Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana works hard both on season and off—and her training sessions are intense. Mandhana, 27, shared a video of herself wearing black workout pants, shorts, and a black t-shirt, doing a strength training workout at the gym. “Superb,” an admiring fan commented. Mandhana’s workout and diet regimen is as strict as you would expect from a professional athlete—here’s how she stays fit, focused, and on top of her game.

1. Running Every Day

Healthy,Lifestyle,Young,Fitness,Woman,Running,At,SeasideShutterstock

Mandhana goes for a run every day as part of her cricket training. “During off season, we train really hard,” Mandhana told Femina. “We amp up our workouts and try to take our gym and fitness routines to another level. We follow a rather stringent diet set by the team’s nutritionist. Since I don’t eat meat, I have to really take care of my protein intake. So, I include a lot of protein shakes, eggs and soybean in my meals.”

2. Good Nutrition

Mandhana focuses on good nutrition as crucial to her athletic performance. “Earlier, cricket was termed as a skill-sport a lot but now with the increased number of games and the hectic schedule we have, nutrition has become a vital aspect for fitness,” she told Sportstar. “It’ll be one of the most important aspects going forward. Even for me, post my ACL (injury rehab in 2017), I am more aware about my nutrition - how much protein intake I should have and hydration levels, understanding my body better and plan accordingly, besides gym and physical conditioning. If we have to compete at the highest level, be the top team in the world, we have to look after ourselves and nutrition is one of the most important parts of it.”

3. Cricket Dreams

Mandhana knew she wanted to play professional cricket from early childhood. “When I was nine, I would face older boys aged 13 very well,” she told Red Bull. “As I continued playing, I learnt to time the ball well during net sessions; that’s when my father decided to take me for selection trials. Once I started representing Maharashtra and heard about the likes of Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami, I started feeling that I too could play alongside these greats and represent India.”

4. Sunscreen and Lip Balm

Mandhana keeps her skincare routine simple, with a focus on sun protection. “My beauty rules are pretty basic, as I hardly use any makeup,” she told Femina. “I use a great body lotion and a lip balm while stepping out. My go-to skincare product is the Vaseline Sun and Pollution Protection lotion, which comes with SPF 24 PA++ and a unique Pollution Protection Formula (PPF). It’s the one product I carry with me always because it protects me from the harsh sun and pollution. I neither have the time nor the inclination to use multiple products. Vaseline Sun and Pollution Protection lotion with its dual benefits addresses my major skincare concerns, and gives me the confidence to go out and focus.”

5. Cricket Taught Her Everything

Mandhana is thrilled to represent her country on the international stage. “It has been amazing,” she told Red Bull. “Cricket has taught me everything; including how to handle success and failure. Whatever I am today is because of cricket. I feel no pressure. I only feel pride to wear the blue jersey and represent the country. Very few people get opportunities like this, so it is a great feeling.”

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is a successful actress. She recently hit the gym for a workout. She shared a video of her session on Instagram. In it, Prabhu is seen in a green t-shirt and gray pants. She captioned the post, “One day at a time.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Samantha Ruth Prabhu stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Bikes

Prabhu shares a lot of her favorite workouts on Instagram. One thing she likes to do is bike ride. She will even do it when it is cloudy out. She shared this video on Instagram of herself and some others going for a ride. Prabhu captioned the post, “Riding in the rain with the best company.”

2. She Weight Trains

Samantha.Ruth.Prabhu.3Samantha Ruth Prabhu/Instagram

Prabhu likes to weight train. She shared some of her favorite workouts in this video she posted on her Instagram. In it, she is seen doing squats with a barbell, hip thrusts with a barbell, deadlifts with hand weights, and Bulgarian split squats with hand weights. Prabhu captioned the post, “Switch it up. My Thursday routine with @brahmin_bull.”

