pilates, strength training, and cardio,” she told Times of India. “I go four times a week. I don't work out to be skinny or anything like that. As soon as work gets full-blown again, in terms of stage shows and shooting, you need to be fit to be in this line of work. It makes me really happy and I enjoy working out.”

2. Pilates Sessions

Sophie.ChoudrySophie Choudry/Instagram

Choudry loves Pilates best out of all her workout choices. “I think if you are lucky to find the form of workout you enjoy, then you will be excited to go,” she told Times of India. “For some people, it's weight training, yoga, running, dancing. For me it is Pilates. Because I love it so much so it never feels like a routine or chores. It is something I am really passionate about. I still try to do some stuff online at home because I realized that I enjoy that. It is possible to stay fit at home. There is so much stuff available online on YouTube. It is really about your determination.”

3. Pandemic Workouts

Choudry switched to online workouts during the pandemic lockdowns. “I somehow managed to stay fit through lockdown by doing online sessions with my trainer, Yashmin Karachiwala, and followed YouTube videos,” she told Times of India. “With all of us being stuck in our homes, one thing we have to do is focus on our health. Working out helps me to keep my physical fitness and mental sanity. I got into such a good routine through the lockdown.''

4. Beauty Diet

Choudry likes to take care of her skin through her diet. “I know that people put all kinds of things on their faces. Fruits, nuts, vegetables but that's not my thing,” she told IDiva. “I prefer to eat healthy and let that reflect on my skin. If I feel a little pale in color, I start drinking a blend of apple, beet and carrot juice. In a couple of days, the skin looks brighter.”

5. Not a Party Girl

Choudry lives a quiet life. “Contrary to the glam-party image, I hardly ever drink and I don't smoke,” she told IDiva. “I'm in bed by 12AM and up at 7AM, and I eat healthy. But yes sometimes, if I've indulged in unhealthy goodies, I workout more, drink a lot of coconut water, mint tea and I eat a lot of salads and fresh fruit. That works well for me.”

Ashley Tisdale took a much needed mom’s getaway with some of her famous pals over the weekend! The High School Musical alum enjoyed a kid-free getaway with celebrity pals, including Meghan Trainor and Hilary Duff at the Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa, showing off her fabulous figure in a swimsuit. “Moms weekend away! 1. She Claims Walking Is a Game-Changing Workout

TisdaleAshley Tisdale/Instagram

Ashley revealed that walking was the workout responsible for making her feel like herself again after welcoming her first child. "Getting back with my trainer @harleypasternak has changed my body tremendously and honestly it's all about getting your steps in," she said in an Instagram Story. "His method isn't hard and my body isn't left feeling like I tortured it. I can't believe what my body has gone through over the last year and a half. I'm so grateful for it and honestly can't believe how strong I feel." Wearing a Fitbit, she aims for 14,000 steps a day. "All I do is walk lol but it's effective," she said. "I'm only sharing this because after months of working hard and trying everything, these small changes in the last three weeks is what have done the most," she continued. "It's the difference of how I feel. It's all about moving, finding ways of walking. Taking the dogs out with the baby for a stroll, taking meetings while walking vs. sitting." She also claims it is good for her mental health. "It's honestly what has helped my mental health as well," she added. "Having the extra energy from anxiety, just taking a walk and putting on a walking meditation always makes me feel better."

2. She Focuses on Low Impact Workouts

Tisdale, who has "borderline thyroid disease," adds that low impact workouts help her condition, in addition to diet. "I eliminate gluten (sometimes 😛), dairy and do everything I can to not have to rely on medication but a lot of it is not creating stress on the body and even though working out is great, the different methods can create more stress and do more damage," she said. "So using @harleypasternak technique helps me reach my goals but not over exert myself."

3. She Mixes Up Her Workout

In addition to training with Pasternak, Ashley also stays fit through a variety of other workouts. "I've worked my butt off. Whether it's hiking, Pilates, riding on my Peloton,” she wrote on Frenche.

4. Her Diet Is Balanced and Healthy

She also revealed on Frenche that diet is a big part of the equation. “While I haven’t mastered his recipes yet, I’m excited to dive deeper into them. He always says, ‘you can’t out-walk a bad diet,’ and I’m trying to live by that too,” she said about Pasternak’s plan. “In the past, I practiced yo-yo dieting that wasn’t sustainable instead of focusing on making lifestyle changes. That’s ultimately the opposite of Harley’s methods. He emphasizes the importance of fueling the body with food rather than depriving it of certain foods. My entire point is that while it’s easy to get caught up in wanting fast results from your diet and exercise regimen, it’s not a healthy mindset to have. It’s not a race; it’s a lifestyle, so I’m sure the more I do it, the better I’ll get at it.”

