Avani Gregg is showing off her dance moves – in her workout gear. In a new social media post the TikToker and Chicken Girls star flaunts her flat abs while doing a nostalgic dance. “#dance #nostalgia” she captioned the post. “Pretty,” commented one of her followers. “You look just as good😭😭💔💗” added another. How does she approach diet, exercise, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1. Hot Tea

In a video detailing her morning skincare routine, Avani reveals that she starts her day with a hot tea and honey. Numerous studies have shown that a variety of teas may boost your immune system, fight off inflammation, and even ward off cancer and heart disease.

2. Jet Skiing

Avani enjoys jet skiing when she is on vacation. “Need a ride?” she captioned a post from Bora Bora. According to Health Fitness Revolution, the average 150-pound rider will burn a surprising 238 calories during a half-hour ride. The sport is also great for cardiovascular endurance.

3. Hydration

Avani GreggAvani Gregg/Instagram

In the video detailing her morning, Avani drinks water out of a large bottle she carries with her. According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is important for a variety of reasons. Water helps get rid of waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature normal, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.

4. Stretching

Avani, who was a gymnast in her teens, understands the importance of stretching. “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints,” says Harvard Health. “Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.”

5. Social Media Cleanses

“Taking care of my mental health while being on social media and my wellbeing in general, is very hard. That’s why I usually take breaks. I will take 3-5 days of staying fully off my phone just doing beauty stuff, doing random makeup stuff, laying in bed, eating my favourite food, to get me back in the right mindset so that I can give the best content out to everyone else,” Avani revealed to Glamour UK.

Hawaiian surfing champion Anastasia Ashley previously said she is not into the cold—but this time she’s making an exception to go snowboarding in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Ashley, 37, shared a video of herself wearing purple leggings and a matching cropped tank top, layering more and more clothes on top of her outfit. “Getting ready for snowboarding means a ton of gear 😝,” she captioned the post. Here’s what Ashley’s many favorite workouts look like.

1. Her Favorite Workouts

Ashley’s favorite workouts aside from surfing are racing and spinning. “I love spinning—I think it is one of the best workouts besides surfing,” she told Surfer.com. “I try and go to the gym Equinox, they have the best classes. I love driving, even though I'm not the best car driver (haha). I like to go out to the desert and drive dune buggies in the sand dunes. I also like to get my race on at K-1 Racing. It's an indoor kart racing course with gas powered cars.”

2. Healthy Hawaiian/Asian Food

Ashley genuinely enjoys healthy foods, especially fresh produce and Hawaiian/Asian cuisine. “I try to eat really healthy,” she told Surfer.com. “I'm not really a fan of junk food or anything super processed. I eat Sambazon Acai all the time. It's a great pre-surf meal. One of my favorite places to eat is Captain Mauris in San Clemente. They have really great fresh squeezed juices and salads. I also love Hapa J's as well. They have great Hawaiian/Asian inspired food and a fun atmosphere.”

3. Bikinis, Not Wetsuits

Ashley will always choose a bikini over a wetsuit. “The more fitness I do, the more energy I feel. I love going to group workouts with friends,” she told The Purist Online. “I’ve done my share of Barry’s Bootcamp and kickboxing. I also love hiking or biking. The more fitness I do, the more energy I feel. I like to surf in warmer water. When I’m in a wetsuit, I know I’m on the wrong beach.

4. Twerking Warm Ups

Ashley is infamous for her cheeky twerking warm ups before hitting the surf. “I definitely like to zone out and get excited by making a great playlist and blasting my headphones,” she told Guest of a Guest. “I try not to talk to anyone and focus. I like to do jumping jacks, stretches, and get loosened up for the events, and I'm known to get lost and dance a little!”

5. Role Model For Next Generation

Ashley didn’t have many role models growing up—but she wants that to change. "I want to be out there and show you can be a strong, fearless, independent athlete and be a woman," she told Refinery29. "Growing up, it wasn’t a cool thing to be a female athlete or a female surfer. It taught me to be strong and do what I love.”

Kelly Burglund is recreating a movie scene – in her workout clothes. In a new social media post the actress shows off her figure in exercise clothes while recreating an iconic movie moment from 10 Things I Hate About You with her boyfriend. “0 things I hate about you ♥️,” she writes in the caption. “Cute,” commented one of her followers. How does the Heels star approach diet, fitness, and self care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1. Prior to Heels, She Was a “SoulCycler”

Berglund discussed her physical transformation for Heels with SheKnows. Prior to shooting she had a dance and gymnastics background and enjoyed spin classes. “I go to SoulCycle and that’s about it!” she told her trainer for the show. The Cleveland Clinic explains that biking, a low-impact aerobic exercise, is great for building muscle, improving strength and flexibility, and improving balance. It can also boost mental health and help other health conditions, including arthritis.

2. Three Hours of Training Per Night

To get in shape prior to shooting, Berglund spent three hours a night wrestling. Then, for season two, she amped it up even more. “I trained for five months going into season two, because Crystal is much more of a wrestler now. I wanted to bulk up and look more like a wrestler,” she added to The Hollywood Reporter.

