Not only has she had to do it in the public eye, but the talented actress and singer has overcome an eating disorder, addiction, and health battles. "I was left with brain damage, and I still deal with the effects of that today," she said to Women’s Health. Today, she’s looking happy, healthy, and confident. What’s her secret to living a healthier lifestyle? Here’s a look into some of her healthy habits.


1. She’s worked on her relationship with food

Demi has been incredibly open about her challenge with eating healthy over the years and maintaining a good relationship with food. With the help of professionals, treatment, and a lot of hard work, she has built a healthier relationship with food and continues to grow, trying to maintain a good relationship.

2. She is mentally strong

She’s worked hard to stay in a mentally strong place. “I wouldn’t change my path because I don’t have any regrets,” she said in a 2023 appearance on Andy Cohen’s Sirius XM show. “When I think about things, the closest thing that I get to regret is when I overdosed… that overdose caused me a lot of… it actually caused a disability. I have vision impairment and hearing impairment to this day.”

Getting to a mentally and physically strong place can help overcome a lot. It’s been an essential part of what has helped Demi face her addiction issues head on, bringing her past it and continuing to help her maintain her strength and find other outlets for stress relief.

She continues to overcome challenges. “It’s a daily constant reminder. You know, anytime I look at something, like, I have blind spots in my vision when I look at your face," Demi told Andy Cohen. "And so it’s a constant reminder to stay on the right path because I never want that to happen again.”
