She Boxes

Lima likes to box to keep herself in shape. She talked about this in an interview with Into The Gloss. “I've been boxing since I was 19 years old. For me, it's great zen time. Some people find that in yoga or meditation, but when I'm boxing, I'm not in my head. That's why I love it. It's also great for my skin and hair because I sweat so much, which gets the circulation going. It's amazing, everyone is like, 'oh my God, your hair'—it's from the workout!”

She Takes Care Of Her Hair

Lima has amazing hair, and she makes sure to take care of it. She shared her routine in her Into The Gloss interview. “Once a week, I try to do a hair mask. I take my conditioner and I leave it on for around 30 minutes under my shower cap, but sometimes I'll do 45 minutes. I think the longer the better. And I think it's important to change your conditioner every so often. If I use one continuously, my hair will get used to it, so I keep switching it. Right now I'm using the Victoria's Secret Conditioner—I just used it this morning. I love the smell.”

She Works With A Dermatologist

Lima tells Into The Gloss that she works with a dermatologist to help keep her skin healthy. “My skin is pretty normal. But I travel, so I have to work with wherever I am—we'll shoot in the desert for instance, and my skin will be really dry, and it'll react. But I've always taken care of my skin. Herve Herau is my dermatologist, he's in Paris. He's amazing and I try to see him once a month. When I walk out of his office, I literally look 10 years younger. I'm not joking—that's a fact.”

She Uses Natural Skin Products

Lima tells Into The Gloss that she uses natural products on her skin, and specifically she uses ones from her dermatologist. “Herve has his own line of products and everything is natural. From every product I've tried, his are the best. I have his Face Cleanser and Gel Lotion, and then two creams, a Gel Cream for daytime and an Extra Rich Cream for night. I wear the light one during the day but I'll take the night cream and put it under my eyes. It's really amazing. If I’m on a plane I bring my Caudalie Beauty Elixir, I love that mist.”

She Uses Battle Ropes

The Dogpound gym shared this video on Instagram of Lima doing different exercises. In it, she is seen using battle ropes. NASM states that these exercises have a lot of health benefits. “Battle Rope training allows for safe and effective ways to train force production in all three planes of motion, as an integral part of any well-rounded strength and conditioning program. If you are looking for a tool that recruits multiple core musculature in movements, then the Battle Rope is that tool. High to moderate levels of activation have been found in obliques, erector spinae, and gluteus medius (Calatayud, 2015).”

Supermodel Bella Hadid was born from good stock—her mom is a former model and her siblings are models—but that doesn’t mean she was born healthy. She has to work for it. The payoff is clear in her recent Instagram photo, in which, hair braided under a bandana, she poses in a bikini and a sarong, sitting on some stony steps. Read on to see 5 ways Bella Hadid stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bikini Photos!

1. She Keeps Her Fridge Organized And Full of Healthy Foods

Hadid Instagrammed a photo of the inside of her fridge a few years back. "If anyone wants me to shop and organize their refrigerators I work mornings," the supermodel captioned the photo. Inside was the inspiration for your next grocery shopping list: Justin’s almond butter, 365 cashew butter, Siggi’s yogurts, Stumptown coffee, BluePrint juices, Harmless coconut water, kombucha, raspberries and other berries, celery sticks, carrots and hummus.

2. She Tries to Feel Good Year Round

Chopard Dinner Arrivals - The 74th Annual Cannes Film Festival CANNES, FRANCE - JULY 07: Bella Hadid attends a dinner hosted by Chopard during the 74th annual Cannes Film Festival on July 07, 2021 in Cannes, France. (Photo by Andreas Rentz/Getty Images)

Hadad has worked with nutritionist Charles Passler on her meal planning. Regarding his work with celebrities, “my goal is to help them be able to maintain that actual body composition 365 days a year so that they’re not scrambling at the 11th hour to be sure that they are going to fit into a dress or fit into a bikini,” Passler told People. For Hadid: “It’s adequate protein, adequate fat, and lots and lots and lots of nonstarchy vegetables,” said Passler. “That is typically the most bulletproof, easiest, soundproof way to make sure that somebody stays on track.”

