Ayesha Curry wears many impressive hats. The 36-year-old is a cookbook author, TV host, businesswoman, and actress. She's the proud mom to four adorable children, whom she shares with husband and NBA star Stephen Curry. The celeb has also been open about her wellness and fitness journey, as she lost 35 pounds a couple years back. Here's everything Curry has said about how she keeps herself in top shape.

1. She Considers Working Out To Be a "Staple" in Her Life

Curry told Harper's Bazaar that exercise is a top priority in her life.

"Fitness wasn't really a part of my lifestyle and I'd say the past year and a half post-having all of my kids, it's really become a staple for me and it helps me have mental clarity," she said. "I feel like I'm in the best shape of my life. I find that I'm happier when I work out. So I do try to work out at least five days a week, whether it's riding my Peloton bike or doing some sort of FitBit workout."

Other forms of exercise Curry does? Golfing and paddle boarding.

2. She Prepares Healthy Meals

Naturally, the cookbook author is an amazing chef. She told Harpers Bazaar that she enjoys cooking for her family.

In the morning, she loves a smoked salmon scramble, which is a recipe she included in her first cookbook. Curry also enjoys whipping up a traditional ackee and shellfish breakfast, complete with homemade dumplings and a side of plantains. She'll prepare a fresh arugula or spinach salad for lunch after working out, along with a chocolate protein shake.

Another one of Curry's go-to's? "I love to just make oxtail rice and peas, fried plantain, because it reminds me of my family … and it's just so darn delicious; I can't get enough of it," she shared with Harpers Bazaar.

3. She Sets Goals

4. She Doesn't Compare Her Fitness Journey to Her Husband's

Curry shared that she previously compared her fitness routine to her husband's, which made her try workouts that weren't the best fit for her. Since then, she's learned to focus on her personal wellness journey.

"I'm married to a high performance athlete who does it all. And I think I had to be honest with myself and realize that I can't do that and I don't have to do that to see the results that I want to see. I kind of had this inner competition that didn't exist. And so I was almost always defeated in whatever it was that I was doing because I couldn't do it to that level. I think I had to take a second, take a deep breath and just realize, do what you can and that's enough," she told PEOPLE.

Curry does many different workouts to keep herself in shape. She shared some of her favorites with PEOPLE, saying, "For me, taking a hike and being out in nature, or going for a jog, or working out for 20 minutes instead of an hour actually works better for me. And I started to see more results. Pilates and yoga and hiking, that's the stuff that I saw the most change."
