Sarah Roberts is an extremely successful actress. She’s best known for her role on the hit Australian series, Home and Away. In May, she shared some photos from Los Angeles on Instagram. She captioned the post, “Eat | Pray | Love | Shmact | Friends 🤟🏽🎬💞 **New & old & so many I didn’t even get the chance to snap. LA #ily 🫶🏽” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Sarah Roberts stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Eats Healthy

Roberts makes sure to eat a healthy diet. She shared her typical meals in an interview with New Idea. “It depends on the day and how I’m feeling, but breakfast may be scrambled eggs with bacon or sausages,” Roberts said. “Lunch if I’m being good might be a salad from the studio canteen – I really like the haloumi salad – and dinner may be steak or salmon and salad.”

2. She Does TRX

Roberts likes to do TRX workouts to stay in shape. She shared this photo on Instagram of herself in the gym, using the ropes. Roberts captioned the post, “Big shout out to my big bro & his trainer Pat at The Muscle Clinic for continuing to kick my ass while I was here in Dublin. Won’t be rolling back into Summer Bay...phew!”

3. She Does Workouts She Enjoys

What’s Roberts’ secret to working out on a regular basis? Doing things she enjoys. “I don’t really enjoy the gym,” she said to New Idea. “I like to go running along the beach and I like to dance too – that makes me really happy. And yoga. I think our bodies are so intelligent and can tell us so much about how we’re feeling. I want to try and make exercise choices that make me happy on the inside.”

4. She Does Yoga

Roberts told New Idea that she loves yoga. Harvard Health states that yoga can help with self-esteem. “Yoga develops inner awareness. It focuses your attention on your body's abilities at the present moment. It helps develop breath and strength of mind and body. It's not about physical appearance. Yoga studios typically don't have mirrors. This is so people can focus their awareness inward rather than how a pose — or the people around them — looks. Surveys have found that those who practiced yoga were more aware of their bodies than people who didn't practice yoga. They were also more satisfied with and less critical of their bodies. For these reasons, yoga has become an integral part in the treatment of eating disorders and programs that promote positive body image and self-esteem.”

5. She Dances

Roberts also told New Idea that she likes to dance to stay fit. According to Better Health, dance has a lot of benefits. “Dancing can be a way to stay fit for people of all ages, shapes and sizes. It has a wide range of physical and mental benefits including: improved condition of your heart and lungs, increased muscular strength, endurance and motor fitness, increased aerobic fitness, improved muscle tone and strength, weight management.”

Lacrosse champion Alex Aust is sharing throwback summer bikini pictures to herald the approach of the colder months. Aust, who is a Team USA gold medalist, posted a snap of herself wearing a tiny bikini while posing in the surf at the beach, looking fit and sunkissed. “When AA reminds you she creates magic,” Aust commented about famed photographer Alex Ashman. So how does she do it? Here are 5 ways Aust stays fit, strong, and happy.

1. HIIT Workouts

Aust is a big fan of HIIT workouts, and shares her routines online. “HIIT can help to decrease body fat, increase strength and endurance, and improve health outcomes, but it is not necessarily better than other exercise formats,” say the experts at Harvard Health. “Its main appeal is that it can achieve similar fitness and health benefits in a shorter duration, and that it includes periods of rest.”

2. Say No To the Scales

Bathroom,Scales,On,White,Background,,Top,View.,Weight,Loss,ConceptShutterstock

Aust refuses to weigh herself, instead focusing on her strength and energy. “As athletes, we don’t have that stick-thin body type, but at the end of the day, our bodies are our vehicles,” says Nicole Aust, Alex’s sister and former Maryland Lacrosse teammate. “If Alex’s body is skinny and small, it’s not going to perform the way she wants it to on the field and she’s learned to cherish that.”

3. Professional Trainer

Aust developed at-home workout The Sweaat Life to continue working out during the pandemic lockdowns. “All of the things that I am involved with, I think back to my training at Maryland, hearing Cathy’s [Reese] voice in the back of my head, telling me to believe in myself,” she says. “That definitely is something that I constantly reflect back on when I do something or I put myself out there for another goal I am trying to reach.”

4. Sports Illustrated Model

Aust was emotional about her photoshoot for Sports Illustrated, as she worked incredibly hard to make it happen. “I felt every emotion I had in the past eight months,” she says about seeing the pictures for the first time. “Working my butt off to be the best version of myself. I saw that in a moment. I never realized a photo of yourself could be that powerful.”

