Debbe Dunning is golfing in her workout gear. In a new social media post the Home Improvement Tool Time girl shows off her fantastic figure at 57. “Have you been practicing? I feel like your swinging has improved a lot. Great job! You’d be beautiful doing anything but it’s clear you’ve been working and your swing sure looks nice!! ⛳️,” she captioned the Instagram clip. “Golf queen,” commented one of her followers. How does the star approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1. Hiking and Rock Climbing

Dunning loves to hike and regularly explored trails and mountains on her show, Dude Ranch Round-Up. “One that comes to mind was at Arkansas’ Horseshoe Canyon Ranch. I was told we were going to go on a little hike, so I threw on some tennis shoes and my little workout outfit. I started getting harnessed in, and I’m like, ‘what kind of hike is this?’ I was literally scaling a flat span of rock, super high up on the mountain. I was clipped in, looking down, and thinking, ‘oh my gosh.’ I remember rappelling, traversing, and holding on for dear life, glancing down, saying, ‘You can do this,” she told Cowgirl Magazine. “When I got back to my room, I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I can’t believe I did that.’ When I laid in bed, it was ‘Oh my gosh, I did it.’”

2. Strength Training

Dunning spends a lot of time in the gym doing strength and weight training. “Take care of it & it will take care of you,” she wrote about one session, doing various exercises with a kettlebell and free weights. According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

3. Roller Skating

Debbe, who lives near the beach, loves roller skating. “Strand skating in October! California summer’s never end💋🛼 #endlesssummer,” she captioned a video.

4. Skiing

Debbe takes breaks from the sun and goes skiing in the mountains. “Traded the sun for some snow! Great time with friends on the slopes🎿 Now time to cozy up by the fire,” she captioned a post. Research has linked downhill skiing to a number of health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress and the occurrence of memory deficits declines.

5. Golf

Debbe is an avid golfer and shares a lot of posts from the green. A comprehensive review published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine found that golf's health benefits are extensive, including mind, body, and even lifespan. Benefits include improved longevity, decreased risk of developing heart disease or suffering a stroke, good mental health, and improved strength and balance.

Mel Reid is celebrating on the green in her workout gear. The golf star recently shared a moment with fellow golfer Celine Boutier after she clinched a win against Lexi Thompson during the 2024 Solheim Cup. Dressed in white shorts and a star-spangled top, Reid, known as one of the fittest golfers in the world, stays in shape through a combination of challenging workouts and balanced priorities. From intense gym sessions to goat yoga, Reid has embraced a holistic approach to fitness and personal well-being. Here’s how she keeps her body and mind sharp while navigating her professional and personal life.

1. She Has a Trainer

The Solheim Cup - Final RoundDavid Cannon/Getty Images

Sporting white shorts and a white shorts-sleeved white and blue top with stars, Reid recently celebrated with Celine Boutier after she won her match against Lexi Thompson on the 18th green during the singles matches on the final day of the 2024 Solheim Cup at The Robert Trent. Reid is known for being one of the top players in women’s golf but also billed as “one of the fittest golfers in the world,” per Golf Magazine. One way Reid stays in such great shape is by working out with Ken Macdonald, who is a level 3 Golf Fitness Specialist and Certified Tennis Performance Specialist.

2. She Does Density Workouts

Mel ReidGolf Magazine

Reid shows off her impressive gym skills in a video for Golf Magazine. Her trainer, Macdonald, was also on hand to explain her intense workout regime. “It’s a 15-minute density set, which means we’re going to do five exercises in a circuit fashion.” Each exercise is done in about one minute.‘What we’re trying to do is get some strength and power but in an endurance fashion,” Macdonald said.

3. She Does Goat Yoga

Goat Yoga has become increasingly popular over the last few years, and Reid has tried out the hot fitness craze in a post captioned “In the presence of greatness. G.O.A.T.” Reid has a goat on her back and is in a yoga pose. According to Arizona Goat Yoga, the out-of-the-ordinary workout has several benefits, including stress release, increased mindfulness, mood enhancement, and a connection to nature and animals.

4. She Has a Strong Communtiy

Reid often travels for work with her wife and their baby, which is challenging, but she explained how they make it work in an interview with LPGA.“The people that have been very welcoming and open to staying with us have made a huge difference,” Mel said. “It gives us a little bit of a break at the end of the day because they want to just hang out with Kai, as well. He is starting to recognize faces. He sees Emily (Kristine Pedersen), and he sees Carlota (Ciganda), and he sees Olly (Brett), and he gravitates to them. I think that's a cool experience, not just for us but for them as well.”

