Christmas Abbott is one of the most famous fitness stars. She’s best known for her work with CrossFit. Abbott is also a published author, a two-time Big Brother contestant, and a former NASCAR pit crew member. Earlier this month, Abbott talked about the importance of self-love on Instagram. She captioned a post, “Rediscovering My Inner Light: A Journey of Self-Love ✨🙋‍♀️ Anyone else on an incredible journey at this point in their life?!? There's an extraordinary feeling that comes when you rediscover your own light within. It's a love that radiates from the depths of your soul and illuminates every aspect of your being.💖 As I embark on this journey of self-discovery, I've come to realize the immense power of self-love. It's about embracing every part of who I am, flaws and all, and recognizing my own worthiness.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Christmas Abbott stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She’s Prioritizing Herself

Christmas Abbott.1Christmas Abbott/Instagram

In her Instagram post’s caption, Abbott revealed that she is prioritizing herself “Let me be REAL 🧨 for a moment! I have had some incredibly hard storms I’ve had to weather. My life has been upside down and inside out but the brightest light ✨ comes after the darkest night 🌙I’m working on prioritizing self-care, practice self-compassion, and nurture my inner world. I am finding that my light shines brighter than ever before. It's a love that knows no bounds and is rooted in acceptance and authenticity.”

2. She Lifts Weights

Abbott shares a lot of her favorite workouts on Instagram. She likes to lift weights to stay fit. Abbott shared this video of herself lifting a barbell. She captioned the post, “Tell me what you did you do for your sweat session today? I had a fun few reps and rounds of: Thrusters. Pull ups. Lunges. Pull ups. Tag your workout bestie!”

3. She Jumps Rope

Christmas Abbott.3Christmas Abbott/Instagram

Abbott also likes to jump rope to stay in shape. She shared this video of herself jumping rope on Instagram. Abbott captioned the post, “What is the MOST IMPACTFUL action item you can do to get you closer to your GOALS? Mine is movement. It helps me in EVERYTHING; clear mind, strong body, better sleep, more focus and COUNTLESS MORE things. Simply, a better life.”

4. She Climbs Rope

Christmas Abbott.4Christmas Abbott/Instagram

Another workout Abbott enjoys doing is rope climbing. She shared this video on Instagram of herself doing so. Abbott captioned the post, “Life will ALWAYS kick you in the ass but it’s your responsibility to get back up and keep on climbing to the top of your DREAMS 💫What are YOU working so hard towards?!? Let me know.”

5. She Makes Her Own Luck

Christmas Abbott.5Christmas Abbott/Instagram

Abbott revealed in this Instagram post’s caption, that she’s making her own luck. “Luck has nothing to do with living the dream. A clear vision, hard work and staying the course creates all the ‘luck’ you will ever need. Write that dream down and give it a transition from dream to plan. Post it on your mirror to remind yourself everyday what you’re working towards. Make every decision possible to keep yourself on track for that goal. If you’re not moving towards it, you’re moving away from it.”

Shaughna Phillips In Workout Gear Jokes About Being “Fitfluencer”

Love Island star Shaughna Phillips is slowly but surely getting back into her fitness routine after welcoming baby Lucia in April 2023—and being honest about postpartum recovery. Phillips, 29, shared a video of herself wearing leggings and a white shirt, mixing up a protein shake in her kitchen after a workout of skipping and star jumps. “Changing my bio to ‘fitfluencer’, having 7 protein shakes a day and getting GYM BRO tatted on my bicep,” she jokingly captioned the post. Here’s how the reality star stays fit and full of energy.

1. Love Island Training

Shaughna.Phillips:InstagramShaughna Phillips/Instagram

Phillips went on a very strict health and fitness regimen before going on Love Island, working out for 90 minutes a day. “I would do 20 to 25 minutes on the treadmill very fast at a high incline,” she told Women’s Health. “I would do a few sets on the lat pulldown machine... and then I used to do a quick circuit on the mats. I used to use like free weights and stuff and that would literally be it every single day.”

2. Holistic Health

Phillips works out to protect her mental health as well as her physical health and appearance. “As I've gotten older, I've realized that separating being healthy from your body image, and how you ‘think you should look’, is the true gamechanger,” she told Bustle. “I feel like a lot of us just subconsciously go to the gym because we think we need to look a certain way. But there are so many other benefits; looks should be the lowest thing on your list of reasons to go to the gym… Don't get me wrong, the health benefits and all of that are absolutely amazing. But for me personally, it is all about the effect physical activity has on mental health.”