3. Bulking and Cutting

Much like real wrestlers, Berglund bulked and cut. “So I was eating a pretty strict bulking diet of lots of protein, and then cutting closer to when we were filming the show, I was training for about three hours a day, five days a week. And that continued on as we started filming in Atlanta. They built us another gym like they did in season one, and we were in there on all of our off days with the stunt team. Even the cast that aren’t wrestlers were coming into the gym; it became this community. So it was extremely difficult, but I’m so proud of myself for getting through it. And in watching the second season, I’m grateful that it comes across,” she told THR.

4. Ice Baths

Kelli cools down with ice baths. “Thank you for having us @denmotherwellness 🌿 pure bliss is fighting for your life in an ice bath together,” she captioned a recent post. There is limited research supporting the benefits of cold plunges, which may include easing sore muscles, bringing body temperature down, increased focus, improved sleep, and decreased inflammation, per the Cleveland Clinic. However, a 2021 study found that cold water immersion therapy promotes basic post-sport recovery.

5. Dance

Kelli also blasts calories via dance. “I take dance classes (when I can) in my free time… it’s still such a love of mine, plus, it’s a great workout!” Kelli told Naluda. Dancing is a great workout for many reasons. Not only does it build strength and promote flexibility, but helps you lose weight and even promotes cardiovascular function. A 2016 study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine determined that people who engaged in moderate-intensity dancing were 46 percent less likely to develop heart disease or die from it than non-dancers. In comparison, moderate-intensity walkers were just 25 percent less likely to suffer heart health issues.

Vanessa Hudgens is getting a Pilates session in at the Alo Studio – and showing off her baby bump. In a new social media post the actress flaunts her belly in a crop top and leggings post-workout. “Lil Pilates + Laura Quinn = Win win,” she captioned the Instagram Stories image. Vanessa is a longtime Pilates devotee. Here is everything you need to know about her Pilates workouts.

1. Vanessa Is an Athlete

Nonna Gleyzer, one of the High School Musical star’s Pilates trainers, recently told us that “It’s extremely easy to work with Vanessa, because she is by far one of the most coordinated, focused, and very in tune with her body people. She is also very flexible and has amazing control. It’s like working with a dancer and an athlete at the same time,” she says. “She is very active and does different workouts all the time. She just loves to move her body.”

2. Leg Day Workout

“We usually start with the foot workout on the reformer and training the legs in every dimension possible,” says Gleyzer about Vanessa’s leg day workouts. “The thighs contain several muscles. The quadriceps and hamstrings help us bend and extend the hips and knees. The adductors move the legs inward toward each other. The pectineus and sartorius let you flex and rotate the thighs at the hip.”

3. Ab Day Workout

On ab day, Vanessa does “lots of abs with the pilates ball as well as side ups on the Pilates spine corrector. This allows her to get deeper into the muscles while protecting the back,” she says.

4. Upper Body Workout Day

Vanessa’s upper body workouts are done on the Pilates Cadillac, “where we use the roll-down bar to arm and do lots of moves that involve stretching and control,” she says.

5. Vanessa “Knows Her Body Well”

Overall, Gleyzer maintains Vanessa is a great client to train. “Working with Vanessa is incredible and so easy as she knows her body so well and loves to see results,” she says.

6. She Does 3 to 4 Pilates Sessions Per Week

Vanessa.HudgensVanessa Hudgens/Instagram

Vanessa trains with Nonna at her Body By Nonna studio three to four times a week. “When it comes to pilates and when we work together, we see each other 3 to 4 times per week,” she reveals. During the sessions they work the whole body, but also focus on a single group of muscles.

Anita Herbert, the fitness trainer behind the successful Summer Shred program, is pulling a Lego Batman and not skipping a leg day. She posted a video of herself feeling the burn when doing squats and more. “True story 🥲—especially when it’s the second leg day this week!👀 Who can relate?” she captioned it. Here are some other ways she stays so in shape.

1. She Does Hanging Leg Raises

“When you think of an exercise routine for your core, most people think of sit-ups or planks, which are great exercises for your ‘six-pack’ ab work,” exercise physiologist Griffin Nykor, RKin, CPT, tells the Cleveland Clinic. “Leg lifts are an important complement to that because they get at the muscles that make up the rest of your trunk — your lower back, glutes, hip flexors and your transverse abdominus (the muscle that sits under your six-pack).”

2. She Likes High-Protein Snacks

Check out this great video about her favorite high-protein snacks. A sample:

“🩵 Bone broth - 50 calories per bag and 10 g protein Just ask for hot water on the plane or at a coffee shop when you are ready to have it.

🩵 Protein bars - Look for ones that are low in sugar and high in protein.

🩵 Protein powder - I put a serving of iso whey by @onesthealth in my shaker and just add water when I’m ready to drink it. linked in my bio!

🩵 Protein chips - Perfect for snacking on while watching a movie, and the macros are a lot better than regular chips, 130 calories per bag with 17g of protein and only 4g of carbs.”

