Katherine Langford has starred in some of the biggest movies and TV shows. Her breakout role was as Hannah Baker in the Netflix adaptation of 13 Reasons Why. She then followed it up with roles in Love, Simon, and Avengers: Endgame. Langford is Australian, and is enjoying the country’s summer weather. In a recent post on Instagram, Langford is seen wading in the ocean. She captioned the post, “How’s the serenity.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Katherine Langford stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Keeps Her Skin Moisturized

Langford opened up about her skincare secrets with Glamour. “I feel like now I'm very much into hydration, especially when I'm traveling, or when I'm spending time in the UK. I feel like my skin can get really dry in the winter. I love a hyaluronic acid serum, L’Oreal Paris does a really good one – the Revitalift Filler – and then I usually have a vitamin C and a moisturiser over the top.”

2. She Has Support

Katherine,Langford,At,The,Us,Premiere,Of,Netflix's,'glass,Onion:Shutterstock

In her interview with Glamour, Langford shared some of her self-care practices. She says that having supportive people surround her helps a lot. “I think the answer is obviously gonna be different for everyone. For me, it's important to be around good people or people that make you feel really positive – and environments that make you feel positive. But also, find what works for you.”

3. She Reassures Herself

Concrete,Wall.,Be,Who,You,Want,To,BeShuttterstock

Langford is all about having confidence in herself. She tells Glamour that she makes sure to reassure herself when she’s doing something new. “I think it's important just to have that reassurance, and know that whatever you wanna do – and whatever you wanna be – you can do it. You can be it and it's okay.”

4. She Supports Causes

London,,Uk.,July,30,,2019:,Katherine,Langford,At,The,UkShutterstock

Langford supports different causes. In her Glamour interview, she promoted the Walk Your Worth event. Langford also said in her interview that she supports different feminist and female-focused events. “For this year's Walk Your Worth, I personally feel very inspired. I feel like it's a really empowering day, so I just hope that people can take away the celebration of sisterhood and just enjoy the day, enjoy the event, and feel really empowered in themselves.”

5. She Believes In Self-Care

Langford is all about self-care. She shared her secrets in an interview with Allure. “I think self-care takes so many different forms. I used to think some kind of grand beauty gesture or a beauty extravagance was self-care, but I didn't really grow up with that. Over the past couple of years, I've really recognized it more as self-love. When I've been working on things that were really grueling, I would get a massage every once in a while. But while at home, I also use masks and moisturizer and just been extra caring towards my skin.”

1. Emilia Clarke

Los,Angeles,-,Sep,22:,Emilia,Clarke,At,The,PrimetimeShutterstock

Emilia Clarke stars in Marvel’s Secret Invasion. She works with trainer James Duigan to help her stay in shape. He shared some of Clarke’s secrets with Healthista. “What we have always done is focused on health first, which we have understood is the fastest way to get into shape. Any transformation that happens in the body happens in the mind first. It works unbelievably well and we have a great reputation in the industry for getting people looking and feeling amazing, better and faster than anyone else in the world.”

2. Teyonah Parris

New,York,,Ny,-,October,9,,2018:,Teyonah,Parris,WearingShutterstock

Teyonah Parris stars in the DisneyPlus series, WandaVision. She talked about how she approaches roles to Kinfolk.com. “Certainly, with every role, I ask what the character has to say. How does she add to the narrative of being a human, but more specifically a woman and a black woman? No matter what I do and what roles I choose, I’m going to be a black woman.”

3. Tatiana Maslany

West,Hollywood,,Ca/usa,-,September,18,2015:,Tatiana,Maslany,AttendsShutterstock

Tatiana Maslany plays the title character in She-Hulk: Attorney At Law. She opened up about why she wants the character to be viewed to Entertainment Tonight. "I think that there's a cultural obsession with the certain physique that goes along with these movies sometimes," she shared. "I certainly fell prey to that idea, and I definitely don't think it's a thing that we should be pursuing 'cause it's just these weird standards that none of us can actually keep up with unless we're going to the gym 1,000 times a week."

4. Jameela Jamil

Los,Angeles,-,Nov,2:,Jameela,Jamil,Arrives,To,TheShutterstock

In order to stay in shape for her role in She-Hulk, Jameela Jamil works with trainer Al Jackson. He shared some of Jamil’s wellness secrets with Shape Magazine. “We make sure to have tiny bites on hand to sweeten the deal during tough workouts, without feeling uncomfortable," he says. "Many [people] don't feel great eating while training, but it works for her.”

