Devlina Kumar recently hit the gym. And she had a very non-traditional workout outfit on. She shared a video on Instagram of herself lifting weights. In it, Kumar wore a gorgeous sari. She captioned the post, “So My kind of Valentine’s Day and Saraswati Pujo together. How could I not workout on the Day of love. Also How could I not wear a yellow saree on Saraswati pujo. So Had to combine these two and loved it. Ps:- Saree main Naree, who lifts.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Devlina Kumar stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

Kumar opened up about her diet and exercise with Telegraph India. She says that she is limiting the amount of sugar in her diet. “I weighed 82 kg in college but gradually realised I had to be fit and feel confident about who I am,” she says. “Working out is a part of my lifestyle now. I am a foodie and I love sweets. This year, I have successfully limited my sugar intake. I went from consuming something sweet everyday to twice a week only.”
2. She Works Out Regularly
Kumar is making exercise a priority. She tells Telegraph India that she is trying to workout on a regular basis, especially after she slips up. “I was on a family trip to Europe earlier this year, where my workout regime got a little off track and I gained 3 kg. But once I was back, I took three months to shed that. It is still not easy for me, but I try to follow my routine.”
3. She Does Squats

Kumar also likes to do squats to keep herself in shape. In the previous video, she is seen doing squats with a barbell. Piedmont.org states that squats are a great exercise to do. “Squats are a compound, multi-joint movement, Hardwick explains, which means they exercise several muscles groups. When you perform a squat, you’re working your calves, quads, hamstrings, glutes, core and part of your back. A squat has more overall benefits than, say, a bicep curl, which strengthens an isolated area.”
4. She Runs
Kumar likes to run to keep herself in shape. She shared this video on Instagram of herself at the gym. In it, Kumar is seen running back and forth. She captioned the post, “Saturday vibes.. Supersets in the gym after outdoor cycling!” FloTrack.org states that running has a lot of benefits. “Running and jogging is an aerobic exercise, and you’re working out both your heart and lungs while doing so. This will also lead to a lower resting heart rate, lower bad cholesterol in your blood and lower blood pressure. You don’t need to run an obscene amount of miles every day to get these benefits, either. Those who just run a couple of minutes a day decrease their risk of cardiovascular death by 58 percent. If you have a hard time running, you can still give your heart a workout by jogging or walking.”
5. She Weight Lifts
As you can see from her recent video, Kumar loves weightlifting to stay in shape. The Mayo Clinic says that strength training has a lot of benefits. “By stressing your bones, strength training can increase bone density and reduce the risk of osteoporosis. Strength training can help you manage or lose weight, and it can increase your metabolism to help you burn more calories. Strength training can reduce the signs and symptoms of many chronic conditions, such as arthritis, back pain, obesity, heart disease, depression and diabetes.”
