"Also impressive… all these other humans we made!!"

Autumn Reeser is tapping into her equestrian side – in her workout gear. In a new social media post The O.C. star shows off her amazing body and horseback riding skills during a trail ride. "Neigh," she captioned the post. "Horse people. For a minute:) Thanks @saguarocompanystore and @meegs.lo for the adventure… and for keeping this friendship train going since we were 12. Pretty impressive. 🙂 (Also impressive… all these other humans we made!!)" she captioned another post of the ride. How does the star approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Dancing

To get into shape for her 2017 action flick, Kill 'Em All, Autumn hit the dance floor. "I'm a dancer, so I danced a lot," she told OK! Dancing is a great workout for many reasons. Not only does it build strength and promote flexibility, but helps you lose weight and even promotes cardiovascular function. A 2016 study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine determined that people who engaged in moderate-intensity dancing were 46 percent less likely to develop heart disease or die from it than non-dancers. In comparison, moderate-intensity walkers were just 25 percent less likely to suffer heart health issues.

She also "started doing this [class] called Orange Theory," she told the publication. "It's really hard! It involves half an hour of running on a treadmill and then weights." There is lots of research backing up the benefits of HIIT workouts, including body fat reduction, improved cardiovascular function, and mental health. It is also time effective.

Healthy Eating

"I eat pretty healthy to begin with too," Autumn revealed to OK about her diet. "I eat lots of vegetables, I eat lots of protein, and I'm not a big sweets person." She added to Levo: "Lunchtime typically consists of an avocado sandwich, a frozen pizza paired with some greens if I manage to prepare them, or crackers and cheese accompanied by fruit."

Coffee

Autumn is a coffee drinker. "When I'm in need of refreshment, I make a beeline for Coffee Bean and treat myself to an indulgent Caramel Ice Blended—an icy-sweet concoction that never fails to hit the spot!" she told Levo. "Currently, I'm in love with the salted caramel latte from LaMill Silverlake—it's simply the ideal combination of sweet and bitter! To savor this amazing drink, even more, my team and I often arrange Move LifeStyle business meetings at LaMill just for that purpose. Trust me, you won't regret indulging yourself in their heavenly coffee!"

Hiking

She also enjoys hiking, she told Levo. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems

Horseback Riding

In her latest post Autumn goes horseback riding. According to the American Heart Association, riding horses is great for your health. Not only does it boost cardiovascular health, but builds core strength, burns calories, and lowers blood pressure. It is also great for your mental health as it helps relax you.
