Read on to learn 5 of her diet and exercise tips, which keep her ready to hit the ballroom floor.
She Cooks
Dianne makes sure to eat a healthy diet, and one way she does so is by cooking. She tells Leicester Mercury that she picked this up from her mother. “I do really enjoy cooking and I’m always really interested in the Mediterranean diet,” Dianne said. “My mum is very health-conscious in terms of what products she uses. So I’ve grown up learning to cook good, hearty meals that are good for you, using natural ingredients.”
She Believes In Moderation

While Dianne does eat a healthy diet, she doesn’t like to restrict herself too much. She told Leicester Mercury that she believes in moderation. “I eat as healthily as I can – but I’m only human and I love my chocolate,” Dianne admits. “I still have a drink every now and then, so it’s not like I don’t do any of that stuff. But I do realise the effect it has on my body. The more in tune you are with your body, the more you realise what you’re putting into it does have an effect on what you get out of it.”
She Weight Trains

Dianne shared some of her favorite workouts with Express. She is a big fan of lifting weights. “Dancing is obviously my number one choice when it comes to exercise,” Dianne says. “It’s a great way to get a cardio and weight-bearing workout. But I combine it with weight training for muscle strengthening. For me, strength training helps keep me moving well by supporting bone density, and helps me dance for longer.”
She Switches Up Her Workouts”

To make sure she doesn’t get bored, Dianne likes to change up her workouts. “Sticking to the same routine can become tiresome and boring after a while,” she explains to Express. “So to stay motivated, I make sure I keep changing things up. I vary my weekly workout regime by incorporating hot yoga and pilates, and love going on long hikes with my family and friends.”
She Gets Enough Protein

A big part of Dianne’s diet is ensuring that she eats enough protein. “With my intense dance schedule, it’s important to ensure I get enough protein to help fuel the growth, repair and maintenance of my muscle mass,” she explains in her Express interview. “I drink protein shakes just before my workout, made with milk and nut butter for added flavour.”
