Sarah Villegas is showing off her “fitness lifestyle.” In a new social media post featuring the bodybuilder, she shows off her amazing figure in a two-piece exercise outfit while holding weights. “First reaction.. OH MY !!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥,” commented a fan. “Incredibile!” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1. Multiple “Layers” to Conditioning

Sarah told Alina Popa and Lenda Murray about what people should know about conditioning on a recent episode of Femme Flex Friday, per Muscle & Fitness. “I think people need to realize there are multiple layers to that. You have leanness, you have dryness, and you have fullness. And all three of those things are very separate,” Villegas explained. “And when you master each one of those, that’s what gives you conditioning.”

2. Aim for “Leanness”

“A lot of times you can have people that aren’t lean enough, and they say ‘well, I was too full.’ You weren’t too full, you weren’t lean enough,” Sarah said during the interview. You have to start with leanness then focus on water balance and fullness of the muscles. “You have to remember that you can only achieve conditioning if you master all three of those.”

3. It Helps You From Acquiring Too Much Body Fat

“Staying too lean keeps you from growing, but obviously, you know, acquiring too much bodyfat in the offseason keeps you from growing as well,” Sarah added. “You lose your shape, and it can be easy to lose sight on what you need to work on.”

4. Lots of Lower Body “Hard Work”

Sarah explained to RX Muscle that she does a lot of lower body workout. “Now you have the best legs in the women's division. What is a body part that came very easy to you? Are you like one of these maniac trainers, squatting heavy and stuff like that? Was it hard work or was it genetics?” she was asked. “Definitely I would say hard work. I would say that they responded very well, but I train the lights out,” she replied. “And you hear it all the time: You gotta build from the bottom up and legs are the most important muscle. But not a lot of people actually really listen to that and follow through with that,” she says. “I have been relentless with leg training, giving it twice as much time throughout my week, twice as much time on the gym floor. So it's definitely been a lot of work. It does help though that I like training legs. I think, you know, I'm one of those weirdos that thinks it's kind of fun and rewarding, but it's definitely been a lot of hard work.”

5. She Trains Others

Sarah also helps others with a personal training and nutrition program. She explains that it is more than just dieting and lifting weights. “We do everything from personal training to diet, nutrition,” she says. This includes DEXA scans, measurements, tracking, and a “whole program” so people can “reach their ultimate body composition”

Angelica Teixeira, a renowned figure in the world of bodybuilding, has captivated fans with her disciplined approach to fitness and her journey to success. Known for her impressive achievements, she regularly shares glimpses of her training regimen on Instagram. Last week, Teixeira gave her followers an inside look at her preparation for the Miss Bikini Olympia competition, posting a video of her posing practice in a sleek TLF Apparel outfit.

1. She Does Bodyweight Exercises

Teixeira shared her approach for working out in an interview with Muscle and Fitness. She says that she loves to do a lot of bodyweight exercises to stay in shape. “I don’t train my abs heavy or use weights. I only do body weight, and it is mostly crunches and leg raises. Or I will switch in other exercises that hit the upper abs and lower abs.”

2. She Does Squats

Teixeira also shared some of her favorite bodyweight exercises in a Muscle and Fitness interview. One thing she enjoys doing is squats. Allina Health states that squats have a lot of benefits. “The squat is one of the all-around best exercises to do for your lower body. It strengthens and tones muscles in your thighs, butt and calves and improves posture, balance, flexibility and inner core strength. Squatting also improves bone mineral density to keep your bones strong.”

3. She Takes Supplements

Teixiera shared some of her wellness tips with BodyBuilding.com. She says that she likes to take supplements, and shared her favorites in the interview. "I use GAT Whey Protein to feed the muscle fibers for growth, and GAT BCAAs to increase gains and recover faster after training," she says. "I take one scoop of the whey after training and another scoop either in the morning or before bed each day. And I take one scoop of BCAAs before training and another after training. I use GAT PMP and Nitraflex to increase my strength and keep me focused in the gym.”