3. She Eats an Early Dinner

Whether it’s because she had early family dinners or for health reasons, Hadid doesn’t like a big late night meal. “All of my friends are like, ‘What do you mean, 7? Let’s go at 10.’ Ten is my bedtime,” she told Harper’s. "The goal is to finish eating dinner, and any dessert, at least 2-3 hours before bed," Sydney Greene, MS, RD, from Greene Health tells Eat This, Not That!. "For most [people], with hectic workdays, this is not entirely realistic so set a non-negotiable 1 hour before bed that is food-free. Research shows that those who go 2-3 hours without eating before bed have a decreased cancer risk, insulin resistance, and inflammation."

4. She Goes Hard During Workouts

Dior Dinner - The 74th Annual Cannes Film FestivalArnold Jerocki/Getty Images

“I train and I work out hard for two hours — I don’t like to do the whole yoga thing. I think yoga is calming, it’s amazing, but if I’m going to go for it, I’m going to go hard,” Hadid said in an E! News interview. "For decades, competitive athletes have added brief bouts of strenuous exercise to their workouts to boost their performance. Known as interval training, this practice is now moving into the mainstream, bolstered by emerging evidence of its health benefits for all sorts of people, including those with heart disease," reports Harvard Health.

5. Here’s a Sample Workout She Has Done

"Annette" & Opening Ceremony Red Carpet - The 74th Annual Cannes Film FestivalSamir Hussein/WireImage

What's your daily workout? "When time is on my side, I train with my coach for intensive sessions. I run non-stop for 20 minutes followed by a boxing session and finally a series of weights targeting the abs and glutes. We keep the routines varied, so the sessions are always fun," she told Vogue France. To sculpt her curves: "Definitely boxing. But also Body Ballet, I've only tried it out once but I can see the long term results amongst my friends." For washboard abs: "Nothing other than boxing and a series of targeted ab workouts."

1. She Is Efficient with Her Diet and Workout

jennifer-lopez-1Jennifer Lopez Instagram

"You got to work out, you got to watch what you eat. It's a job—you've got to buckle down,” Us Weekly confirms J.Lo about how to stay in shape. "In my 20s and 30s I used to work out but not like I do now," she added to InStyle. "It's not that I work out more; I just work out harder and smarter. And it doesn't take me as long as it did in the past. I do it more for my health than I do for looks, which is funny. When you do things for the right reasons, you actually look better!"

2. She Works Out Daily

"Very rarely will I skip my workout," Lopez revealed to Us Weekly. "Sometimes, I work too late the night before, and I'm like, 'Ugh, I can't do this.' But I tell myself, 'Just do it. It's only an hour.' It's just talking yourself off the ledge of being a lazy bum."

3. Exercise Makes Her Happy

"I am 100 percent convinced that working out is part of what makes me so happy,” Jennifer explained to Hello. “Dance has always been a huge part of my life and taking the time to move my body and do something that's so good for me is key to my happiness. When my confidence is lagging, I dance. There's something about seeing what my body is capable of and feeling the endorphin rush that comes with a good dance session that really helps boost my confidence and my mood. I still consider myself a dancer at heart and I love it.”

4. Her Diet Is Extremely Disciplined

Lopez drinks a lot of water, per Dodd Romero, her trainer. “She drinks a minimum of seven glasses a day,” he told US Weekly. He also revealed that her diet is clean, consisting of protein, vegetables, fats, carbohydrates and water. She “stays away from processed foods and gets her nutrients from whole sources,” he specifies. Her go-to proteins include egg whites, white meat turkey, chicken breast and grass-fed beef , while she gets her fats from fish rich in omegas like salmon and sea bass and “a handful” of nuts per day. Veggies are also in abundance, however, she avoids carrots and corn as they are higher in sugar than leafy greens. Other menu items include complex carbs like sweet potatoes, brown rice, quinoa, rice bread and oatmeal with fresh berries.

