Carole Radziwill In Workout Gear Does Bicep Curls During Heatwave

She’s no shrinking violet.

The Real Housewives of New York star Carole Radziwill is dedicated to her workouts—heatwave or no heatwave. Radziwill, 60, shared a video of herself wearing black pants and a yellow tank top, using dumbbells to do bicep curls. “If you are not training outside, in a heatwave, are you even working out? 💪🏼 @weareaestheticlab @rebeccashine,” she captioned the post. Here’s how Radziwill became a fitness fanatic after a lifetime of “eating junk” and avoiding the gym.

1. Strength Training


Radziwill swears by weight training to stay strong and fit. “Females don't necessarily associate lifting as exercise for women but it's the best kind as you get older,” she captioned an Instagram post. “I'm not excessive about it but I am consistent. As with the marathon, slow & steady wins the race. I train 3, sometimes 4, days a week for 50 mins. Never longer. But always at least 3 days. I focus on lifting weights and not cardio because that works for my body type. I've built muscle, gained pounds and lost inches.”

2. Blonde Hair Care

Radziwill is more careful about her hair after going blonde. “Serge Normant did Meghan Markle’s hair, but before he did Meghan, he did my hair!” she told Into the Gloss. “He’s incredible—he’s just a nice, nice man. I go to Serge Normant at John Freida, and I see him if he’s around or Xavier Velazquez, who’s so charming and so talented. I use their shampoo. My colorist there Gina, who is also amazing and I’ve known for 15 years, gave me this Regenerating Hair Mask from Christophe Robin. Because I lighten my hair so much, it’s been really hard to maintain. Ever since I went lighter, you really have to do masks. Warning out there.”

3. Microneedling Skin Treatments

Radziwill does microneedling treatments once a month. “People started asking, ‘Your skin looks so good, what are you doing?’ I told them about microneedling and of course their response was, ‘You’re sticking thousands of needles in your skin? That seems crazy.’ It reminds me of what people were saying about Botox 30 years ago,” she told Violet Grey. Between [appointments] I wanted the effects to keep going, so I found this microneedling device that I could use at home after I washed my face.”

4. Cool Laser

Radziwill wants younger women to take care of their necks and décolletage. “You don’t realize the harm you’re doing to your skin in your 20s with everything—lying out in the sun, excessive drinking, it all shows up later,” she told Into the Gloss. “Right now I’m getting all of these sun damage spots on my chest lasered with the Cool Laser. A thing that everyone should know—you’ve got to bring whatever you’re using down to your neck and décolletage. Think of your neck and chest as part of your face.”

5. Embracing Beauty

Radziwill is proud to be an all-rounder. “I’m a believer that if you want to take care of yourself and look good, that doesn’t mean that you are not interested in what’s going on in the world,” she told Into the Gloss. “Liking beauty doesn’t mean you’re superficial. You can do both, absolutely. There's sort of this sexist narrative, that's like, ‘Oh, she cares about what she looks like, therefore she doesn’t care about these other issues going on.’ I don’t buy into that.”
