Actress Jacqueline Fernandez swears by regular yoga sessions for optimum health and wellness—although sometimes her practice gets gatecrashed by a four-legged friend. Fernandez, 38, shared pictures of herself wearing a blue yoga outfit, posing on a pink mat with her beloved kitty next to her. “Apart from my cat giving me attitude it was a great yoga session! #wellnesswarrior,” she captioned the post. Here’s what Fernandez’s diet, wellness, and fitness regimen looks like.
1. Morning Routine

Fernandez starts her day with a drink made of warm water, lime, and honey. “My mornings are incomplete without fruits, as they give good sugars and carbs to kickstart the day,” she told iDiva. “And I include some form of eggs; boiled or scrambled. My lunch is light and vegan with salads, brown rice and lentils. When I eat healthy and light, I feel happy. For dinner, it's fish and grilled veggies. I like to have some protein at night as the body goes into repair mode.”
2. Health Mantra
Fernandez’ has a straightforward, common-sense approach to health and wellness. “My fitness mantra is quite simple—eat right, sleep right, and exercise regularly,” she told Verve Magazine. “I ensure that I maintain a healthy diet, get adequate sleep and stay positive and relaxed. When it comes to fitness, I prefer to focus on flexibility, stamina and strength. I build my stamina through cardio exercises, pole exercises and stretching exercises for flexibility. I only eat fresh, healthy, and nutrient-rich foods. And when I cannot hit the gym, I dance to stay active.”
3. She Loves Yoga

Fernandez loves the mental and spiritual benefits of yoga. “After years of struggling with exercise ruts, I figured yoga was the ideal fix,” she told iDiva. “I discovered it when I came to India four years ago. Now, I have a personal yoga instructor and I do yoga an hour a day, five days a week. It's something I always look forward to. It relaxes me and doesn't stress my body out. That's my idea of fitness. Doing something that comes to you naturally.”
4. Skincare Musts
Fernandez stays hydrated both for health and beauty, as her skin tends to suffer when she doesn’t drink enough water. “I’ve had a history of bad skin, so I understand that skin needs high maintenance care,” she told ELLE. “I would say drink lots of water – I have an app on my phone that reminds me to stay hydrated all day. Keep a moisturizer, cleanser and sunscreen on you at all times. I also use a Vitamin C eye roll-on – I feel it really helps!”
5. Exercise On the Road
Fernandez keeps up with her workout routine no matter where she is. “Since I’m always traveling for work, I do have a no-gym-workout plan,” she told Verve Magazine. “From my own personal go-to exercise regimes, I’d recommend stretching exercises, and dancing, as those are easy and doable while traveling. Meditation is particularly helpful when it comes to centering one’s mind and body, and allows me to channelize my energy towards my personal and professional growth.”