5. She Indulges on Occasion

"Throughout the years I’ve learned the importance of maintaining a healthier […] diet," she explained to People. "I still eat some of the foods I love, but in moderation. I don’t deprive myself."

Unveiling the Workout Secrets That Keep Ariana Madix in Star Shape

Ariana Madix first came into prominence in 2013, when she joined the cast of the Bravo series, Vanderpump Rules. She quickly was seen as a fan-favorite on the show, and after her long-time boyfriend and fellow cast member, Tom Sandoval, cheated on her with another cast member, she became even more beloved. Madix has released her own cocktail book, Fancy AF, appeared in several commercials and placed third on the most recent season of Dancing With The Stars. Madix is currently starring as Roxie Hart in Chicago. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Ariana Madix stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Dances

Madix is an avid dancer. Harvard Health states that dancing has a lot of benefits. “The evidence for the health benefits of exercise is indisputable. Physiologic studies have demonstrated that regular activity builds muscle and bone, reduces fat, increases aerobic capacity, lowers blood pressure, and improves the ratio of ‘good’ to ‘bad’ cholesterol. Dance has been shown to have all the benefits of other forms of exercise. Moreover, by incorporating music, dance may have benefits beyond those of exercise alone. Music stimulates the brain's reward centers, while dance activates its sensory and motor circuits. Dancing has improved balance, gait, and quality of life in people with Parkinson's disease and related movement disorders. And several — but not all — studies have indicated that mastering dance movements and patterns yields greater improvements in memory and problem-solving than walking does.”

2. She Wears Sunscreen

Madix has amazing skin and makes sure to take care of it. She shared her secrets with Byrdie. “I never, ever skip my SPF. My bestie taught me the best combo: EltaMD regular and tinted mixed together for the perfect protection and skin tint. My biggest mistake was getting in tanning beds and rebuking SPF. I always tan and never burn so I thought I was somehow immune to the damage the sun can cause. I was very wrong and dealt with melanoma in 2018. Now you’ll never catch me without UV protection!”

3. She’s Consistent With Skincare

When it comes to skincare, Madix makes sure to take care of it consistently. She explained to Byrdie, “Consistency is key! Even if I don’t have time to do an entire routine, if I’m consistently cleansing my face and applying something to seal in moisture, I’ll wake up feeling so much better. If I do a full routine once a week or once a month, it won’t have the same effect.”

4. She Stays Hydrated On Flights

Under,Eye,Dark,Circles,Hydrogel,Patches,With,Aloe,Vera,OnShutterstock

Madix is all about hydration, especially when she’s taking a flight. She shared her secrets for staying hydrated on flights to Byrdie. “I never fly without eye patches. Right now, I’m loving the Nip + Fab Hyaluronic Fix Extreme Jelly Eye Patches ($20). I put them on when we start our descent; it helps to look less dehydrated after flying. It’s not a product, but I buy the biggest bottle of water I can find in the terminal and make myself chug it.”

5. She Wants To Be A Role Model

Madix is open about her struggles with body image, an eating disorder, and mental health. She talked about this in an essay with SELF. “I am putting myself out there being on reality TV, but it’s really tough to be judged. Part of me feels like there are so many people who are just like me, and if I go away or if I’m not around or if it gets to be too much for me, then they won’t see anybody they can relate to. I definitely feel less alone because of everything I’ve been through on TV and through telling my story. I meet people all the time who have gone through similar things, and I think that’s a really big blessing that’s come from this experience: They, in turn, make me feel not alone.”