4. She Adjusts Her Fitness Routine

Teixeira tells BodyBuilding.com that her fitness routine is dependent on her diet. “If I have a cheat meal, I will add in an extra cardio session," she admits. "It will usually be fasted cardio first thing in the morning to burn those extra calories, or if I had a huge cheat I may even do my workout fasted. I also make sure I eat clean the next day to detox my body."

5. She Eats A Balanced Diet

Teixiera shared her diet secrets with BodyBuilding.com. She says that she believes in eating a balanced diet and doesn’t like to limit her favorite indulgences. "I don't avoid them, I just don't overdo it. I have a small bit of each food I want, then I use those extra calories as fuel to build a better physique. I lift heavier weights for fewer reps to add muscle size. That way when I start cutting for a show, my muscles are fuller and more rounded."

Sarah Lanzillo, a professional powerlifter and strong woman, has built a reputation not only for her impressive feats in strength but also for her advocacy. In August, she showed support for Presidential candidate Kamala Harris, sharing a post on Instagram where she posed in a “Childless Cat Lady” shirt—a playful nod that many had adopted to voice their endorsements of Harris. Here's how she stays so fit.

1. She Lifts Weights

One of the main ways that Lanzillo stays in shape is weightlifting. ACE Fitness states that doing this has a lot of benefits. “Lifting heavy weights elevates levels of anabolic hormones—specifically testosterone, growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1)—which are used to repair muscle fibers damaged during exercise. This helps the muscle fibers to become thicker and capable of generating higher levels of force.”

2. She Works Hard

Lanzillo makes sure to work hard when she trains. She talked about this in the caption of this Instagram video of herself training. “Deadlifts ✅The Competition weights for the ladder are: 405, 455, 495, 525, and 560. My goal is to get though the 1st 3 🙏🏼🙏🏼 it’s absolutely insane to see some of the women flying through this event 😬😬😬💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 💪🏼”

3. She Does Deadlifts

Sarah Lanzillo.3Sarah Lanzillo/Instagram

In the previous Instagram video, Lanzillo is seen doing deadlifts with a barbell. According to NASM, this exercise is very beneficial. “A Romanian deadlift is a hip-hinge pattern that works the hamstrings and glutes. It is a form of deadlift with noticeably less bend in the knee, leading to greater hamstring engagement than traditional deadlifts. The move was introduced to the masses in the 90s by Romanian weightlifter Nicu Vlad (an Olympic and World Weightlifting champion) and his coach Dragomir Cioroslan. The two invented the move to help Nicu strengthen his back for the clean and jerk. Today, RDLs are commonly used to strengthen the posterior chain, using the core muscles to stabilize and the hamstrings and glutes to drive the movement.”

4. She Took Time Off

Lanzillo took time off from competing, and opened up about this in the caption of this Instagram video. “I’ve taken this whole year off competing to focus on my health. My body was so confused with the constant ups and downs of competing. Gain weight… lose weight… back and forth…I honestly haven’t lifted anything heavier than 225 in MONTHS and my body is thanking me for it. It doesn’t hurt when I get out of bed. My elbows don’t chronically hurt. My hips aren’t in pain every second of the day. My spine isn’t compressed after every workout. I feel good! I’m not saying I won’t EVER get back into competing BUTTTT this time off has done my body good 🥰🥰🥰”

5. She Does Squats

Lanzillo is seen doing squats with a barbell in this Instagram video. The Cleveland Clinic states that squats are very beneficial. “‘Squats are integral to athletic training programs, enhancing speed, agility, strength and power across various sports disciplines,’ says sports and exercise medicine physician Matthew Kampert, DO…’Squats primarily target the muscles in the thighs, hips and buttocks, leading to enhanced stability, balance and overall lower body strength.’”

Betty Pariso, a renowned fitness expert and bodybuilder, has cultivated a dedicated Instagram following by sharing her approach to health, fitness, and life balance. Recently, she posted a fun video of herself fueling up her unique motorcycle and heading off for a scenic ride, showcasing her adventurous spirit. Beyond the gym, Betty emphasizes the importance of quality time, balance, and unwinding on vacations, where she prefers enjoying sunrises over rigorous workouts. Her feed often features dynamic workouts, from weightlifting to swimming, and even special mother-daughter training sessions with her business partner and daughter. Pariso’s balanced philosophy demonstrates that even high-level fitness athletes can prioritize both physical discipline and the joy of life’s everyday moments.

