Bennet talked about the importance of the #MeToo movement and sticking up for women in an interview with POPSugar. “It's a campaign because it's important, and it needs to happen. And it's real. I think those are the types of things that are really implementing change. And I can say without a doubt that things on set — the daily life is completely different because of movements like #MeToo. I feel more heard. I feel like I'm being taken seriously. I feel like I can say something, and it won't be judged because of my race or my sex or my age but because I have the insight and the knowledge to say something about it because of who I am. So I do think that there is change happening.”

Bennet shared some of her skincare secrets with POPSugar. She revealed that she learned one thing during her music career. “There are so many that I learned from that time. It was like a pop-star boot camp. I learned a lot of actually old-school Chinese tricks for skin, like an egg white face mask, something we definitely rocked after like a show or touring. It's straight egg white, which is a lot, but that's something we did in terms of like just pure beauty.”
She Doesn’t Care What She Looks Like
Bennet talked about not caring what she looks like in her POPSugar interview. “My makeup just falls off all day. I want it to be real on set, so if I look like sh*t after the fight sequence, I'll try to commit to that. I try to keep it real. Women can be messed up! Like, if I have lots of blood, I try to keep it real. You're not going to be in that perfect hair and that perfect makeup and all that stuff. And I pride myself on my character being an honest superhero where it's not all perfect. The more messed up my hair and makeup can be, the better, actually.”
She Processing Things
Bennet revealed to Cosmopolitan that she is using her time on Interior Chinatown to help her process things. “It's been really cathartic for me. I didn’t know it was going to be so cathartic. I knew how much I hadn’t really processed, but getting to work on the show and express ourselves [and work through] these things that have happened and are fucked up, it’s been really therapeutic to explore all of these themes as an actor.”
She Proud Of Her Identity
Bennet changed her surname from Wang to Bennet early in her career. She talked about embracing her identity in an interview with Cosmopolitan. “I’m not trying to hide. I’ve never tried to hide being Asian, I’ve never shied away from these conversations publicly. I’ve only existed authentically in regards to my race. I think that’s all you can really do, so with that, I’m at peace.”