1. Taylor Hill Loves Her Body

Paris,,France,-,November,30:,Taylor,Hill,Walks,The,RunwayShutterstock

"I used to hate my body, and I thought I was really ugly," Taylor told Byrdie. "I was so not confident, and becoming a model—and especially a VS girl—has changed my perspective on who I am. It's kind of given me a new light: You're beautiful no matter what you look like, no matter what body type you have. I always envied curvy women because I wasn't that. The grass is always greener, and you'll always have to deal with that. But being a model has helped me embrace my body type. It's hard on some girls, but it actually helped me a lot."

2. Taylor Hill Exercises

Paris,,France,-,November,30:,Taylor,Hill,Walks,The,RunwayShutterstock

Taylor mixes up her workouts. “I do mainly light weight-lifting and squats when I’m in the gym. My favorite place is Dogpound in NYC,” Taylor revealed to Harper’s Bazaar about her sweat sessions. “But I also do some yoga, pilates and crossfit. It’s important to switch things up so that your body doesn’t get too used to anything.”

3. Taylor Hill Doesn’t Believe in Diets

Stop,Dieting,Red,Sign,With,Sun,BackgroundShutterstock

“I actually don’t stick to any diets, but I eat everything in moderation. Plus, exercising regularly is very important,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. 4. Taylor Hills Reads

In her recent post, Taylor shows off the latest book she is reading. One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years compared with people who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

5. Taylor Hill Works Out with a Personal Trainer

Female,Personal,Trainer,,With,His,Back,Facing,The,Camera,,LookingShutterstock

Taylor enlists the help of a personal trainer to achieve her goals. "I have to use a trainer because I cheat in classes," she told Byrdie. "I'm a natural-born cheater. I cheat on everything—I cheated on tests (don't tell my teachers), I cheat workouts, I eat whatever I want! So I just needed someone to watch me and make sure I'm doing it correctly. When I have an hour, I want to give everything I have to that hour, like, really work out.”

6. Sara Sampaio Does Pilates

Paris,,France,-,November,30:,Sara,Sampaio,Walks,The,RunwayShutterstock

Sara likes an amped up version of pilates. “I've been doing a lot of SLT. It’s like a really intense Pilates with a machine. I’ve noticed with my body that small movements have done more for my body than the boot camps. My body moves better when it’s very focused on small movements that elongate your body and your muscles,” she told The Cut. “I tried SLT for the first time five or six years ago when I first got to New York. It was really hard, it was too hard. Then I was training for the Victoria’s Secret show last year and gave it another try. I really liked it, it was not as hard. I think they had changed it a little bit. I could actually go through a whole class without feeling like I was going to break down.”

7. Shanina Shaik Works Out with Personal Trainers

London,,England,-,December,02:,Victoria's,Secret,Model,Shanina,ShaikShutterstock

Shanina relies on personal trainers to keep her in runway model form. “I have a few favorite trainers whom I’ve enjoyed following over some time now, including Melissa Wood, Megan Roup of Sculpt Society, and Shannon Nadj of Hot Pilates. It’s extremely motivating to follow their workouts, even from the comfort of home. I usually gravitate toward workouts that incorporate a lot of Pilates. My favorite moves are making small circles and stretching your legs with ankle bands. Lastly, I like to use a resistance band, pointing your feet and pulsing up and down; it’s great for the inner and outer thighs,” Shanina revealed to Hum Nutrition.

8. Kelsey Merritt Does Two a Days

New,York,,Ny,-,February,05:,Kelsey,Merritt,Attends,TheShutterstock

Kelsey works out not once, but twice a day. "The past few months I've been working out everyday—and sometimes twice a day. This past week I did pilates, if I feel good then I'll do 30 minutes of cardio. I always make sure to put cardio in my workouts. I'll do SoulCycle, then I'll go on the treadmill. I will do strength training with a personal trainer at Dogpound,” she told Elle.