5. Kathryn Hahn

Kathryn,Hahn,At,The,Us,Premiere,Of,Netflix's,'glass,Onion:Shutterstock

WandaVision star, Kathryn Hahn, shared her favorite workout with TODAY. “I do like to break a sweat for my mental health. It’s good to move. I take a class called Pop Physique. It’s only an hour. It hits every part but not all at the same time. I like it. It’s like a meditation.”

6. Hailee Steinfeld

London,,United,Kingdom,-,November,29,,2021:,Hailee,Steinfeld,ArrivesShutterstock

Hawkeye star Hailee Steinfeld shared some of her diet secrets with Women’s Health. “My relationship to food is rather simple,” she says. “I eat when I'm hungry. I eat so that I can train, I don't train so that I can eat. And I feel I can perform to the best of my ability if I have that mindset.”

7. May Calamawy

London,,United,Kingdom,-,March,17,,2022:,May,Calamawy,AttendsShutterstock

Moon Knight star, May Calamawy broke down her daily routine to Harper’s Bazaar. “I drink my matcha tea at 9:00 on days when I don’t work out, and at noon on days that I do. I love black tea and coffee but unfortunately they both give me bad headaches. On days when I’m working out, I usually start my routine around this time. I work out with weights three times a week and try to supplement that with restorative yoga to get me ‘in’ my body. I was always intimidated by weights but I love them so much now; it’s all about finding the right trainer who gets what you want.”

8. Elizabeth Olsen

Elizabeth,Olsen,At,The,World,Premiere,Of,'avengers:,Endgame',HeldShutterstock

Elizabeth Olsen makes sure to stay in shape to play the role of Scarlet Witch in different Marvel projects, specifically WandaVision. In 2015, she shared her fitness secrets with Allure. 9. Hayley Atwell

Hayley,Atwell,At,The,Los,Angeles,Premiere,Of,'christopher,Robin'Shutterstock

Strength, mobility and injury prevention… @sameastwoodtraining and I have been working together for the movie and I continue to learn so much from her.”

10. Jon Bernthal

Los,Angeles,-,Jun,14:,Jon,Bernthal,Arrives,For,TheShutterstock

Jon Bernthal plays the title role in the series, The Punisher. He shared his secrets for getting in shape with Men’s Journal. “Usually we’ll start with a little strength work, whether it is taking on squats or the bench press, doing five sets of three at the maximum weight. There’s a lot of supersetting, and bodybuilding weight practices. Then we work on a lot of MetCon [metabolic conditioning], doing as many rounds as we can, trying to get each movement just right. It will usually be about five or six full-body moves, like pull-ups or cleans. We’ll do that for somewhere around 20 minutes or so. Then in the afternoon we’ll do boxing or jiu jitsu workouts between scenes. I always want to box, but they really try to keep me working my whole body as much as possible. On top of that, learning the fights for the show or weapons training is almost a whole other workout on top of that. So it probably works out to three separate big, different workouts a day.”

11. Charlie Cox

London,,Uk.,September,12,,2018:,Charlie,Cox,At,The,WorldShutterstock

Charlie Cox shared how he got in shape to play the title character in Daredevil with Business Insider. "One of the difficulties for me is that I'm naturally very skinny, so the problem that I have is trying to keep weight on, put weight on. I have to eat six, seven times a day, and I have to have a lot of carbohydrates to try and fatten me up so I have something to turn into muscle."

12. Krysten Ritter

Los,Angeles,-,Apr,26:,Krysten,Ritter,At,The,LoveShutterstock

Krysten Ritter played the title character on Netflix’s Jessica Jones. She shared her diet secrets in an interview with Train For HER. “I’m big on juicing – all greens. Luckily, I don’t have a sweet tooth, so I’m more into kale, cucumber, spinach, parsley and celery. I’ve also cut out gluten, dairy and fish for the most part, and I’ve felt so much healthier and better since. Jessica Jones was an eight-month shoot so I needed the energy and my health to be on point. Also, with this. I increased my clean proteins with the working out.”

13. Deborah Ann Woll

Deborah,Ann,Woll,At,The,World,Premiere,Of,'captain,America:Shutterstock

Deborah Ann Woll talked about playing Karen Page in Daredevil to Harper’s Bazaar. She says that she has ideas about how to make the TV character differ from the comics. “I’m not a huge fan of her trajectory in the comic books. I think there's an old-fashioned idea that the way to make a female character interesting is to sexually compromise her, and I don't know that we have to go down that path any longer. What I don't mind is allowing Karen to make a lot of big mistakes. One of the conversations that I had with our new showrunner on Daredevil, Erik Oleson, was that if we ever do delve into Karen’s past, please don’t make it that she shot someone while saving a busload of children. You know? I wanted to encourage him to make this difficult, make it something hard for her to get over, and so we can hopefully pull off something pretty interesting. I like the idea of compromising the character in some way, but I just don't know that it has to be sexual, or that it has to be in a way that causes her to lose her strength.”