5. She’s a Role Model

Being a role model for young female athletes is something Aust takes seriously and is proud of. “What’s more important than actually playing, though, is being able to reach these young female lacrosse fans,” she says. “That’s my biggest thing. To me, it’s super important that we have the visibility of the WPLL and have it on ESPN3, so that the girls on my club team can watch us play and see these high level athletes and hopefully in 15 years see them on these teams, which would be really, really cool.”

Taylor Hill, the supermodel and former Victoria's Secret Angel, is no stranger to being in front of the camera. That’s one reason why she’s so good at social media. She has almost 19 million Instagram followers, who come to see her latest looks; accordingly, she shared her latest swimsuit scenes from Zara Swim. “Stunning Lady,” said Emily in Paris star Lily Collins. “Tay so beautiful❤️❤️” commented fellow model Elsa Hosk. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Taylor Hill stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Does Group Fitness Classes

Hill has gone to ModelFit, which did full-body group fitness classes. "We do a lot of slow, muscle-targeting movements with gliding discs and two-pound weights. Almost kind of floor Pilates in a way because we get on the floor, and she puts resistance bands around my ankles and things like that. It's so hard—it doesn't sound hard, and it doesn't look hard, but I could back squat, like, 85 pounds, and I quiver when I do this. I'm like, Oh my God, I can't stand up anymore because I'm so sore! It's amazing," she told Byrdie.

2. She Tried Strength Training

"I used to do a lot of weight training, lifting, and things like that," she says. "It was really difficult, which I liked, but then I realized I wasn't getting the results that I wanted. You have to drink gnarly protein shakes and all of that to build that muscle, especially when you're as tall as me. I'm like; I can't develop muscle; it's just not working!” she told Byrdie.

3. She Used to Bulk Up Before a Show

Off-White : Front Row - Paris Fashion Week - Womenswear F/W 2022-2023Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images

“I eat 3,000 calories a day before the VS show. Three thousand!” she told The Sunday Times back when she was modeling for Victoria’s Secret. “There’s no way you look like that and don’t eat. You would die. Victoria’s Secret girls are like athletes. We’re like Olympians. We’re strong.” She added: “I just love being me.”

4. She Cares for Her Skin

Moschino - Backstage - Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2022/2023Vittorio Zunino Celotto/Getty Images

“I just keep it really easy, and I use really clean products without a lot of chemicals in them. I use a very simple face wash called CeraVe. It’s for [removing] makeup that causes acne. And then I use coconut oil for hydration. It’s the best! Hair, skin and nails,” she once told Coveteur. “When I’m not working, I literally don’t have a beauty routine. I try to just roll natural, because, you know, I work everyday and put makeup on like crazy everyday. I think on my days off, it’s really nice to just give my skin a break and just hang out; put my hair in a knot and just walk around.” Consuming coconut oil can be good, as well. “It's the quality of your cholesterol that matters, and coconut oil actually increases the good cholesterol, HDL. It increases the LDL, but it makes the particles better so they're not as damaging,” says Dr. Mark Hyman to the Mayo Clinic.

5. This Was Her Diet in NYC During the Victoria’s Secret Years

Armani "One Night Only" - Front RowCedric Ribeiro/Getty Images

"I drink protein shakes, eat a lot of chicken, and try to make more home-cooked meals. It's really hard in New York because everything is so small. My kitchen is tiny, but it's nice because it forces me to learn something new every day and not cook the same things over and over. Snack-wise, I like dark chocolate just because it's something sweet and it makes me feel like I'm eating what I want," she told Allure. Dark chocolate is a healthy choice. "Flavanols are a type of flavonoid that’s found in plants such as the cacao tree. These trees produce the cacao beans used to make chocolate," says the Cleveland Clinic. “Flavanols are abundant in cacao beans,” says dietitian Devon Peart, MHSc, BASc, RD. “The cacao beans are fermented and roasted, producing what we call cocoa beans. We make cocoa solids from those" and dark chocolate "contains two to three times more flavanol-rich cocoa solids as compared to milk chocolate,” Peart adds. “It’s significantly higher.”

Water Skiing

Sydney Sweeney arrives to "The Road to the Golden Globes Party"

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Mariana Morais is "Rooting for Us All"

5 Simple Fitness Habits To Stay Toned Like Mariana Morais

We are committed to bringing you researched, expert-driven content to help you make more informed decisions around food, health, and wellness. We know how important making choices about your overall health is, and we strive to provide you with the best information possible.

Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. Sometimes we take steps back & that’s just a sign to course correct so we can leap forward. If 2024 wasn’t the year you expected, use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, & carry on. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Prioritizing Digestion and Getting Blood Work Done

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Pilates

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