5. Learning Balance and New Priorites

Reid shifted her focus to motherhood when their son was born, and golf is no longer the top priority. “Golf is secondary, if not third, now to be honest with you,” Mel explained in the LPGA interview. “I've always played golf for myself and tried to prove to myself that I can do this. The competitiveness inside of me, it's almost taken that away a little bit. I can have a bad day, and it sucks, but it doesn't suck anywhere near as much as it used to. I have to find that little fire in me again to see what my purpose is on the golf course. That's probably been the biggest challenge for me this year.”

Paige Spiranac has upgraded. “Very exciting news I’m finally able to share! After lots of hard work I’m happy to announce I’ve joined Passes.com!,” the former All-Mountain West Conference golfer announced, in a photo accompanying images of her in workout gear. ”As a lot of you know I had my own subscription site OnlyPaige but wanted to add in more features to enhance the user experience and found that Passes had everything I wanted and more. It’s bigger and better than anything I’ve done before! You have access to never before seen pictures and videos, can speak with me directly in DMs, live streaming anytime/anywhere, and so much more! …Come chat with me 🥰.” (Here’s the link to it.) How does she stay so fit? Here’s how.

1. This is How She Got Into Golf

“It was kind of an interesting story,” she told WKYC. “I don't come from a big golf family, and that's how most kids get into it because their parents are obsessed with it. And I was actually a competitive gymnast first and had a couple really bad injuries. And so I was looking for a sport that I'd be good at because again—sports was just such a big part of our family dynamic—and they always said, you need to focus in on something that you want to do. And sports was always at the forefront. And so after gymnastics I was like, what could I be good at? We brought my aunt out, she put me through some drills and tennis for a bootcamp of two days and I was like, I can't do this. It's too much running after gymnastics. And my dad was like, let's just go out and hit some golf balls on the range. And I fell in love with it instantly and have never looked back.”

2. She Went Pro But Found a New Career

She “had a really good junior golf career, played in college, and then I played one year professionally. And while I was doing that, I kind of blew up on social media, just kind of happened. And so I was doing both and I really couldn't do both. And so I finally decided I'm going to focus on social media and not play golf professionally anymore, which was now looking back the best decision I could have made,” she told WKYC.

3. She Found Her Passion For Competitive Golf Again

“I played junior golf, college golf and a year professionally. After that stretch I mentally couldn’t handle playing golf and especially keeping score,” she Tweeted this year. “I equated my score to my self worth. I know it sounds silly but competitive golf really beat me up emotionally. But I’ve found that passion again! I’ve started tracking my scores and grinding on my game. I’ll keep you posted here on my journey! This round at Austin CC I shot a 73. Such a fun track!”

4. Here is the Origin of Her Outfits

"I was a gymnast before I switched into golf," she told Sports Illustrated. "I was so comfortable wearing spandex and very little of it because that's just what you wear when you're wearing a leotard and you're competing. "When I switched into golf, we were struggling a little bit financially, and so I didn't have the luxury to go out and buy a whole new golf-appropriate wardrobe. And so, I wore what was in my closet, which was workout clothes. That's just how I learned to play the game."

5. Gymnastics vs. Golf

ShutterstockShutterstock

Spiranac was a champion gymnast before she played golf. “Gymnastics prepares you really well for something like golf,” she told Golf Digest. “I was doing it for seven hours a day, and I really learned body awareness and mental toughness. I just transferred those lessons and habits to golf. Golf is harder than gymnastics. You know how I know that? I could do a double backflip like it was nothing. But I can easily miss a three-footer.”

6. She’s a Social Media Genius

Spiranac found that was is “really well suited for social media because when I first started doing this, no one was really utilizing social media in the golf space,” she told WKYC. “And so I was the first to do this and it was out of necessity. I needed clubs, I need balls, I needed a place to practice. And so I was using my platform to be able to market and advertise for these companies so I could just get anything free. At the moment, I was really struggling financially and after that it just kept growing and it was like a snowball and I kept building and have a really great team around me. It's been interesting because no one has done this before. So we are paving this path and it's really cool to see all of these golf influencers come up behind me and have this blueprint that we just kind of built and came up with. And so it's been an amazing eight years of doing this.”