3. Morning Workouts

Phillips works out first thing in the morning before the work day starts. “I can tell you what I hate doing and that’s squats,” she told Bustle. “But I really like the feeling of lifting weights and boxing. It almost doesn't feel like you're working out because you're learning something new. I read somewhere that music also gives you the same sort of endorphins as exercise does. I can't think of anything worse than working out and having rubbish music. Or worse: no music at all. I need to listen to angry music, like DMX. Or if I'm going on holiday, then I’ll listen to happy vibe music.”

4. Plans For the Future

Phillips wants to move in a different direction in the future. “I definitely want to maybe get into some kind of politics after the show,” she told Glamour. “I just like helping people and I want to do as much as I can to help people. For me, it’s not really about how much a job pays you, because it’s about helping people. I know that’s cliché and embarrassing, but the job I was in before in the fire safety team, the job previous to that was more money, so... I got a better feeling out of the fire safety team. For me, it’s all about helping people."

5. Embracing Her Physique

Phillips wishes she hadn’t been so hard on herself in the past. “I was aware that I was definitely the biggest girl in there [the villa] but watching old episodes back now, I'm like ‘you looked fab!’” she told Women’s Health. “But that is just proof that you're never happy with what you've got, so you might as well just be happy with what you've got. I was self-conscious but I had no reason to be.”

Chrissy Teigen is opening up about her fear and mental health struggles. In a new social media post, the model shows off her flat abs in exercise clothes while doing a log crossing. In the post she reveals that she did the same thing “a few years ago” when she was “struggling mentally” and it was “incredibly hard then.” Now, even thought she is in a better place, she thought she “could make the pain go away by relaxing my body, breathing and just taking in and enjoying what I was doing. But plot twist!! It was just as hard,” she writes. “I thought that since I have seen times that were so dark since the last time I did this, that I would be fearless on this god damn thing. But I’m still so scared. Then I realized I now live my whole life so scared. I don’t enjoy much outside my family, my few friends, television and crafts. I feel like a very shrunken version of myself. And I know I am meant to be big. I’m really scared of letting you guys down and I find myself fighting with myself all day in my brain with things I want to say, things I want to explain, but I’m just so fearful. I miss so many parts of myself and I hope one day I can shed some fear and accept that I will never be perfect for you guys and that is okay!! But for now I will continue to work on it all and try to balance my brain with rational thoughts, and try to be kind to myself and my body and mind.” How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1. Exercise Class

Group,Of,Sportive,People,In,A,Gym,Training,-,MultiracialShutterstock

Chrissy recently returned to group fitness. “So proud of the us!!” she wrote on one of her Instagram Stories. “I haven’t done a workout class in years because I am embarrassed 😬,” she admitted. “And I really haven’t worked out for 😬😬😬:” she added, using the “grimacing” emoji.

2. No Dieting

Chrissy tries not to diet. "I've lived a whole life. I've spent way too many years counting calories, scheduling way too many workouts and trying to figure out what my term for wellness was for myself. I've been trying to figure that out for so so long," she told People. In another interview she told the publication that she eats healthy most of the time, though doesn't always share photos of herself “at the gym or making green juice,” she said. “So I think people think that I don’t do that. But if I post me eating Taco Bell, I probably had a fantastic breakfast and lunch, or I’ve been good that entire week!”

3. Pilates

Chrissy loves Speir Pilates. “There’s no better motivation than sweating it out with your friends! 🔥,” the studio captioned a photo of a group workout session with Chrissy. Why is pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic there are lots of benefits to the workout, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

4. No Scales

Chrissy isn’t a fan of the scale. "Since I was 20 years old, I had this weight in my mind that I am, or that I'm supposed to be. I've been so used to that number for 10 years now. And then I started realizing it was a swimsuit-model weight. There's a very big difference between wanting to be that kind of fit and wanting to be happy-fit,” she told Women's Health.

5. Green Juice

Chrissy gets a lot of nutrients from juice. "I love green juices—the ones that include lots of actual greens and don't include too much apple," she told Shape. "Because those are just meant to be yummy and we all know things that are too yummy aren't the best for us unfortunately."

Actress Tracee Ellis Ross is showing followers exactly how she gets her incredibly toned and strong physique. The Blackish star shared a video of herself doing a leg and glutes workout, wearing purple leggings and a lilac crop top over a sports bra. “One more before 2024,” she captioned the post. Ross is 51 and seems to be aging in reverse—here’s what her diet, exercise, and wellness regimen looks like.

1. Lemon Water

Powdered,Vitamin,C,On,Wooden,Spoon,With,Glass,Of,WaterShutterstock

Ross starts her day with supplements and lemon water. “This is going to sound strange but I use my tongue scraper before I drink any water or eat,” she told Vogue. “Then I like to have a glass of lemon water and take my supplements. I will also usually go and work out, and beforehand will try and eat something – you’re supposed to eat a little sugar, like apple sauce or something, and then take a protein shake after. I’m not a coffee drinker, so I don’t have a major morning routine, nor do I have kids or a dog right now – so it’s all about me.”