3. She Does Aerial Yoga

Samantha.Ruth.Prabhu.2Samantha Ruth Prabhu/Instagram

One thing Prabhu does to stay in shape is aerial yoga. She shares a lot of photos of herself doing it on Instagram. In this photo, Prabhu is seen upside down in the silks. She captioned the post, “Life is a balance of holding on and letting go.” Aerial yoga, like all forms of yoga, has a lot of benefits. Ace Fitness reports that a study shows that aerial yoga can help with heart health. “The study revealed that a single 50-minute session of Aerial Yoga burned an average of 320 calories and yielded cardiovascular effects in the range of low- to moderate-intensity exercise. Both of these findings suggest Aerial Yoga is an effective form of exercise for promoting good health. After the six-week long Aerial Yoga program, participants experienced significant improvements in several health risk factors such as body weight, body-fat percentage and blood pressure. The combined improvements in these risk factors suggest that participants reduced their risk for a cardiovascular heart disease event, such as a heart attack, by approximately 10 percent over the course of the six-week intervention.”

4. She Works Out Without Equipment

Samantha.Ruth.Prabhu.1Samantha Ruth Prabhu/Instagram

Prabhu likes to hit the gym or go outside to workout. But that’s not the only way she does so. Prabhu also does equipment free exercises. In this video she posted on Instagram, she’s seen doing an equipment free fitness challenge. She captioned the post, “Kickstart your 2022 with this no equipment 'level- up’ challenge and feel the BURN 🤓🔥When my trainer @junaid.shaikh88 challenges me.. I challenge you 😜 .. let’s do it #levelupchallenge.”

5. She Works With A Trainer

Samantha.Ruth.PrabhuSamantha Ruth Prabhu/Instagram

As she wrote in the previous post’s caption, Prabhu works with a trainer to help herself stay in shape. Ace Fitness states that having a trainer has a lot of benefits. “Fitness can be confusing. There is a lot of information to sort through. Eat this, not that. Cardio before or after strength training? Your trainer can help you find credible information and provide direction on your fitness journey. A trainer can help remove the guesswork so you can put all your energy toward accomplishing your goals.”

Indian badminton champion Saina Nehwal is reminding fans and followers how important a regular workout routine is—even if you’re not an Olympian. Nehwal, 34, shared a video of herself wearing black shorts and a blue shirt, doing an intense mat workout in her home. “Workout is good 🔥🔥make sure all of you do some amount of workout to stay healthy and fit … ☀️❤️ #morning #workout #fitness #yonexbadminton,” she captioned the post. Here’s how the athlete stays so strong and fit.

1. Women In Badminton

Nehwal is proud to represent her country as a female athlete. “The outlook towards sports has changed since our success at the Olympic stage,” she told HuffPost. “Families encourage their daughters and children to take up sports. And I hope there will be many more Saina Nehwals and Sania Mirzas.”

2. Training Routine

Nehwal works out under the eye of her coach. “I work out six days a week, following a schedule prepared by my coach to suit my body’s requirements,” she told Hindustan Times. “A typical workout includes running, weightlifting, cardio and training of the muscles in the arms and legs in the morning. I also have court practice, in the evenings. I actually prefer working out in the evenings.”

3. No Sugar or Oily Food

Harm,From,Sugar,Concept.,Food,And,Diet,Concept.,No,Sugar.Shutterstock

Nehwal makes sure to get at least six hours of sleep a night. “Food and sleep are as vital as exercise,” she told Hindustan Times. “Controlling the quality of your food becomes especially important as you exit your 20s. I generally have cereals, pulses, some non-veg, curd, seasonal fruits and salads every day. I observe a complete ban on unhealthy oils, and avoid sugar, sweets, fatty and fried foods as much as I can.”

4. Professional Attitude

Nehwal has deep respect for her fellow competitors. “I am friendly with all the players of badminton but on court our attitude change as we prefer not to lose because of these relations,” she told HuffPost. “The one moment that stands out, and I rate it bigger than World No 1 rank, is the medal I won at the London Olympics, 2012 and the Indian national anthem being played in the background. I can’t express the feeling I was going through at that point of time.”

5. Badminton Workout

Nehwal streamlined her training regimen to be as beneficial to her sport as possible. “For me fitness is about having free movements during matches, and accruing no ailments,” she told Hindustan Times. “In my teens and even up to last year, I never worried about how much I exercised. I enjoyed it all – outdoor exercises, indoor workouts, weightlifting etc. But now I am more focused on what’s essential for my sport. I have reduced my running, for instance.”