7. Her Favorite Golfer

Her favorite golfer? “I’m unfortunately not playing as much, but everyone has to say Tiger Woods,” she told Sports Illustrated. “We wouldn't be where we are without Tiger. He is so fun to watch the shots that he hits. And again, just his passion and competitiveness is something that we've never seen before. And I would say now current players, there are so many really amazing players, it's hard to pick, but I love Max Homa. I love how he incorporates social media into his job because most professional athletes are a little bit nervous to get all in on social media and he was one of the first to really do it in golf and he has a massive loyal fan base and playing some great golf. And so I love watching what he's doing.”

8. Self-Confidence

Spiranac is constantly trying to prove herself. “I don’t think a lot of people take me seriously and that’s what hurts the most because I’m grinding every single day to be better,” he told Colorado AvidGolfer. “I’m not overconfident, but my mentality is that I want to prove myself—and I think that’s more powerful. If I didn’t have that mentality, I probably would have quit by now.”

9. Happy Introvert

Spiranac is not interested in a party lifestyle. “I'm introverted, and all my friends make fun of me because all I do is work out and play golf,” she told Golf Digest. “I'm a grandma: stay in most nights and asleep by 9:30. One more thing about how I dress: Most guys have no idea how freaking comfortable yoga pants are.”

10. Lighten Up

Spiranac wants people to lighten up when it comes to golf. “I feel like when I’m on the golf course I respect the game,” she told Colorado AvidGolfer. “I think that’s what you need to preserve with golf, the sportsmanship. It’s not what I wear. It’s not the fact that I’m having fun—I mean, seeing me have fun on the golf course, is that so wrong? I think people need to have more fun, and that’s why golf is struggling right now. The younger generation wants to go out on the course and have fun, but they’re criticized for not wearing nice pants and a polo.”

11. She Considers Herself an Athlete

As for why she wears what she wants to: “I consider myself an athlete,” she told Sports Illustrated. “I consider people who play golf, which is a hot take to some athletes who play golf: Why don't we dress like athletes? They're out there, poor Lucas Glover and he's the unbreathable pants sweating like crazy. And I'm like, let's dress like athletes. And so that was always my mindset when I got into golf and it really rubbed people the wrong way, which is shocking. Shocking. But I mean, they'll have really intense discussions over if they should wear shorts or pants or a blade collar, a real collar. And I'm out here just in tank tops and spandex and people are like, what are you doing? But I love it. And I think we're starting to see that change and fashion is such a big part of growing the game and it's moving in the right direction.”

Holly Sonders is a reporter and fitness influencer. She shares a lot of stunning posts on Instagram. Last month, she shared a video of herself playing golf. Sonders captioned the post, “Happy Masters week.” In November, she shared a video on Instagram highlighting her workout business. In it, she’s seen doing leg and ab workouts. "Wow," said one fan. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Holly Sonders stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Works Her Abs

In her Instagram video, Sonders is seen working her abs. She talked about this in an interview with Golf Digest. “Sitting down, I'm shorter than anyone. Then we stand up, and I'm taller than anybody. I don't want to do crunches or anything that makes me shorter, but I do 500 ab exercises three times a week, usually standing up. Lengthening while strengthening.”

2. She Works With A Trainer

Female,Personal,Trainer,,With,His,Back,Facing,The,Camera,,LookingShutterstock

In her Golf Digest interview, Sonders revealed that she works with a trainer. ACE Fitness states that personal trainers can help you avoid injury. “If you are new to exercise or find that some movements are painful, it is worth hiring a trainer to be certain that you are moving in a safe and effective way. Taking the time to learn proper exercise technique can improve your results and prevent annoying injuries.”

3. She Does Squats

In her Golf Digest interview, Sonders revealed that she loves to do squats to stay in shape. Piedmont states that squats are a great exercise. “Squats are a compound, multi-joint movement, which means they exercise several muscle groups. When you perform a squat, you work your calves, quads, hamstrings, glutes, core and part of your back.”

4. She Left A Job

University of Oklahoma vs Florida Atlantic UniversityGreg Nelson /Sports Illustrated/Getty Images

Sonders talked about why she decided to leave FOX in an interview. “I was just dying inside most of the time, to being told what to say, what to do, how to act, and so it’s, there’s something to be said for being free whether other people like it or not. At the end of Fox, it was just, after 10 years of being scripted, and told what to say, and to cut my hair, and to wear baggy clothing and to wear a polo, I’d had enough.”