5. She Claims Ditching Dairy Is Responsible for Her Glow

Dairy,Products,On,Wooden,Background,,Top,ViewShutterstock

“Skin never looked so good,” Ashley said in an Instagram video. “I would love to say it’s just the products I use but I’ve been dairy free for 5 years and I swear it changed everything with my skin. I barely break out,” she added. “I know it’s hard to give up something but when you do, after awhile, you barely crave it and I feel healthier.”

1. She Lifts Weights

Ashley revealed to Coach magazine that weight lifting is her go-to workout. “Lifting gets my heart rate up and makes me look amazing, but more importantly it makes me feel strong. Scrap that, I don’t just feel strong – I am strong, and I think it’s important for women to feel that way. The only thing I don’t like about it are the callused hands. They suck. I went back to LA recently and didn’t do any weight training for a while and it was the first time in ages that I didn’t have hands that looked like I’d been working in construction,” she said.

2. She Mixes in Lots of Other Workouts

Ashley also sweats via a variety of other ways. “I love spin, I love yoga, I love boxing, weight training, dancing. And oh my god I'm obsessed right now with this class at the XR; it’s the best cardio and the music! They have the best playlist and if you close your eyes, it's like you’re in Mykonos or something,” she told Express UK.

3. She Eats (Mostly) Vegan

Ashley keeps animal products to a minimum. “I’m pretty much a vegan now, but I don’t think having to eat that informed my decision – not consciously at least. I try to have a good diet,” she told Coach. “Every now and then I’ll have a treat, but I love most healthy foods so it’s not as if I’m depriving myself. My trainer sometimes worries I’m not getting enough protein, but I have vegan protein smoothies to make up for the lack of meat and fish.”

4. This Is Her Go-To Green Smoothie

Ashley drinks this green smoothie almost every morning. “Most mornings I blend up a bunch of organic greens, such as kale and spinach, add some raw fruit such as banana, avocado and blueberries, then finish it off with some almond milk and maybe some agave if my sweet tooth needs satisfying. Finally, I add some vegan protein powder to ensure I hit my quota for the day. Try it. Even if you’re not vegan I guarantee you’ll love it,” she told Coach.

5. She Works Out for Physical AND Mental Health

Flackstock Festival 2022 - VIP Guests :Dave Benett/Getty Images

Ashley doesn’t workout only to look good. “For me, I enjoy working out for my physical health but to be honest it’s more for my mental health, it just makes me feel better and it gets the endorphins going,” she told Express.

6. She Walks

Ashley makes sure to get her heartrate up, even on days she isn’t in the gym. “Even if there is a day where I am not working out hard, I try to get outside and just go for a walk and be in nature. It is a part of my life and I enjoy it and it makes me feel good,” she told Express.

7. She Prioritizes Hydration

Ashley maintains that one “overlooked” secret for health is hydration. “Coming from the desert, we have to drink water to stay hydrated. It is so overlooked in a sense but drinking lots of water is really good to stay hydrated, to stay flushed, and to stay healthy. Drink the H2O kids!” she told Express.

Rayna Vallandingham is flashing her washboard abs – in a two-piece exercise set from Alo. In a new social media post the actress flaunts her impressive midsection during a workout at the gym. “dojang diaries,” she captioned the series of snaps. “Magnific! Very very beautiful,” commented one of her followers. “♥️More like diaries of a hottie♥️” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here are her top lifestyle tips.

Be Consistent

Consistency – at the gym and the martial arts studio – is the key to success. "It is a way of life," Rayna says. "It's not only teaching your body movements and being in synchronicity with your body, but also just like the mental aspect of it."

Fight Your Way to a Hot Body

Rayna is a big fan of martial arts. She has been doing taekwondo since she was 2, earning her first black belt at 6. "In the very beginning, my parents put me in the sport because I was just really shy, and I think they could tell that I needed something," says Vallandingham, who lives and trains in Los Angeles. "Immediately, I just loved it. I felt at home, and every single day, instead of watching Dora, I wanted to go to the dojo,” she told Well + Good. Studies confirm that the practice helps with balance, cognitive function, psychological health, weight loss, and physical fitness.

Work on Strength and Flexibility

Rayna recommends prioritizing strength, flexibility, and power. "Of the three, I think strength and flexibility are the top two," Vallandingham says. "We used to have people stand on my legs and force my knees to come down in butterfly stretch," she says. "I have permanent damage to my body—I have tendonitis [because of this]."