2. Tracy Anderson Method

Ross is a long-time devotee of the Tracy Anderson Method. “I am still a Tracy Anderson fiend – what I love about Tracy Anderson is the studio and the absolutely insane heat,” she told Vogue. “It’s like 97 degrees, so it’s like a sweat box. The music is so loud, and it’s the best environment because you can’t think. You’re just in your body and it’s really hard but what I love about it is you feel so beautiful, sexy, long and strong – and that’s all the things I want to feel. You feel connected to your body – you can’t do Tracy Anderson if you don’t have the mind-body connection. During the pandemic, I also started going regularly to Rise Movement, which is a private gym – we do weight training. They use a lot of movement that reminds me of what you used to do when you were a kid; it’s using your own body. We push a sled, throw a ball, and things like that, rather than using gym equipment. It’s functional movement. I love that.”

3. Self-Love and Appreciation

Ross has come to better appreciate her body and her looks with each year. “Growing up? I was pretty contentious. Because of that, I have worked very hard to hold a different kind of space in my relationship with my body,” she told Glamour UK. “I was an athlete growing up. I am very conscious aesthetically. I modeled all through high school and so I constantly was trying to look skinny and I look back and I'm probably too skinny. And I’m like, ‘what were you thinking? What is happening?’ And I know what it took. I did not eat a lot and I love food. I don't suggest that at all. I'm now very supportive of my body. I really do my best to not let that self-talk that happens in this dangerous neighborhood of our minds full of compare and despair take over.”

4. Cooking With Love

Tracy.Ross.EllisTracy Ellis Ross/Instagram

Cooking is Ross’s love language. “I love cooking for my family — my siblings, my mom,” she told PEOPLE. “I love cooking for myself, too. One of the ways that I actively love myself is by cooking. I love grilling salmon, steak, all those things. I’m a big salad maker. I love crushing Brazilian nuts and putting them over everything — quinoa dishes. Putting it over a salad instead of putting meat on it.”

5. Morning Baths and Meditation

Ross loves to start her day with a gentle bath. “I meditate. I haven’t been as diligent recently because the pandemic messed with my routine, but I am very much one of those people,” she told Vogue. “I also do gyrotonics and gyrokinesis – it’s sort of a connection to the body. I really believe that staying connected to my body is where I gain a sense of wholeness for myself. My biggest [self-care ritual] is a bath – I love them. I will take a bath at 5.30 in the morning, before work. I put magnesium flakes in because I work out so much. A really hot bath is a great gentle start to the day, and I also do this thing where I stand up in the bath and do a full cold rinse with the shower. It’s really good for you.”

Three times a week, but I'm gonna have to go in [this time] because I haven't trained for six months. It's ridiculous. I'm off the bandwagon." Jade added she also does exercises in her hotel room. 5. Love Yourself

Jade revealed to the BBC that she struggled with an eating disorder when she was younger. "It got to the point when I knew I needed someone else to tell, harboring a horrible secret like that is obviously really damaging to your mental health and obviously my physical health,” she said. She eventually told someone she thought she had a problem. "It was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. The minute I started to actually talk to people about it, was the minute I started to get better,” she continued. "I don't think I would ever do that to myself again." When talking to two teenagers in recovery from anorexia, she revealed the secret to recovery: "I just learned to love myself again."

The actor, producer, and fitness enthusiast has built a reputation for his intense workouts and disciplined diet. In a recent TikTok, he gave fans a sneak peek at what’s fueling his muscle gains, from protein-packed meals to superfoods that keep him energized. He Eats Eggs

In his TikTok, Wahlberg is seen enjoying eggs with sausage. According to University Hospitals, eggs have a lot of health benefits. “At 70 calories each, eggs are a stellar protein source and a nutritional powerhouse. When eaten as part of a balanced diet, eggs provide multiple health benefits and are unlikely to pose a risk for heart disease.”

He Eats Salmon

Wahlberg is also seen enjoying salmon. The Mayo Clinic states that salmon has a lot of benefits. “Seafood in general, and salmon in particular, is a good choice for protein in the diet. If you can use salmon in place of a higher fat meat, that's even better. Salmon is probably best known for its omega-3 fatty acids. Called EPA and DHA, these fats may support heart health, brain function and healthy joints.”

He Likes Lemon Juice

Wahlberg is seen enjoying lemon juice in his TikTok. St. Vincent’s Medical Center states that lemon is very beneficial. “Weight-loss studies have also noted the effects of lemon. Drinking lemon water, which keeps you hydrated, increases your metabolism. One glass burns at least six calories. It can also help you feel full, making it easier to resist an urge to snack.”