14. Tom Hiddleston

Tom,Hiddleston,At,The,Premiere,Of,Disney,And,Marvel's,'avengers:Shutterstock

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Tom Hiddleston talked about playing Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and what he wants people to take from it. “In my research into the character and the ancient stories, Loki’s identity has always been fluid in his gender and sexuality,” Hiddleston said. “It was a privilege to touch on it this time. I’m aware it’s a small step and there’s further to go, but I hope that people felt represented by it.”

15. Mike Colter

Los,Angeles,-,Feb,23:,Mike,Colter,Arrives,For,TheShutterstock

Mike Colter talked about the process that earned him the role of Luke Cage to Muscle and Fitness. “As I got into the business, I realized that there is a niche for someone like me who is pretty, you know, capable, but can also play the bigger guys, and play an action role, because I wanted to diversify my resume. And, as luck would have it, when I started looking, to think about doing action films, I put on some weight, I started working out a little more, because I wanted to just change it up a bit. And, that’s kinda how I look at it. I try to stay within striking distance of being able to drop a little bit of weight, or put on a little weight, depending on what I’m gonna do.”

16. Adrienne Palicki

Adrianne,Palicki,-,Star,Of,"lone,Star",-,At,FoxShutterstock

I love our creative team and Paramount has treated us exceptionally well. As you know, we've taken some big swings on this show already. I've just been gobsmacked at how many times the network has gotten it. Even just something like the comedy. Comedy is a risk!”

18. Mahershala Ali

19. Rosario Dawson

Los,Angeles,-,Jan,11:,Rosario,Dawson,On,The,RedShutterstock

Rosario Dawson, who plays Claire Temple in different Marvel TV shows, shared her wellness routine with Us Weekly. “I walk everywhere. I drink a lot of water. I try to get as much sleep as possible. Everything else about my schedule and routine is inconsistent, so if those types of things I can do, they’re really important… I can always take the stairs rather than use the elevator or the escalator.”

20. Kat Dennings

Beverly,Hills,,Ca,Usa,-,Nov,21,2019:,Kat,DenningsShutterstock

Kat Dennings plays Darcy Lewis in different Marvel projects, like WandaVision. In 2015, she opened up about changes she made to her diet on Instagram. "To explain, I realize as I've grown older (28 cough cough) that I still eat like a teenager. Candy when I'm bored at work, stress eating, snacking at night, etc, and that's completely allowed and a natural part of being a human BUT I want to start making more of an effort to put health on the front burner as I coast into the eventual dark abyss/exciting new world of my 30s."

Manifest star Ellen Tamaki had a beautiful few months spent with friends and family, posting highlights on her social media. Tamaki, who plays Drea Mikami on the Netflix show, shared pictures of herself from video phone conversations, including a snap of her posing in a brown bikini in a beautiful little yard. “It’s been real,” she captioned the post. Here’s how Mikami lives her best life, and what she’s hoping for next career-wise.

1. Beauty Maven

Tamaki swears by specific beauty products for her gorgeous complexion. “Laneige lip sleeping mask- at all hours of the day,” she says. “Weleda Skin Food single handedly changed my skin. It’s very thick, so perfect for winter dryness. Supergoop glow screen SPF every day, but sometimes I use this as my foundation! There’s a little tint and shimmer to it. PawPaw ointment- for problem areas, I have had an ongoing feud with a dry patch under my nose for as long as I can remember. One of my makeup artists on manifest introduced me to pawpaw and I slather it on. I rarely wear makeup when home for the holidays, so my favorite beauty look is glowy skin! Sometimes my siblings line up and I do all of their skin care, too.”

2. Not Just a Love Interest

Tamaki is appreciative about playing a strong, complex character who isn’t just the romantic interest. “I love seeing women on TV who have more relationships than just romantic ones, and I think there can be something so dynamic and professional about female friendships and that’s kind of what we have been discovering throughout the season is the way that these two characters get along and learn from each other,” she says. “Drea comes in at the beginning and is just so infatuated with Mic and is trying to get Mic to warm up to her a little bit.”

3. Ocean Swimming

Tamaki went on a magical trip to Bali earlier in 2023 where she swam and snorkeled in the ocean. “To my Bali baddieeees- thank you for the trip of a lifetime. From spirituality and support, to morning bintangs and debauchery, I’d like to think that all of our little islands formed a perfect archipelago. Thank you @adawsss for bringing us all together. This insane jet lag was worth it,” she captioned an Instagram post detailing her adventures.