Sara Tendulkar is at the gym – in her workout gear. In a new social media post the Indian actress shows off her amazing figure in a two-piece exercise set post sweat session. “Caught me in my natural habitat🤸🏻♀️🏋🏻♀️✨,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Theres a special glow in your beauty,” commented one of her followers. “Cutest,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Sara rises and exercises. “I usually start my day pretty early. I like to begin with a workout,” she told Vogue. Her workout of choice? “I do weight training.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Pilates

She also enjoys Pilates “on alternate days,” she says. Why is pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic there are lots of benefits to the workout, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Running

Sara is a fan of cardio at night. “In the evening, when I feel tired or wound up, I run on the treadmill for about 30–45 minutes,” she says. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. “For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories,” they say.

Diet for PCOS

Sara battles PCOS so has to eat accordingly. “I’m careful about what I put into my body. I try to avoid dairy because I have noticed that if I have a little too much dairy or sugar, my skin acts up. I had PCOS, and growing up, I had a lot of acne and tried so many things, from acids to retinol to lasers. But what helped me was tackling the root of the problem. I had to change my lifestyle—do a lot of weight training and eat a protein-rich diet. That has really helped me deal with my breakouts and prevent new ones,” she says.

Hydration

Another tactic for her PCOS and overall health? “And of course, staying hydrated,” she said. According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is important for a variety of reasons. Water helps get rid of waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature normal, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.

Indian tennis star Sania Mirza knows how hard it is to get back to feeling normal after having a baby, but with hard work and discipline she managed to feel like herself again. Mirza, 37, shared a picture of herself wearing black leggings and a brown t-shirt, posing at the gym in front of exercise machines. “February so far 💆🏽‍♀️✈️💫📆🔐🏃🏽‍♀️🧳🍔🌰🏋🏽‍♀️☕️ and some more ✈️,” she captioned the post. Here’s how Mirza lost 57 pounds to be in the best shape of her life.

1. Strength Training

Mirza exercises with a trainer to get the most out of her workouts and training. “There are some basic routines we do every day like the warm-up routine, which involves a lot of core exercises, around 20 to 25 minutes of running and strength and speed training,” she told the Bangalore Mirror. “There are some days in the week, depending on the schedule, where we also do explosive, balance, endurance training and sometimes we also do Plyometrics.”

2. Postpartum Fitness

Mirza worked hard to get back into shape after having a baby in 2018. “After you give birth, you have to start from scratch,” she told the Times of India. “Being an athlete, I am used to being fit and strong, and I had taken my fitness for granted. I got a reality check when I got onto the treadmill and found out that I could not walk for more than three minutes. The first two months were extremely tough because I was not allowed to do core exercises and could only do cardio. I did that for two-and-a-half hours every day and followed a strict diet.”

3. Gluten-Free Diet

Gluten,Free,Flour,With,Text,Gluten,Free,In,English,LanguageShutterstock

Mirza has a “cheat” day once every ten days. “I have been gluten-free for the last few years and it has been working for me,” she told the Bangalore Mirror. “But I believe in moderation and I do have cheat days. I also go on a complete processed sugar-free diet. As tennis players, we are on a high carbohydrate and protein diet, so I eat gluten-free pasta and rice and chicken. I avoid flour and wheat completely.”

4. Carbs and Weight Training

Mirza overhauled her diet and fitness routine during her postpartum health journey. “After I had lost 15-17 kilos, I moved on to weights and my core recovered,” she told the Times of India. “I did not cheat on my diet for four months. I stopped consuming dairy products, gluten, processed sugar and red meat. I would eat spinach, fish, eggs, chicken and continued to consume carbs. Whoever said that carbs are your enemy, is not right; they can be your friends, too.”

5. It Takes a Village

Mirza is grateful for all the help she received with her son when getting back to training. “Since I am an athlete, I feel sleep is important, but if he is awake, then I am awake, too,” she told the Times of India. “Without my husband, parents, sister and my entire team’s support, I would not have been able to go back to my training and do what I love. As they say, it takes a village to raise a child.”