He Likes Olive Oil

Another thing that Wahlberg is seen eating in his TikTok is olive oil. According to The Cleveland Clinic, olive oil has a lot of health benefits. “EVOO contains more than 20 types of polyphenols, a category of plant-based chemical compounds that help protect your heart and reduce inflammation throughout your body. Polyphenols are a type of antioxidant.”

He Gets Enough Protein

Protein is a big part of Wahlberg’s diet. He is not only seen eating high-protein foods like eggs and salmon in his TikTok, but he is also seen eating protein bars and powders. Piedmont states that protein is extremely important. “Protein is an important building block of bones, muscles, cartilage and skin. In fact, your hair and nails are composed mostly of protein. Your body uses it to build and repair tissue.”

He Eats Blueberries

Wahlberg is also seen enjoying blueberries in his TikTok. The Cleveland Clinic states that blueberries have a lot of benefits. “Because blueberries are high in fiber and lower in sugar when compared to other fruits, they don’t cause your blood sugar to spike. For people with certain health conditions, scientists suspect this positive effect could aid with blood sugar management.”

Rita Ora isn’t just a chart-topping singer and TV star—she’s also serious about staying fit. Whether she’s lighting up the stage with hits like Black Widow or guessing contestants on The Masked Singer, Ora makes sure to carve out time for the gym. In a recent Instagram post captioned "Come to the gym with me," she gave fans an inside look at her workout routine, and it’s packed with powerhouse moves. From treadmill runs to Pilates, here’s exactly how she keeps her body in top shape.

She Strength Trains

Ora is seen using dumbbells and a weighted shoulder press machine in her Instagram video. Both of these are considered strength training exercises. The Mayo Clinic says that strength training has a lot of benefits. “Strength training may enhance your quality of life and improve your ability to do everyday activities. Strength training can also protect your joints from injury. Building muscle also can contribute to better balance and may reduce your risk of falls. This can help you maintain independence as you age.”

She Runs On The Treadmill

Rita snaps a selfie on the treadmill

The first thing Ora does at the gym is run on the treadmill. Healthy Talbot states that this has a lot of benefits. “Jogging or running on a treadmill helps to lose weight as well as burn fat quickly and effectively. Yet it’s easier on your knees and joints than outdoor running. This is the most popular advantage of working out on a treadmill workouts. Besides, these workouts burn calories at a faster rate than other aerobic exercises. To burn calories even faster, you just need to run longer and faster on the machine.”

She Does Tricep Exercises

Ora is seen doing tricep curls in her Instagram video. Gymless says that all tricep workouts have a lot of benefits. “Our triceps muscles enable us to extend the elbows, and it is a powerful extender of the forearm. Triceps are often used for pushing, which is utilized in our everyday activities such as opening a door, inserting a plug into a socket, or moving furniture across the room.“

She Does Leg Presses

Ora is also seen using the leg press machine in her Instagram video. The Mayo Clinic says that this exercise is very beneficial. “The leg press is an exercise you can do with a weight machine to work a variety of muscles in the lower body. Specifically, the leg press targets the quadriceps muscles in the front of the thighs, the gluteal muscles in the buttocks, the hamstring muscles in the back of the thighs, and the calves, all in an integrated fashion. Since the leg press works several muscles at once, it's an especially efficient way to strengthen your lower body.”

She Does Pilates

Rita Ora on a Pilates reformer

Rita Ora/Instagram

The last workout that Ora is seen doing in her Instagram video is a session on the Pilates reformer. Pilates has a lot of health benefits. The Cleveland Clinic says, “Pilates is a form of strength training, but it doesn’t look like some of the other strength training exercises you might be familiar with. Pilates focuses more on improving muscle tone than building muscles, but the result is similar: greater stability and endurance. Pilates isn’t going to bulk you up — if anything, it’s designed to cultivate a longer, leaner look. Still, it can lay a strong physical foundation for muscle-building activities — and may even reduce your likelihood of injury.”

For Hewitt, fitness is all about variety. “I try to switch it up a bit,” she told OK! Magazine. “I’ve found that if every week I do something different it tricks my muscles into not getting used to doing any one thing. I’ve been doing pilates, I’ve been doing yoga, I’ve done just plain old walking. I wear 10 pound weights on my ankles while I’m working just so that as I’m moving during the day I’m constantly building muscle. It’s not great for your back but I’m doing it anyway. I do a booty workout thing that I just did for Shape, which was really fun. And I do Zumba. I have DVDs and I dance around like a crazy person in my house.”
