Draya Michele In Workout Onesie Says “Shine On”

Draya Michele is in her third trimester and ready to pop! The Basketball Wives star, 39, shared a picture of herself wearing a one-piece workout outfit with matching headband, posing in front of a mirror. “Shine on… #32weeks #pregnant #thirdtrimester #8months #babybump #bumpsuit #maternity,” she captioned the post. As an actress and entrepreneur Michele is always on the move—here’s how what her health and wellness routine looks like.

1. Growing Her Own Produce

Draya.Michele.1Draya Michele/Instagram

Michele started growing her own fruits and vegetables during the COVID lockdowns. “My health is really important to me and I work out a lot. But I know it doesn’t just end there,” she told Essence. “Diet is important and I wanted to make sure I had access to fresh fruits and vegetables at all times. I also wanted to ensure I was eating what is in season.”

2. Workout Routine

Michele walked five miles a day to shift her baby weight. “I used to be an occasional gym rat whenever I felt out of shape,” she told Andscape. “But once I got pregnant, I needed to make it part of my regular routine. I wanted a hobby that was constructive, so I started going to the gym. I love all cardio-type workouts. Cardio helps me burn off fat and reach my goals.”

3. A Place of Calm

Even though Michele struggled with her home garden at first, it has proved to be a source of calm for the actress. “I tried to wing it and plant on my own at first. My spacing was off. Some plants were exposed to too much sunlight and it was a bit disastrous,” she told Essence. “Then I went down a YouTube rabbit whole and began to learn the proper gardening methods. There is so much information out there and it will save you from having to attend plant funerals. So sad. The space itself is calming. It gives me a sense of peace and a place to think. I also love seeing the transformation of plants to fruit. It is so rewarding. Sometimes I come outside and full vegetables have grown overnight. I’m just so excited when things like that happen.”

4. Skincare Routine

draya.michele.4Draya Michele/Instagram

Michele’s approach to skincare can be a little all-or-nothing. “I’m the girl that will give myself an extreme facial at home, or I’ll go get a facial,” she told Who What Wear. “But I’m also the girl who, after a rough night, will fall asleep with a full face of makeup on, which is bad, but I’m definitely guilty of it. But it all depends on how much time I’ve allotted to care for my skin.”

5. Time Management Skills

Michele says the greatest lesson she has learned as a mother and entrepreneur is working out how to balance everything skillfully. “I learned time management,” she told Who What Wear. “You have to be able to prioritize what’s important to you, and if you’re going to follow your passions, you have to accept that you’re going to be busy, and you’re going to have to prioritize for the things you love most.”

2. She Controls Her Portions

Michele tells FashionBombDaily.com that she isn’t on any specific diet. In fact, she admits that she’s not the healthiest eater. Rather, she practices portion control with her meals. “I try to cook as much as I can, and I don’t necessarily cook healthy, but I use very small portions to keep the calories at bay,” she said.

3. She Keeps Indulgences to Once a Week

Michele tells FashionBombDaily.com that she isn’t always the healthiest eater. She says that she does indulge, but tries to keep them for only once in a while. “I love soda, but my skin and body don’t,” she says. “I’m a cheater about once a week.” “Switching from regular to diet soda may offer a short term cut in calories, but your body won’t be fooled for long,” registered dietitian Kristin Kirkpatrick, MS, RD, LD, tells the Cleveland Clinic. “Research suggests that your body reacts to certain nonnutritive foods, including the artificial sweeteners in diet soda, in ways that may actually harm your health.”

4. She Runs On The Treadmill

Michele spilled some of her wellness secrets to Radar Online. She says that she likes to work out at home, and tries to do a cardio session each day. “I am naturally skinny but I stay on the treadmill in my house,” Michele says. “I watch the clock for the entire 45 minutes like a hawk. Michele has amazing skin, and she takes care of it. She revealed some of her secrets to Radar Online. One of them is protecting her skin from the sun’s rays. “I wear sun screen every day, 50 or more because I believe it is a fountain of youth,” she explains. One "other key to effective sunscreen use is ensuring the correct application and amount. Most people aren't using as much sunscreen as they should. At least two tablespoons of sunscreen, or 1 ounce, should be used to cover all surfaces of the skin, except the eyelids," says the Mayo Clinic. "It is also important to reapply sunscreen at least every two hours, or any time after sweating or swimming. Although some sunscreens may be listed as water-resistant, none is truly waterproof."

Draya focuses on a healthy, balanced diet “I am six months pescatarian. I’ve tried to limit my chicken and red meat consumption a lot. I try to drink a lot of water. I try to work out. My downfalls are sweets. I really love sweets. And alcohol goes with partying. If I’m going to drink, I try to diet. If I’m not going to diet, I try to skip dessert,” she told BET. “Dieting is always going to be a struggle, so that’s why you have to balance it with working out. I don’t eat whatever I want, but if I do eat whatever I want, I at least got to work out to make it even.”

