She Includes A Veggie In All Her Meals
Michelle shared some of her diet secrets in an interview with BET. She says that she makes sure to eat a veggie with each meal. “It’s all about moderation. I always make sure to include a green vegetable in all of my meals. Like, if I have a hot dog, I make sure to have some spinach or green beans. If your physician gives you strict orders not eat any of that stuff, you should stick to it.”
She’s Keeping Her Cholesterol Low
Another thing Michelle is cautious of in her diet is cholesterol. She tells BET that since she has high cholesterol, she has to eat a lot of healthier foods. “If your physician gives you strict orders not eat any of that stuff, you should stick to it. Some of us have high cholesterol. I have that, so I have to balance it out by eating more fish and 7-grain bread, which I hate.”
She Does A Variety Of Workouts
Michelle also shared some of her go-to workouts in her BET interview. She says that she does a lot of different things to keep herself in shape. “I do weights to stay toned. I love going to my neighborhood fitness center and doing aerobics and yoga. I don’t have a trainer right now, although I do want one.”
She’s Consistent With Workouts
Michelle makes sure to stay consistent with working out. She tells NBC Washington that working out has helped with her overall mental health. “People think working out is such a huge task. I’ve learned to cope with [stress] by adding exercise to my daily regimen. I have an accountability partner, so if I don’t work out, I have to pay her $25 for each session that I miss. Because I don’t wanna pay that money, I go and work out!”
She Takes Care Of Her Mental Health
Michelle is open about taking care of her mental health and her struggles. “Your mental health is so important and it’s something that we neglect,” she told NBC Washington. “Mental health is particularly important for me because I’ve experienced depression. I believe you can have a healthy body if you take care of your mind. For me, I’ve been noticing that if I’m not strong mentally, I’m not strong physically. I don’t want to work, I don’t want to get out of bed, I don’t want to do anything!”