Alice De Bortoli doesn’t just light up Instagram with her stunning fashion and effortless style—she also shares the secrets behind her enviable beach-ready physique. The Italian influencer keeps her followers in the loop when it comes to fitness, beauty, and wellness, proving that looking and feeling great is all about consistency. From skincare rituals to core-sculpting workouts, De Bortoli’s daily habits make it clear that staying in shape is about more than just hitting the gym. Whether she’s cooking up homemade meals, breaking a sweat, or showing off a fresh new look, she’s all about feeling her best from the inside out. Here are five of her go-to habits for maintaining a strong, confident, and glowing presence all year long.

She Takes Care Of Her Skin

De Bortoli has impressive skin. Naturally, she takes care of it on a regular basis. De Bortoli shared this video on Instagram sharing her skincare routine. She captioned it, “The secret to perfect skin? Here is my step by step routine! ✨💦🎀 What product can you absolutely not live without?”

She Changed Her Hair Color

Alice De Bortoli dyed her hair

De Bortoli recently changed her hair color. She explained why in the caption of this Instagram post. “The good thing about this color is that it does not require frequent touch-ups and it easily adapts to natural hair growth, it is versatile and can enhance any body and face shape 🧡for those who are tired of blonde or brown, bronde is the solution to change harmony without distortion 🤍for those who have a fair complexion, the most golden tone is recommended 🤎 for the dark complexion, on the other hand, more ash brown ❤️ 🔥what can I say... For me the bronde conquered, and what do you think?”

She Cooks

Alice De Bortoli is seen cooking

De Bortoli likes to cook, and she was taught to do so by her grandmother. She shared this video on Instagram of herself and her grandmother cooking together. De Bortoli captioned it, “Grandparents are wealth in society, my grandmother loves to cook and do it with her since I was a child. She has always inspired my creativity, patience, discipline and order but above all traditions, history, and the concreteness of nature's gifts. The greatest teaching my grandparents passed on to me is respect for people, the environment, animals and the kitchen... Today together we made Carnival Frittelle, an easy, quick dessert that adults and kids love. The ingredients are few and simple (but of high quality) and, trust me, the result is guaranteed: nice round but above all soft and tasty.”

She Works Her Abs

Alice De Bortoli doing ab exercises

Alice De Bortoli/Instagram

De Bortoli shared this video of herself working out on Instagram. In it, she is seen doing core exercises like sit-ups. Core exercises are extremely important. The Mayo Clinic says, “Strong core muscles make it easier to do many activities. When your core muscles are strong, it's easier to swing a golf club, get a glass from the top shelf and bend down to tie your shoes. Strong core muscles help athletes, such as runners. That's because weak core muscles can lead to more fatigue, less endurance and injuries.”

She Works Out With Others

Alice De Bortoli works out with a friend

Alice De Bortoli/Instagram

In the previous Instagram video, De Bortoli is seen working out with a friend. Better Health says that this has a lot of benefits. “You’re less likely to get bored when you have a workout buddy, especially a friend. While you’re catching up, having a laugh, encouraging each other, you’re also getting healthier. It’s a win-win. Chatting to a friend during exercise and breaks can help time pass quickly too. You’ll have more options as well, such as a game of tennis or squash.”

Kristin Cavallari is a reality TV and fashion icon. Since she debuted on Laguna Beach, people have clamoured for her fashion and beauty secrets. Cavallari recently shared her eye makeup secrets on Instagram, after several people asked for them. She captioned the post, “This is for the girlies in my DMs asking about this eye every time I do it. Sorry the lighting is awful. I also don’t know why the audio isn’t in sync for half of it 🫣 but here ya go 💗”

She's Less Strict With Her Diet

Kristin shares a Zucchini Almond Butter Blondies recipe

Kristin Cavallari/Instagram

Cavallari has written several cookbooks, and they have changed as her diet has changed. While promoting her book, Truly Simple with EatingWell, she revealed that her diet is less strict. “I've gotten to a point in my life where not everything has to be so perfect anymore,” Cavallari said. “I used to be so strict about what I was putting in my body. I'm still very healthy and very conscious of it, but I've gotten a little bit more lax. True Roots and True Comfort had nothing ‘white’ in them: no white flour, no white sugar, no white salt. But in Truly Simple, I bend a little bit in a few of the recipes, which really reflects where I am in my life and my new way of eating. Everything is a little bit more relaxed around here now.’

