Charlize Theron in Bikini Enjoys “Just Another Tuesday”

Charlize Theron is modeling bikinis for The Perfect magazine. In a new social media post, the star, who turns 50 in August, shows off her ageless body in a skimpy swimsuit. “Just another Tuesday,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does the star approach health and wellness as she approaches her big birthday? Here are her top diet and fitness habits.
A Mathematical Approach
Charlize uses a mathematical approach to exercise. “I’m always calculating my activity,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “If I haven’t been moving a lot, I can’t eat a lot. Or maybe it’s a cheat day. But I’m honest with myself.”
Eating and Drinking Her Greens
Theron is all about eating and drinking green. “I have juices and kale and green salads every day. When I’m eating healthily, getting enough sleep and not drinking alcohol, that’s when I look my best. That’s when I’m happiest, and I think it shows,” she told Red Magazine.
Potato Chips Are Her Weakness
When Charlize needed to gain nearly 50 pounds for a role, she turned to one cheat food in particular. “I ate a lot of everything, but my drug of choice is potato chips,” she said. “Everywhere. I had a bag in the car, a bag in the bathroom, a bag in the kitchen, a bag on the couch, a bag in my trailer. Everywhere I went, there was just a bag.”
Yoga
Theron is a bg fan of power yoga. There is a laundry list of reasons to do yoga, explains Harvard Health. “Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years gained less weight during middle adulthood,” they said. “People who were overweight lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) than those who did not. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating.”
Pilates
Theron is a big fan of Pilates. “It’s totally changed my body,” she says. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, there are lots of benefits to the workout, as it “strengthens the body’s inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health. It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.”
Tennis
“I love anything outdoorsy,” Charlize told Red, adding that she recently picked up tennis. “My mum recently got me to play tennis, which I wasn’t good at but really enjoyed,” she said. “If you do exercise you enjoy, you’re keeping yourself fit without even realizing it.”
