1. Cold Plunge

Hannah is a big fan of cold plunging – in actual lakes and oceans. “Cold water mermaid practice…the smile is literally frozen on my face since the icy dip…thank f*ck the first face I made when I got in didn’t stick!!! There is limited research supporting the benefits of cold plunges, which may include easing sore muscles, bringing body temperature down, increased focus, improved sleep, and decreased inflammation, per the Cleveland Clinic. However, a 2021 study found that cold water immersion therapy promotes basic post-sport recovery.

2. Fresh Produce

Hannah’s diet is filled with fresh produce from her farm. “2023 was filled with learning and growth… both personally and literally. It was the first year I grew my own veg and I’m so bloody grateful for the patch and everything it has given me and my loved ones…And continues to give even in the depths of winter!! Can’t recommend veg patch therapy enough!!! My plans for the patch are bigger and better for 2024… and my dreams for my own growth are huge too!” she captioned a post.

3. Hiking

Hannah enjoys hiking and rock climbing. “Been connecting with my kindred spirits today in the soft winter light… at one with the wild mountain goat,” she captioned one of the many posts on her page dedicated to her love of hiking. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems

4. Dancing

Hannah is a dancer. “Dance dance dance, your dance! Capture the rhythm of your body without giving a shit what others think!” she captioned a post. Dancing is a great workout for many reasons. Not only does it build strength and promote flexibility, but helps you lose weight and even promotes cardiovascular function. A 2016 study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine determined that people who engaged in moderate-intensity dancing were 46 percent less likely to develop heart disease or die from it than non-dancers. In comparison, moderate-intensity walkers were just 25 percent less likely to suffer heart health issues.

5. Working on Her Farm
