Bridgerton’s Simone Ashley in Bikini Is “So Gorgeous”

Here is what to know about her diet and fitness habits

Simone Ashley is living her best life this summer in her bikini. In a new social media post, the Bridgerton star gives fans a glimpse at what she has been up to this summer, including lots of time spent in her swimsuit. “So gorgeous,” a follower commented. “Living your best life!!!” another added. How does the star stay fit? Here is what to know about her diet and fitness habits.

1

Hydration

Ashley has shared health tips with her fans. “Stay hydrated! You work long days with all the wigs, costumes, and makeup, so staying hydrated is key. I also like to steam my face at the end of the day—it’s a good way to clear the skin out,” she told Vogue. Why is drinking enough water so important? Water helps get rid of waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature normal, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues, says Mayo Clinic.

2

Nature Hikes

Ashley is “a big nature person,” she told Conde Nast Traveller. “I love hikes,” she said. “For me, a perfect vacation would be exhausting myself playing in the sand, swimming, hiking, exploring, and then treating myself to an absolutely massive meal and some really nice wine with friends and good music. I’m trying to be a bit more cultured and push myself to do more city-searching and going to exhibitions and all of that. But at heart, I’m a big explorer,” she said. “Hiking to waterfalls,” she captioned a post.

3

Pilates

Ashley loves pilates. “I swear by reformer Pilates—I was introduced to it a few years ago,” Ashley told Vogue when asked about her go-to workout method. “For Pilates, I go to the Alo studios when I’m in the States and it’s one of the best workouts I’ve done in my life. Laura Quinn is one of my trainers there, and she’s changed the game for me in terms of how hard I can push my body. It’s a very mindful and thoughtful exercise— sometimes it’s the minimal movements that are the most powerful. For women, it’s great because it connects you to your pelvic floor, plus it gives you a full awareness of your body. Whenever I’ve got lots of press coming up, or a red carpet, if I work out lots I feel less depressed and generally happier. And I feel like the best version of myself.”

4

Running

Ashley is “a massive runner, I run all the time,” she said. The Mayo Clinic explains that running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. “For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories,” they say.

5

Protein

Ashley focuses her diet on protein. “I also try to eat a really healthy diet; I eat a lot of protein. There are lots of ways to get your nutrients in and I would say that diet is a big thing for healthy hair,” Ashley told Vogue. She added to Glamour UK that she loves green juice and other healthy staples, like salmon, fueling up on the omega-3-rich fish before shoots. Her guilty pleasure? “Ice cream is one of my favorite things—I’d have it every day if I could. I love everything from a vanilla soft serve to cherry to Oreo, literally everything. Whatever the flavor, I’m down for ice cream,” she told Vogue. According to clinical trials, consuming more protein than the recommended dietary allowance not only reduces body weight (BW), but also enhances body composition by decreasing fat mass while preserving fat-free mass (FFM) in both low-calorie and standard-calorie diets.