9. Jasmine Tookes Balances Diet with Exercise

New,York,,Ny,-,November,13:,Model,Jasmine,Tookes,WalksShutterstock

Jasmine fuels her workouts with food. “I love to eat tons of food with lots of carbs. I balance it with working out. But generally, I try to be very clean and eat healthy, and always have a lot of protein. I do have a lot of cheat days. I feel like you should be able to eat what you want,” she told The Cut. One of her cheat meals? “I love to have hot wings and French fries,” she said.

Hailey eats as plant-based as possible, because it makes her feel good."I tried a plant-based diet for two months during quarantine," she told Harper's Bazaar. "I felt great and I had a lot of energy, but it was not for me. I don't eat a strictly plant-based diet and I do still eat meat. I just don't eat a lot of it. I've picked up more fish, greens, and lentils." Her diet involves "a lot of vegetables and fish, not much meat, minimal dairy,” she told Byrdie. "I just feel better when I eat that way."

11. Alessandra Ambrosio Allows Herself to Indulge

Paris,,France,-,November,30:,Alessandra,Ambrosio,Walks,The,RunwayShutterstock

Alessandra used to go to extremes to stay in shape, but avoids dieting now. "After having Anja I only had three months to lose all the weight [before doing the 2008 Victoria's Secret show] and I was on this 1,200-calorie-a-day meal-delivery service that I hated. I couldn't do that again," she told The Edit. "Whenever I start to diet, everything goes downhill,” she added. “So if I want a little bite of dark chocolate on a plane or a cocktail with friends on the weekend, I'll have it. In fact, I'll drink a glass of red wine with dinner most nights, and two or three times a week I'll have a cup of tea and a cupcake with Anja, who's as obsessed with red velvet as I am.”

12. Candice Swanepoel Has a “Balanced” Approach to Wellness

London,,England,-,December,02:,Victoria's,Secret,Model,Candice,SwanepoelShutterstock

Candice focuses on upholding a balanced lifestyle. “It’s being happy and healthy. I don’t like restrict myself from certain foods that I want, or kill myself at the gym. It’s really what’s comfortable for my body at the time and what’s best at that moment,” she told The Cut.

13. Kelly Gale Eats Clean and Exercises

Paris,,France,-,November,30:,Kelly,Gale,Walks,The,RunwayShutterstock

Kelly tries to exercise daily. “Usually on my days off, and sometimes before going to set – I end up heading to pilates, boxing or jump rope and when that gets boring, I go rock climbing with friends or find some other activity we can tackle,” she revealed to V Magazine, adding to Grazia that she works out “for a few hours” and does “a lot” of walking. She also eats clean.“My diet generally consists of fresh, organic produce (all veggies, nuts, seafood, occasional eggs and lots of raw vegan dark chocolate) and superfoods everyday such as chlorella and spirulina. If I ever need an immune booster I have tons of ginger, tumeric and baobab,” she said. It “takes a while to get used to healthier foods if you’re used to eating crap, or if you have been brought up eating a certain kind of way,” she admitted. “To me, almost everything clean and healthy taste good and you can always play around and make it taste even better.” Another way she sets herself up for healthy eating success is preparation. “When I’m traveling, I always bring a big variety of healthy snacks and superfoods – usually opting for vegetables and fish or seafood when ordering food or on set.”

14. Izabel Goulart Juices

London,,England,-,December,02:,Victoria's,Secret,Model,Izabel,GoulartShutterstock

Izabel drinks a lot of juices. “The first thing I do in the morning is prepare fresh juice. I have 15 different recipes, which I drink for 15 days consecutively. Then I repeat the recipes from the beginning for the next 15 days of the month. My juices include fruit, vegetables, leafy greens, and even grains. After a workout, I have a protein drink and always keep a protein bar in my bag," she told Vogue.

Miranda relies on lemon water to keep her digestive system working. “Hot water with lemon to start the day, it's really good and it stimulates the digestive systems,” she told Elle UK. After downing that, she moves on to another trendy beverage. “And then after that I have my cold-pressed green juice every day. And it has like kale, spinach, cucumber, celery.”