Lift Weights

If you want a strong, lean body like Vallandingham, you must lift for it. The star strength trains, focusing on supersets, doing two moves back-to-back that target the same muscle groups to double down on their gains. One of her favorite exercises is a goblet squat. She stands with her feet shoulder-width apart, folded forward until she can slide her palms underneath her soles (you could also hold your ankles or calves), then bends her knees, lowering her butt toward the floor while lifting her chest, coming into a deep squat. She'll bend and extend her legs several times in this position. Then, it's on to the main event, holding a weight in her hands while bending down into a deep squat. "I love utilizing a Bosu ball—they're pretty much in every single gym," she adds.

Stretch

Rayna never skips stretching. She starts by by lying on the floor with her legs up the wall and then allowing them to open out into a side split. "I let gravity do its work because that's my body telling me, okay, this is where we're at," she says. "My hips are opening on their own, and I'm not having to force anything." “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints,” says Harvard Health. “Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.”

Charli Hawkins is training in the snow – in her two-piece workout gear. In a new social media post the Olympian shows off her fantastic figure – including her flat abs – in an exercise set while enjoying the winter weather. “TRAINING IN A WINTER WONDERLAND! ❄️🥶❤️✨Gearing up in this altitude for the LONDON MARATHON this April! I’m so excited to see what my mind and body can make happen! To my marathon runners: it’s your time to shine, PLEASE tell me ALL of your tips, all of your advice, and for all of you who understand what I’m about to attempt, please send your words of encouragement 😂 Also feel free to try to talk me out of this as well thanks👍 We are on the training countdown. Turning a sprinter, jumper, and thrower into a long distance runner 🫣🙌 What do you think my time will be?” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Minfulness and Meditation

Charli practices mindfulness. Before going for a run, she says words of intention. “I am willing. I am grateful. I surrender,” she revealed during an interview with San Diego Magazine. Meditation:

“When you meditate, you may clear away the information overload that builds up every day and contributes to your stress,” says the Mayo Clinic. Benefits include:

  • Gaining a new perspective on stressful situations
  • Building skills to manage your stress
  • Increasing self-awareness
  • Focusing on the present
  • Reducing negative emotions
  • Increasing imagination and creativity
  • Increasing patience and tolerance
  • Lowering resting heart rate
  • Lowering resting blood pressure
  • Improving sleep quality

Stretching

She also makes sure to stretch. “If you ever can think of some dynamic stretches: F.A.S.T. ✨🙌 My left hip and right QLs have been SO tight lately so I’m on a journey of getting them right! What’s bugging you at the moment???” she captioned a post. “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints,” says Harvard Health. “Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.”

Here Is The Right Way To Run

During her interview with San Diego, Charli explained how you should be running. “Remember, the sole of the foot is showing right in front of us,” she said, doing a type of high-knee movement. “To do this, you’re over exaggerating your running form while standing still. Raise your knee up, point your toes to the clouds (forming an A), and then pedal the sole of your foot forward before striking your knee down. It’s more complicated than it sounds after 30-plus years of moving a certain way,” the writer explained.

Positive Attitude

In a recent post Charli revealed things she learned about positivity. “Patience is easier when it isn’t required,” she said. “The people around you are BLESSINGS (which I feel like I already understood but sometimes it’s nice to have it emphasized).” Also, “We are up, we are down, but trusting the process sometimes means knowing that it’s all good even when it’s not the best” and “Making a plan is the best option for everything. It’s ok if the plan doesn’t go perfect, but just willy-nilly-ing it is not the best option when you want to get things done.”

Never Giving Up

Charli refuses to give up. “Understand what you want first, and then go for it. Then keep going for it all the time, and, eventually, you’ll get it,” she said during her interview.

Giulia Arena first made waves when she won the 2013 Miss Italia pageant. Since then, she’s become a successful actress, TV host, and model. Arena recently took a trip to the Maldives. She shared a set of photos on Instagram of herself at the beach. In them, Arena is seen in a white swimsuit. She captioned the post, “Native habitat.”

Biking

Giulia enjoys cycling. During her trip to the Maldives Giulia went bike riding. The Cleveland Clinic explains that biking, a low-impact aerobic exercise, is great for building muscle, improving strength and flexibility, and improving balance. It can also boost mental health and help other health conditions, including arthritis.

Reading

Giulia is also a fan of books. In the Maldives, she took some time to relax and read. One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

Snorkeling

Giulia snorkels, recently discovering the “Sea Lung,” she revealed in a post. “It reaches 60cm long with a weight of almost 10kg, and represents the largest medusa of the Mediterranean. I don’t know why, but I have always experienced the charm of Jellyfish: creatures that are essentially simple and yet capable of surviving entire geological epochs floating, light and slow, between the currents. She, remains one of the most beautiful sights of this summer.” Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Coffee

Giulia is a coffee drinker. She especially likes shots of espresso. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Yoga

Giulia is a yogi. Here she is doing yoga. There are many reasons to do yoga, according to Harvard Health. “Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood,” they said. “People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating.”