Draya Michele is a popular TV personality, model, and fashion designer. She’s best known for appearing on Basketball Wives LA. She also has several clothing lines, including a swimwear line called Mint Swim. Michele modeled a piece from her line in a recent Instagram post. In it, she posed poolside in a red swimsuit. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Draya Michele stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Limits Things In Her Diet

Draya.Michele.2Draya Michele/Instagram

Michele opened up about her diet in an interview with BET. She says that she is limiting certain things. However, Michele also says that what she cuts out will depend on what she’s doing that day. “My downfalls are sweets. I really love sweets. And alcohol goes with partying. If I’m going to drink, I try to diet. If I’m not going to diet, I try to skip dessert

2. She Limits Meat

Draya.Michele.1Draya Michele/Instagram

In the same BET interview, Michele revealed that she has made a change to her diet. “I am six months pescatarian. I’ve tried to limit my chicken and red meat consumption a lot.” According to the Mayo Clinic, eating a plant-based or pescatarian diet has a lot of benefits. “Research shows that people who eat red meat are at a higher risk of death from heart disease, stroke or diabetes. Processed meats also make the risk of death from these diseases go up. And what you don't eat also can harm your health. Diets low in nuts, seeds, seafood, fruits and vegetables can also make your health risks go up. The good news is that even eating less red and processed meat has a positive effect on health.”

3. She Eats Healthy Breakfasts

In this YouTube video, Michele shared some of her tips for staying motivated each day. She says that a good breakfast is something that helps her out. “Tip number one, I like to get up, and I like to have a cup of coffee to get me going, and a nice, neat breakfast,” she says. “I can’t have anything unless I have my coffee.”

4. She Uses Her Apple Watch

Moscow,25,January,2024,,Blue,Apple,Watch,,Natural,Light,,Closeup,Shutterstock

For Michele, having an Apple Watch helps her workout. In her YouTube video, she says that this is another thing that motivates her. “Number two is, if it’s gonna be a workout day, I definitely need to make sure I charge my watch. I have gotten so used to working out with my watch, and it tracking my heart rate, my calories, my activity in general that I don’t feel as productive doing a workout without it.”

5. She Works Out With Music

Michele revealed in her YouTube video that a good playlist is essential for her workouts. “Step number three, the right kind of music,” she says. “You gotta have your good tunes, right? Depending on what type of day it is or just how I feel, I definitely change music. I never workout to the same type of music. I listen to all genres of music.” Reid Health states that music is a great way to motivate you to workout. “Music competes with the sensations of working out — an escalating heartbeat sweat and that ‘wrung out’ muscle feeling — and often wins your attention, distracting you from the negative physical feelings, says Scientific American. Because music elevates mood, it can motivate you to keep going through physical discomfort.

2. She Says Your Body Craves What You Feed It

“I have been on every diet in the world, so I don't like diets because they only seem to last for so long - and you really mess with your metabolism. It's more about balance and moderation. If I deprive myself of things, I tend to go wild afterwards,” she told NetDoctor. “I think your body tends to crave what you give it. If you're going to eat a lot of crisps and French fries, you're going to crave that. If you drink a lot of water, eat more rice, pulses, salads and fish your body is going to crave that, too. If you want to eat a bit more desert, have a little bit if it's going to satisfy your sweet tooth. It's balance."

3. She Works Out for Her “Frame of Mind”

“If I'm honest with you, I workout more for my frame of mind and to prepare me for the shows. I really love and care about my job and the live shows, and I want to arrive feeling as though I'm ready to take on anything and give everything. And workouts help me get in that frame of mind,” she told NetDoctor.

4. Nicole Has Done Yoga

Nicole has posted pictures of herself doing yoga. “Establishing a home yoga practice is a great way to keep your body and mind at ease. Yes, it can sometimes test your patience, and you might not be able to touch the floor during that first — or 15th session. But the beauty of it is if you keep at it, you’ll eventually loosen the tight grip that stress has on your body,” says the Cleveland Clinic.

What would she tell her younger self? "Try not sweat the small stuff and don't care so much about what other people think. Hold on to the right things and let go to the things that aren't serving you. Be kinder to yourself,” she told NetDoctor.

7. Nicole Values Mental Health

But a mental health concern becomes a mental illness when ongoing signs and symptoms cause frequent stress and affect your ability to function," says the Mayo Clinic.