4. Superhero Dreams

Woman,Shadow,On,Wall.,Mixed,MediaShutterstock

Tamaki wants to explore more physically challenging roles in the future. “When I think into the future and the projects I want to work, I feel like I love and gravitate toward roles that are super grounded and driven and moral,” she says. “I’ve read some scripts recently that are really fascinating about incoming new Congresswomen who want to evoke change in the government. Or maybe even in the vein of a detective, but the scrappy detectives who figures out that there’s something wrong with the system and she goes on and tries to fix it. I’d love to work on something really physical. My training is in physical acting, and I once played Billie Jean King, the tennis player, and so I think that if there were something where I could use my physical acting training, maybe like a superhero that I would love to dive into.”

5. Love On Set

Tamaki genuinely loves her co-stars and enjoys spending time with them. “I mean, that’s the judicious answer, right? To be like ‘everyone’s amazing,’ but it’s true, this is one of the greatest shows I’ve worked on, cast and crew and you know everybody involved, but the person who actually came to mind is Parveen [Kaur], who plays Saanvi,” she says. “I ended up getting close to her hanging out in New York and we were able to have like a couple of days on set together, but we didn’t have to get to have a big story-arc. Our characters have two totally separate situations going on and they’re really complicated stories, but I think it would be really cool to work with her and to see how these two women could maybe start figuring stuff out together.”

Game of Thrones star Gemma Whelan is having fun at the beach, much to the envy of her friends and social media followers. Whelan, who played Yara Greyjoy on the HBO megahit, shared a very cute picture of herself doing an impressive handstand on the beach, wearing a blue and lilac bathing suit. “Seaside upside,” she captioned the post. “Handstand envy Gem 🙃 Could never master the art 🤷‍♀️😍,” a fan commented. Here’s how she feels about her time on GoT, and taking on high-intensity roles.

1. No Crazy Stunts

London,,Uk.,February,10,,2019:,Gemma,Whelan,Arriving,For,TheShutterstock

Whelan considers herself to be a fit, active person, but draws the line at doing her own stunts. “I think I used to be quite gung ho about it like ‘Of course, I’ll try anything’ whereas now I’m very much appreciative of the help from the stunt doubles,” she says. “I’m fit, I love running, I think there are a few I definitely could but it’s not my job. There are people properly trained to do all the extreme stuff, I think I’ll leave it to them… As I said, it’s a necessity and they’re expertly trained. I’m not a method actor by any stretch, I leave work at work. There have been some roles that are quite consuming and then a lot to get over but I’ve never really been at the point where I couldn’t shake them off. I’d think I’d be concerned if that was the case.”

2. Costume Dramas

Whelan enjoys the immersion she gets from period and costume dramas. “For period dramas, the costumes and the words do a lot of the heavy lifting,” she says. “When the writing is so good but also so much different than the modern way of speaking, and then these costumes that are perfectly engineered to fit you in this setting, the character feels more natural than anything. I’ve loved them all for different reasons, they’re all a part of me but I do always miss going to Game of Thrones because the rhythm of my year became such as going to Belfast and meeting up with the—we were like a family, so meeting up with them over there. And Gentleman Jack as well, I was really sorry that didn’t go ahead for a third season.”

3. Working Mother

Los,Angeles,,Ca.,July,12,,2017:,Actress,Gemma,Whelan,AtShutterstock

Whelan was thankful to return to Game of Thrones with the support of the team when she had a baby. “I thought I’d be on the shelf for a little while after having the baby, which is fine, but I was very lucky,” she says. “It was similar with Game of Thrones, actually. I went back with my daughter and she was six weeks old and they allowed for breastfeeding… That should just be a normal thing – you have a child and you have to feed it but you’re working as well.”

4. Swimming In the Sea

Whelan loves swimming in the sea, especially in beautiful Cornwall, UK. “Happiest most beautiful relaxing time with friends in this stunning little place. Thank you so much @portwrinkleholidays for the most extraordinary home for the weekend and the freshest air and the warmest hot tub and the coolest sea swim - we will be back. Highly recommend for a complete escape and switch off,” she captioned an Instagram post.

5. Friends Forever

Whelan is still friends with her Game of Thrones costars—research shows close, ongoing friendships are incredibly beneficial for health. “Alfie [Allen] and Emelia [Clarke] are dear pals and I see Iain Glenn around here because he lives not far from where I live,” she says. “It was a long time. We knew each other for a span of about 10 years and it was a family… I just loved every single moment… it was very, very special.”