3. She Does Hip Thrusts

“I usually program a hip thrust variation 2-3 times / week, using different rep ranges,” she captioned one video. “You can perform all of these variations with a dumbbell, kettlebell or smith machine instead.”

4. She Has Perfected the Crunch

“These tips will level up your ab game 🫡 Train your ABS instead of your ❌hip flexors!” she captioned one great video. “Focus on:

✅ Curling your chest towards your hips

✅ Reducing your range of motion and really focus on using your abs, no momentum.

✅ Squeezing your abs at the top

✅ Lowering yourself down slowly

✅ Breathing correctly: inhale on the way down and exhale on the way up.”

5. Yes, She Really Does Not Skip Leg Day

“Having strong glutes, quadriceps, hamstrings and calf muscles gives your body a strong foundation and can,” sais Piedmont Health:

  • “Tone your lower body muscles
  • Boost your metabolism as you increase muscle mass
  • Give you a higher calorie burn as you train larger muscle groups
  • Improve your balance
  • Strengthen your bones
  • Reduce joint pain”

1. Sumo Squats with Kettlebell

Vanessa started off her mini workout video, which was first shared by her trainer in May, by perfectly executing sumo squats with a kettlebell. The compound exercise is incredibly effective, forcing a variety of muscles -- including glutes, quadriceps, calves -- to workout together. Clearly she was having some fun with her fitness routine, as she playfully stuck out her tongue for the camera.

2. Side Squat with Resistance Band and Medicine Ball

In another compound exercise, Hudgens held a medicine ball while she executed a slide squat, a move made extra hard with the addition of a resistance band around her ankles.

3. Reverse Lunge to High Knee with Dumbbells

Next up, a reverse lunge to high knee with dumbbells. Another compound move, this exercise works everything to the legs and butt to abs.

4. Vanessa Also Does a Bunch of Other Workouts

In addition to weight and strength training, Vanessa stays in shape with lots of other workouts. Pilates, Soul Cycle, hot yoga, and strength training are a few of her favorite workouts—and sometimes she even does multiple workouts a day. “Some days when I have the time, I love doing Pilates first and then going over to Soul Cycle. I love a double up!” she told Parade. “I always feel so accomplished when I double up. I’ve been going to this Pilates studio called WundaBar for years and it’s just a great deep muscle-training workout. It’s not super high intensity but I always feel it the next day.”

5. She Works Out Daily

One of the key ways Vanessa stays in sensational shape is by working out daily. “I would do seven days if I had time,” she told Parade about her workouts. She tries to get her workouts in as soon after waking up as possible. “I love starting my day off that way because sometimes I’ll have a less productive days and if I’ve gotten a workout in, then I feel like I’m accomplished no matter what.”

Leonie Hanne is living her best life in Thailand – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the German model flaunts her fantastic figure in a $750 Missoni bathing suit while enjoying a boating day in the tropics. “She dreamed of a tropical adventure 🦋,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. ”So beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Leonie enjoys the perks of caffeine. In one of her posts from Thailand, she drinks a cup of coffee at the poolside. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Pilates

Leonie does Pilates at the super exclusive London studio Pilates in the Clouds. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

At-Home Workouts

Leonie tries to get a workout in daily, preferably in the morning. I still try to get up early to maintain a sense of routine. I start every day with a quick at-home workout and a homemade acai bowl, before starting work on emails and content creation. I’ve been getting really into TikTok lately, it’s funny and keeps me feeling energised!” she told Arcadia.

Community

It takes a village, according to Leonie. “Community is key! The people you surround yourself with are more important than ever, as we are all trying to find ways to stay connected without being physically present. Speaking to people either on the phone or through social media can shift your mindset and motivation more than ever before,” she says.

Small, Healthy Habits

Leonie focuses on maintaining small, healthy habits. “Do something every day that brings you joy. Even if that means having something small to look forward to, like having your favourite snacks around the house or changing into an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself,” she says.

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Tammy Hembrow is a fitness influencer and expert. She has her own app, called Tammy Fit. Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

She Lifts Weights

Tammy Hebrew is seen using dumbbells.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”

She Loves Bananas

Tammy Hebrew has a banana snack.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen enjoying bananas in her “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. The Cleveland Clinic states that bananas have a lot of benefits. “A single medium-sized banana offers about 32 mg of the mineral magnesium, which fulfills around 8% to 10% of your daily magnesium requirement. Magnesium is involved in many processes in your body, including: Blood pressure. Blood sugar levels. Building proteins. Maintaining bone. Muscle function. Nerve function.”

She Loves Cottage Cheese

Tammy Hebrew's snack the contains banana and cottage cheese.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen enjoying her bananas with cottage cheese in the previous Instagram video. Cottage cheese is very healthy. UCLA Health reports, “Cottage cheese’s protein content and low calories make it an ideal food for weight management. Research shows that whether you are trying to lose weight or reduce your risk of overweight or obesity, eating a high-protein diet can help you feel full and satisfied for longer.”