Doutzen dances her way to a hot body. Her favorite workout is Ballet Beautiful with Mary Helen Bowers, which she takes three times a week. “It keeps everything tight. I’ve worked out with her for two years and I really like the results,” she told Vogue. “I used to always box and run, and with boxing, I would build a lot of muscle. After I had my son [Phyllon, age 3½], I started doing ballet. It makes you long and lean—it’s like the Pilates look.”

Actress Sophie Turner is currently enjoying a vacation with friends in the beautiful Maldives. She recently shared a set of photos from the trip on Instagram. In them, Turner is seen snorkeling, bike riding, cooking, and spending time on the beach. She wore different swimsuits in the post, showing off her impressive figure, and got praise in the comments. Turner captioned the post, “Who knew that all it takes to be happy is tea tasting, perfume making, breathwork, sound therapy, spotting dolphins, watsu, cooking classes, turtle snorkeling, massages and getting burnt on the beach with your besties in the Maldives at @joalibeing.”

She Swims

Turner likes to swim to keep herself in shape. While on her Maldives vacation, she and her friends did some snorkeling. Swimming is very beneficial. The Cleveland Clinic says, “According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a 154-pound person who swims slow freestyle laps for 30 minutes burns 255 calories. But that amount varies depending on your weight, speed and stroke. Swim England reports that butterfly stroke burns the most calories, but because it can be so hard to learn and to maintain — especially for beginners — it’s not recommended as a weight loss go-to. Freestyle is the better option, and only after you’ve learned how to do it the right way.”

She Bikes

Turner is seen biking on the walkway by the beach in her Instagram post. Biking has a lot of health benefits. A Healthier Michigan states, “Biking is a calorie burner. All that work your body is doing by pedaling and balancing not only works muscles in your arms and core, but it counts as serious cardio exercise and burns calories with every spin of the wheels. By biking at a moderate pace, about 12 or 13 miles per hour, a person weighing 155 pounds burns nearly 300 calories in 30 minutes, according to statistics shared by Harvard University. Like to pedal faster? A person of that same weight doing a fast pace of 14 or 15 miles per hour burns more than 370 calories in 30 minutes.”

She Cooks

Turner makes sure to eat a healthy diet. In her Instagram post, she is seen cooking a rice dish, and enjoying fresh vegetables. Cooking has a lot of health benefits. Harvard Health says it can help you eat better. “We already know that the more people cook at home, the healthier their diet, the fewer calories they consume, and the less likely they are to be obese or develop type 2 diabetes. A growing body of scientific evidence supports teaching patients how to cook meals at home as an effective medical intervention for improving diet quality, weight loss, and diabetes prevention.”

She Embraces Discomfort

Turner is open about her past struggles with an eating disorder. She revealed to British Vogue that she has learned to embrace her uncomfortable feelings to help her treat it. "I know when I'm in a bad headspace that the eating thing will always flare up. But now I regulate it by sitting in the discomfort and just getting used to that feeling of being full. It's all exposure therapy. I think life is exposure therapy."

She’s Comfortable With Her Body

Turner tells British Vogue that having her kids helped her be comfortable with her body. "I remember after I had my baby, my therapist asked me how I felt in my body. And of course I was like, 'Well, there's milk leaking from my breasts and I've been bleeding for a month.' Then she reminded me how amazing it is that our bodies can do this and how important it is to put all the nutrients in your body so that it can do that. I mean, it sounds so simple, but I never thought of my body in that way before."

Jen Heward is a fitness influencer. A few weeks ago, she shared a workout she did while she was pregnant on Instagram. In it, Heward is seen doing things like lunges, bicep curls, and modified push-ups. Heward captioned the post, “Always picking wedgies 🐫🤣 Killer full body burn 🔥 from the drafts!! Little did I know I was going to have a baby 2 weeks from the day this was filmed 🥹 I actually haven’t done a full body since this workout 🤣 I’m inspired by my own videos to get back into it again 💪🏼”

She Strength Trains

In her Instagram post, Heward is seen doing exercises with weights. This has a lot of benefits. ACE Fitness states, “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Does Lunges

Another exercise that Heward is seen doing in her Instagram post is lunges. According to The Mayo Clinic, this exercise has a lot of health benefits. “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles. The lunge is a great conditioning exercise for many sports, especially those that involve lunging movements, such as tennis, basketball or soccer.”