Bianca Bustamante is revving up her engine in 2025 – in her workout gear. In a new social media post, the racecar driver reveals she is taking “the next major step” in her physical journey as a race driver “and I’ve set the target high!” she says in a new Instagram post, filled with video clips of herself lifting heavy weights at the gym. “Never been more motivated in my life, it’s not physically easy for a girl in this sport, but I’m super excited to take on this new challenge and the next big step on my racing journey,” she added. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here are her top lifestyle tips.

Lifting Weights

Bianca spends hours at the gym where she focuses on strength training along with endurance, cardio, reaction time, and reflexes. “You know, to be a driver, it’s a complete package. It takes strength. It takes mental fortitude. It takes reflexes, smart thinking, and survival skills,” she told MEGA Active. “Sometimes it's for the body, sometimes it's for the mind. Nothing more peaceful than early sessions,” she captioned an Instagram post of one of her sessions.

Double Down On Training

In her recent post, Bianca reveals that she working extra hard at the gym. “I’ve been working hard over the years to build a solid foundation, but in 2025, I’ll be working with @j_w_90 and I’m doubling down on my training. Increasing to two workouts a day not just on lifts but aerobic endurance, as well as a better focus on nutrition and rest, in order to raise the bar to compete in the higher formulas,” she said.

Fueling Your Body With Protein

Bianca makes sure to eat enough protein in order to build more muscle and stay as lean as possible to meet the weight requirement. “It’s been a really cool journey seeing my body develop and transform into this whole different person I never knew I could become,” she said. In her new post she added that she is meal prepping. “I’m soooo all in that im even learning how to cook & meal prep better than ever before,” she writes.

Taking Cold Plunges

As for recovery, cold plunging is part of Bianca’s training regime. Limited research supports the benefits of cold plunges, which may include easing sore muscles, bringing body temperature down, increasing focus, improving sleep, and decreasing inflammation, per the Cleveland Clinic. However, a 2021 study found that cold water immersion therapy promotes post-sport recovery.

Working On Self-Esteem

Positive self-talk is also important. “Of course, I put a lot of pressure on myself, but in the end, I always tell myself that as long as I give my best and I learn from it, any mistake I make is valid,” Bianca explained. “I always try to repeat that to myself that I am valid. I’m here for a reason and there’s nothing I would rather do than be here.”

Brenda enjoys jogging. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. “For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories,” they say.

Walking Her Dog

She also takes her dog on long walks. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Dancing

You can also find Brenda dancing to burn calories. Dancing is an excellent workout for many reasons. It builds strength and promotes flexibility, helps you lose weight, and even promotes cardiovascular function. A 2016 study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine determined that people who engaged in moderate-intensity dancing were 46 percent less likely to develop or die from heart disease than non-dancers. In comparison, moderate-intensity walkers were just 25 percent less likely to suffer heart health issues

Swimming

Brenda spends a lot of time in her swimsuit so it isn’t surprising she loves to swim. According to the CDC, swimming is a good way to get regular aerobic physical activity. Just two and a half hours per week of aerobic physical activity, such as swimming, bicycling, or running, can decrease the risk of chronic illnesses. In addition to the many physical benefits, multiple studies support the mental health benefits of swimming.

Hydration

Finally, Brenda hydrates, especially after a long workout or sun exposure. According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is essential for various reasons. Water helps eliminate waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature regular, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.

She Supports Animals

Romani has her own charity, Help Miami Cats. She talked about how she started this in the caption of this Instagram post. “❤️ Guys!!!! I have always loved cats and had many growing up. When I moved to Miami Beach I met a great calico named Chacha and learnt that cats were brought to the city by Mayor Lummus … against rodents. Cats rely on volunteers for their food and water and there’s a huge amount of them. There’s a city program to Spay and neuter with the wonderful @sobecats ladies and the feeding is made official by a City Sanctioned badge, yet new cats keep getting dumped daily sadly and there’s a never ending amount of work, emergencies and so on. I was on a feeding rotation but during the pandemic I was left alone caring for so many as people left town or couldn’t afford feeding anymore …I decided to start my own non profit @helpmiamicats . We feed close to 200 and when Batman got paralyzed took him and other special needs cats under my care … @stevensachs69 with the cat room and the amazing people involved devote their lives to these special souls … My life has changed a lot too … way less spare time, way more sweat and tears and lost the person I had by my side who had sadly other priorities … yet gained so much love from these lovely creatures !!! If you can please get involved in any way … follow @helpmiamicats , share, volunteer, adopt … donate … Only together we can make their world a better place !!! And yes … just me feeding the kitties and talking to them … 🤷🏻♀️👀😆❤️🙌”