1. She Takes Breaks

Pariso works out on a consistent basis. However, she doesn’t like to work super hard when she’s on vacation. Pariso revealed in this Instagram post that she only does a couple of push-ups on vacation. She captioned the post, “If I waste 1 hour in the gym on vacation, I am missing the moment. I do not live for the gym, the gym allows me to live for the moments. But I could get up and train early...nope, I would rather get up, walk the beach and watch the beautiful sunrise. I never train on a vacation that is 5 days or shorter. I need the break from little injuries that can turn into something bigger and sideline my training. But more importantly, I am here to get away from training, enjoy my surroundings, and enjoy the food. I want my vacations to be completely different from my disciplined, structured life.”

2. She Works Out With Her Daughter

Pariso owns her company with her daughter, and the two like to train together. She shared this video on Instagramof the two of them doing so. Pariso captioned it, “Thank you @lacyecarmichael. We occasionally get to train together, but how many Moms get to own a company with their daughter and design it together from the ground up. She killed it for 5 weeks. This is her work, and I am so proud 👉 @wbbfederation ❤️❤️❤️”

3. She Lifts Weights

Pariso likes to lift weights to stay in shape. She shares a lot of workout videos on Instagram of herself doing so. In this video, Pariso is seen doing shoulder lifts with hand dumbbells and pulling a rope. She captioned the video, “Today was one of those days I did 50 minutes of almost non-stop training using supersets on everything.”

4. She Does Pulldowns

Pariso likes to do lateral pulldowns to stay in shape. She is seen doing them in this Instagram video. Piedmont states that this exercise has a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

5. She Swims

Pariso likes to swim to stay in shape. She shared this video on Instagram of herself floating in a pool. Better Health states that swimming has a lot of benefits. “Swimming is a great workout because you need to move your whole body against the resistance of the water. Swimming is a good all-round activity because it: keeps your heart rate up but takes some of the impact stress off your body, builds endurance, muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness, helps you maintain a healthy weight, healthy heart and lungs, tones muscles and builds strength, provides an all-over body workout, as nearly all of your muscles are used during swimming.”

UCLA Health states, “Mushrooms make an excellent substitute for red meat while minimizing calories, fat and cholesterol. But if you step backwards you will activate more your glutes than your quads. And if you keep your chest up you will feel more in your quads while if you keep your chest forward you will feel more in your glutes. It gives the best protection to my lower back, midsection and keeps my waist small when I’m lifting heavier weights.”

She Does Squats

Stankovic does squats to keep herself in shape, as you can see in her Instagram video. Piedmont says that this exercise has a lot of health benefits. “Whether you’re hoping to tone your muscles, strengthen your core or just improve overall health, squats are one of the best exercises you can do. Although the movements appear relatively simple, squats can take time to master. Joel Hardwick, ACSM EP-C, EIM2, an exercise physiologist at Piedmont Atlanta Fitness Center, says practice will pay off…Hardwick explains that squats are a compound, multi-joint movement, which means they exercise several muscle groups. When you perform a squat, you work your calves, quads, hamstrings, glutes, core and part of your back.”

She Does Lunges

Stankovic is also seen doing lunges in her Instagram video. The Mayo Clinic reports that lunges are very beneficial to do. “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles. Over time, regular cardio exercise allows your muscles to adapt to an increased workload, making regular activities seem easier.”

She Does Pilates

Stankovic shares a lot of her favorite workouts in an Instagram story highlight. In some of the stories, she is seen doing Pilates exercises on a reformer. Pilates is very beneficial. The Cleveland Clinic says, “One of the reasons Pilates is such a good workout is that it specifically focuses on building core strength.”

ACE Fitness says that strength training and using weights has a lot of health benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition.