She Does Core Workouts

Heward likes to do core workouts to keep herself in shape. She shared some of her favorite core exercises with ankle weights in this Instagram post. Heward captioned it, “Strengthening these hips and core back postpartum 🔥 plus quite a few of you were asking for some inner thigh exercises! SAVE 4 LATER. It might not look like much for core, but you need a whole lot of deep core stability for these leg exercises. This way you hit more than one muscle group at a time! The workout took me 30 min but had me 🥵”

She Does Pull-Ups

Heward shared this workout video on Instagram. In it, she is seen doing pull-ups. According to Gymless, it can be very beneficial to do these. “Pull-ups are one of the most fundamental calisthenics exercises that build up your strength and endurance in the upper body. It is commonly used as a form of physical test from schools all the way up to the military. Many athletes from all sports backgrounds use pull-ups in their training, which makes this one of the best exercises for building the upper body and developing a bigger and stronger back.”

She Does Hip Thrusts

Heward is also seen doing hip thrusts in the previous Instagram link. Gymless says that these are very beneficial for your glutes. “Strong glutes are not only for aesthetic appeal; they serve a key functional purpose in supporting the posterior chain of muscles around the spine. Hip thrusts are also known for their capacity to develop and define glute muscles, contributing to their popularity on social media. After all, who doesn’t appreciate the look of a well-crafted pair of glutes?”

Brooke Ence is a fitness expert, and is the founder of From The Farm USA. She shares a lot of her favorite workouts on Instagram. Recently, Ence shared a video of herself doing interval weight training. In it, she is seen doing things like burpees, deadlifts, and sit-ups. Ence captioned the post, “So here’s one of my favorite ways to break a sweat. 🔥 It’s challenging, mentally engaging, and interval style, which always keeps it fun.”

She Lifts Weights

As you can see from her Instagram video, Ence likes to lift weights to keep herself in shape. She shares a lot of other posts of herself using weights. According to ACE Fitness, lifting weights has a lot of health benefits. “Lifting heavy weights elevates levels of anabolic hormones—specifically testosterone, growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1)—which are used to repair muscle fibers damaged during exercise. This helps the muscle fibers to become thicker and capable of generating higher levels of force.”

She Does Deadlifts

Ence is seen doing deadlifts in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness says that this exercise has a lot of benefits. “One significant benefit of the RDL is that it teaches clients how to lift from the hips instead of using the lower back. The base move of the RDL is the standing hip hinge, which is an important component of learning how to squat correctly. The first move during the lowering phase of the squat should be the hips moving back in a flexed position. Back pain is often associated with not using the hips properly when squatting or bending over to pick an object up off of the ground. Teaching clients how to lift safely in the gym means they m

She Does Burpees

Ence is seen doing burpees by jumping over a barbell in her Instagram video. Burpees have a lot of benefits. A Healthier Michigan says, “A burpee is an easy exercise and can be done in almost any location because it involves no workout equipment and only requires a small amount of space. Burpees workout your entire body and are great for building strength and burning calories.”

She Does Sit-ups

Another exercise that Ence is seen doing in her Instagram video is sit-ups. The Cleveland Clinic says that sit-ups are very beneficial. “Sit ups are essential for strengthening your core — something that’s obvious. But your core is responsible for so much more than those classic ‘six pack’ abs many strive for. A strong core can reduce back pain, improve balance and increase your flexibility. Core muscles also support your hips and pelvis. Finally, a strong core will help you build good posture.”

She Jumps Rope