She Loves Cauliflower

Cavallari tells EatingWell that she loves making foods with cauliflower. “I love cauliflower because I think it's very versatile, and there's actually a Sweet Harissa Cauliflower recipe in Truly Simple that's my absolute favorite cauliflower recipe on the planet. If you've ever been to True Food Kitchen, their cauliflower was the inspiration behind it. There's this sweet harissa dressing that's on it, and there's little chopped-up dates in it, so it has that nice balance between sweet and savory. It's the absolute best.”

She Loves Salad

Krisitn Cavallari/Instagram

Cavallari likes to make salads. She shared one of her favorite recipes with EatingWell. “This salad has a few of my favorite things: salmon (which has omega-3s and is so, so good for you), bacon (no explanation needed), avocado (healthy fats), and spicy tomatillo ranch dressing (just yum). Together, they create culinary heaven. If you aren't familiar with tomatillos, they're similar to tomatoes but are slightly less sweet and are perfect when drenched in ranch.”

She Works With A Trainer

Cavallari tells Us Weekly that a lot of her gym sessions are with her personal trainer. “He kicks my ass,” she says. “He pushes me really hard. He has me actually lifting really heavy weight, the heaviest weight I’ve ever lifted in my entire life. I feel the best I ever have. I feel like I’m the strongest I’ve ever been.”

She Shared Her Eye Makeup Trick

Cavallari shared some of her wellness secrets in an interview with Us Weekly. She says that consistency is one of her biggest priorities. “My goal is sort of, right now, just to maintain the muscle that I have,” she says. “I’m really petite. I have no hips. I’m just small. And so if I don’t work out for like a week or two, I feel like all my muscle goes away. So it is about consistency for me.”

Rebeca Andrade is an Olympic gymnast. She is the most decorated Olympic athlete from Brazil, having won two gold medals, three silvers, and a bronze. Andrade recently shared some highlights of her native Brazil on Instagram. In some of them, she posed in a swimsuit while wading. Andrade captioned the post, “SC-&-RS🏕️🌅❤️ Being free is a paradox. It's committing to the life you want, without running away from the work that it entails. It's building freedom every day, with conscious choices and, mainly, with the acceptance that freedom is not the absence of limits, but the autonomy to know which ones are worth it and which ones are not. Being free is being willing to carry the weight of your own life and still find it funny.”

She Swims

In her Instagram post, Andrade is seen swimming. The Cleveland Clinic says that swimming has a lot of benefits. “Swimming takes much less of a toll on your body than, say, running or riding a bike. That’s because exercising in water lessens the impact of your body weight on your joints.”

She Does Gymnastics

Gymnastics is the main way Andrade stays in shape. British Gymnastics states that the sport has a lot of benefits. “When you take part in gymnastics, or any sport for that matter, your body releases chemicals called endorphins. These also help to trigger a positive feeling in the body which can have a positive impact on your happiness and mental wellbeing. This can help to combat feelings of anxiety and depression.”

She Prioritizes Safety

Andrade talked about her training approach in an interview with the Olympics website. She says that she and her coach prioritize her safety, and that she will skip floor sessions if she isn’t able to do it. "I talk a lot with my coach and we trust in each other. We always try to be really safe, and do floor in the correct moments. He believes in me. I'm never going to lie to not do it. So, when I really tell him that I can't do it, it's because I cannot and he always respects that.”

She Sets Goals

In her Olympics website interview, Andrade talked about her commitment and goal setting. Specifically, she talked about her goal to make the Olympic team. “The other [goal], which is the main one, is for us to qualify as a team,” Andrade said. “I think it will be very important for me, for my team, and the focus is on that, whatever happens there, the result is a consequence of our work, of our commitment. But I really want to be there with my team and be happy and healthy.”

She Cooks

Andrade makes sure to eat healthy. She also likes to cook a lot of her own meals. She shared some of her favorite things to make in an interview with NPR. “There was one that was with potatoes and cheese, chicken. There’s cake. There’s cookies. A lot of things.”
