Doechii Rocks Two-Piece in "Anxiety" Music Video

Doechii is on a career high right now. She became just the third female artist to win Best Rap Album at the Grammys. Her songs "Alter Ego" and "Denial Is A River" are topping the charts. And she recently released the video for her song, "Anxiety." Doechii looked amazing in the video, and rocked a two-piece white swimsuit. She shared some photos from the shoot on Instagram. Doechii opened up about her career in an interview with Cosmopolitan. She says that she wants to inspire people, especially those who look like her. "I was desperately seeking artists that looked like me and that thought like me," she says. "There weren't many. I needed it so badly that I was like, 'If I can't find this, I'm going to become this.'"

Doechii makes sure to work hard when it comes to her career. She tells Cosmopolitan that her mother gave her this attitude. "She would always make me show up for myself even when I didn't feel like it," Doechii said. "Even when I lost interest in commitments, she still made me honor them. She also wouldn't judge me when I wanted to try something else. She was very supportive of me pivoting, and now today, I can pivot. I owe that to her."

Doechii talked about how supportive her family is in her Cosmopolitan interview. "They're always keeping me grounded. Most of the time, I don't talk about work with them. I was in the car with my family and my team, in a dress looking fab, and my sister chose that moment to ask if I farted. Like, number one, no I didn't, and number two, why would you say that? Like, I'm a superstar. I don't fart!² I'm just Jaylah to them."

Doechii is all about doing what she wants. She told Cosmopolitan that she wants to stay true to herself and not pressure herself to do certain things. "With everything that I do in my life, I don't have nobody in mind but me," she said. "I like to fuck things up because to me, it looks cooler that way. I gravitated toward the face tape because it's supposed to be hidden and it's not. I'm that type of person. I like to turn my shirts inside out. I like to wear my pants backward. My love for imperfection shows up in my beauty and fashion a lot."

Doechii isn't afraid to stand up to haters on the internet, especially when it comes to her looks. After getting a lot of questions about plastic surgery, she called them out in this TikTok. "I'm gonna keep it so real with you. You should already be out the door because I've already had cosmetic enhancements since like 2021. Y'all really have to stop normalizing making comments like these and just let women do whatever the f–k they want to do with their bodies."
