"Lately," she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does the 48-year-old keep herself looking forever young and fit? Celebwell rounded up some of her top lifestyle tips.

Look at Your Equation of Input and Output

Charlize explained to Harper's Bazaar that she uses a mathematical approach to exercise. "I'm always calculating my activity," she said. "If I haven't been moving a lot, I can't eat a lot. Or maybe it's a cheat day. But I'm honest with myself."

2

Eat and Drink Your Greens

Theron stressed the importance of eating your greens to Red Magazine. "I have juices and kale and green salads every day. When I'm eating healthily, getting enough sleep and not drinking alcohol, that's when I look my best. That's when I'm happiest, and I think it shows."

3

Have One Cheat Food

When Charlize needed to gain nearly 50 pounds for a role, she turned to one cheat food in particular. "I ate a lot of everything, but my drug of choice is potato chips," she said. "Everywhere. I had a bag in the car, a bag in the bathroom, a bag in the kitchen, a bag on the couch, a bag in my trailer. Everywhere I went, there was just a bag."

Do Yoga

Theron does power yoga. There is a laundry list of reasons to do yoga, explains Harvard Health. "Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood," they said. "People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating."

5

Do Pilates

Theron tells Harper's Bazaar that she's a big fan of Pilates. "It's totally changed my body," she says. Why is pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic there are lots of benefits to the workout, as it "strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health. It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

6

Play Tennis

"I love anything outdoorsy," Charlize told Red, adding that she loves to make a racquet. "My mum recently got me to play tennis, which I wasn't good at but really enjoyed," she said. "If you do exercise you enjoy, you're keeping yourself fit without even realizing it."