5. She Golfs

Golf is one of the ways Sonders stays in shape. Keiser University states that golf can improve muscle strength. “The golf swing is a complex movement that engages multiple muscle groups. The rotation of the torso, the extension of the arms, and the stability of the legs all contribute to toning and strengthening various muscles throughout the body. Golfers develop strength in their core, arms, shoulders, and legs, resulting in improved posture and reduced risk of injuries. Regularly playing golf can lead to increased muscle tone and endurance, enhancing your physical fitness.”

Fitness influencer Demi Bagby is showing off her incredible climbing skills in a new Instagram post. Bagby, 23, shared a video of herself wearing a brightly-colored leotard, effortlessly climbing up a pillar like a superhero. “Is it just me or do you have to climb these when you see them?! 👀 👐🏻” she captioned the post. “Dang, girl! There’s just something irresistible about climbing these! Keep embracing that playful spirit! 💖” commented fellow fitness influencer Alexia Clark. Bagby has been a social media sensation since she was a teenager—here’s what her diet, wellness, and training looks like.

1. Healthy Diet

Slices,Of,Beef,Steak,With,Grilled,Vegetables,On,Cutting,BoardShutterstock

Bagby enjoys a balanced diet with plenty of vegetables and quality protein. “I’ll have a little dose of ice cream every once in a while, but I definitely eat a lot of protein and veggies,” she told Muscle & Fitness. “I like to keep it lower carb for the most part just because my body feels better doing so, but nothing too specific. Online I see all these diet claims but I’ve kind of just gone on a whim and said, ‘Hey, just stick to the staples: protein, vegetables, keep it simple.’ You know what’s healthy and what’s not. You’re not going to eat pizza every day.”

2. Love For Golf

Demi.Bagby.2Demi Bagby/Instagram

Bagby has developed a newfound appreciation for golf. “I was always that person who thought, that looks so boring,” she told Golf Digest. “But I had a blast. You can make it as challenging as you want. I love the mental aspect. It carries over to other sports, without being as physically taxing.”

3. Golf Fashion

Demi.Bagby.3Demi Bagby/Instagram

Bagby loves experimenting with her golfing attire. “The golf outfits are fun,” she told Golf Digest. “There’s a lot less out there for the females, but they’re starting to pop off a bit more. I’m used to more form-fitting clothes, and the golf clothes are looser. I’m used to technical apparel, where even the T-shirts are tight. Golf clothes are more flowy.”

4. Training Gym

Bagby is careful to avoid injuries. “Training in a safe environment—at a gym, for example, with foam pits or something like that—to build the muscle memory and gain air awareness is important,” she told Muscle & Fitness. “If I were to go try to throw something outside on concrete that I’m not ready for, your body is like, ‘Nope,’ and then you get hurt. Flips are definitely something to take more seriously, because in an instant you could be on the ground in a lot of pain.”

5. How She Trains

Bagby has a structured training regimen. “I like to train specific parts of my body each day,” she told Muscle & Fitness. “I’ll do an upper-body day, lower-body, and always add a little bit of cardio at the end. Everything that we do, for the most part, on Instagram that doesn’t count toward my training for the day, that’s just me messing around.”

Leonie Hanne is living her best life in Thailand – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the German model flaunts her fantastic figure in a $750 Missoni bathing suit while enjoying a boating day in the tropics. “She dreamed of a tropical adventure 🦋,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. ”So beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Leonie enjoys the perks of caffeine. In one of her posts from Thailand, she drinks a cup of coffee at the poolside. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Pilates

Leonie does Pilates at the super exclusive London studio Pilates in the Clouds. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

At-Home Workouts

Leonie tries to get a workout in daily, preferably in the morning. I still try to get up early to maintain a sense of routine. I start every day with a quick at-home workout and a homemade acai bowl, before starting work on emails and content creation. I’ve been getting really into TikTok lately, it’s funny and keeps me feeling energised!” she told Arcadia.

Community

It takes a village, according to Leonie. “Community is key! The people you surround yourself with are more important than ever, as we are all trying to find ways to stay connected without being physically present. Speaking to people either on the phone or through social media can shift your mindset and motivation more than ever before,” she says.

Small, Healthy Habits

Leonie focuses on maintaining small, healthy habits. “Do something every day that brings you joy. Even if that means having something small to look forward to, like having your favourite snacks around the house or changing into an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself,” she says.

Sophie Piper is embracing island life – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the Love Island beauty shows off her fantastic figure in a swimsuit during a tropical vacation at Kandima Maldives with Josh Ritchie. “Island life,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps taken at the picturesque resort. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Doesn't Go Under the Knife

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”