Kristin Cavallari is a reality TV and fashion icon. Since she debuted on Laguna Beach, people have clamoured for her fashion and beauty secrets. Cavallari recently shared her eye makeup secrets on Instagram, after several people asked for them. She captioned the post, “This is for the girlies in my DMs asking about this eye every time I do it. Sorry the lighting is awful. I also don’t know why the audio isn’t in sync for half of it 🫣 but here ya go 💗”

She's Less Strict With Her Diet

Cavallari has written several cookbooks, and they have changed as her diet has changed. While promoting her book, Truly Simple with EatingWell, she revealed that her diet is less strict. “I've gotten to a point in my life where not everything has to be so perfect anymore,” Cavallari said. “I used to be so strict about what I was putting in my body. I'm still very healthy and very conscious of it, but I've gotten a little bit more lax. True Roots and True Comfort had nothing ‘white’ in them: no white flour, no white sugar, no white salt. But in Truly Simple, I bend a little bit in a few of the recipes, which really reflects where I am in my life and my new way of eating. Everything is a little bit more relaxed around here now.’

She Loves Cauliflower

Cavallari tells EatingWell that she loves making foods with cauliflower. “I love cauliflower because I think it's very versatile, and there's actually a Sweet Harissa Cauliflower recipe in Truly Simple that's my absolute favorite cauliflower recipe on the planet. If you've ever been to True Food Kitchen, their cauliflower was the inspiration behind it. There's this sweet harissa dressing that's on it, and there's little chopped-up dates in it, so it has that nice balance between sweet and savory. It's the absolute best.”

She Loves Salad

Krisitn Cavallari/Instagram

Cavallari likes to make salads. She shared one of her favorite recipes with EatingWell. “This salad has a few of my favorite things: salmon (which has omega-3s and is so, so good for you), bacon (no explanation needed), avocado (healthy fats), and spicy tomatillo ranch dressing (just yum). Together, they create culinary heaven. If you aren't familiar with tomatillos, they're similar to tomatoes but are slightly less sweet and are perfect when drenched in ranch.”

She Works With A Trainer

Cavallari tells Us Weekly that a lot of her gym sessions are with her personal trainer. “He kicks my ass,” she says. “He pushes me really hard. He has me actually lifting really heavy weight, the heaviest weight I’ve ever lifted in my entire life. I feel the best I ever have. I feel like I’m the strongest I’ve ever been.”

She Shared Her Eye Makeup Trick

Cavallari shared some of her wellness secrets in an interview with Us Weekly. She says that consistency is one of her biggest priorities. “My goal is sort of, right now, just to maintain the muscle that I have,” she says. “I’m really petite. I have no hips. I’m just small. And so if I don’t work out for like a week or two, I feel like all my muscle goes away. So it is about consistency for me.”

Rebeca Andrade is an Olympic gymnast. She is the most decorated Olympic athlete from Brazil, having won two gold medals, three silvers, and a bronze. Andrade recently shared some highlights of her native Brazil on Instagram. In some of them, she posed in a swimsuit while wading. Andrade captioned the post, “SC-&-RS🏕️🌅❤️ Being free is a paradox. It's committing to the life you want, without running away from the work that it entails. It's building freedom every day, with conscious choices and, mainly, with the acceptance that freedom is not the absence of limits, but the autonomy to know which ones are worth it and which ones are not. Being free is being willing to carry the weight of your own life and still find it funny.”

She Swims

In her Instagram post, Andrade is seen swimming. The Cleveland Clinic says that swimming has a lot of benefits. “Swimming takes much less of a toll on your body than, say, running or riding a bike. That’s because exercising in water lessens the impact of your body weight on your joints.”

She Does Gymnastics

Gymnastics is the main way Andrade stays in shape. British Gymnastics states that the sport has a lot of benefits. “When you take part in gymnastics, or any sport for that matter, your body releases chemicals called endorphins. These also help to trigger a positive feeling in the body which can have a positive impact on your happiness and mental wellbeing. This can help to combat feelings of anxiety and depression.”

She Prioritizes Safety

Andrade talked about her training approach in an interview with the Olympics website. She says that she and her coach prioritize her safety, and that she will skip floor sessions if she isn’t able to do it. "I talk a lot with my coach and we trust in each other. We always try to be really safe, and do floor in the correct moments. He believes in me. I'm never going to lie to not do it. So, when I really tell him that I can't do it, it's because I cannot and he always respects that.”

She Sets Goals

In her Olympics website interview, Andrade talked about her commitment and goal setting. Specifically, she talked about her goal to make the Olympic team. “The other [goal], which is the main one, is for us to qualify as a team,” Andrade said. “I think it will be very important for me, for my team, and the focus is on that, whatever happens there, the result is a consequence of our work, of our commitment. But I really want to be there with my team and be happy and healthy.”

She Cooks

Andrade makes sure to eat healthy. She also likes to cook a lot of her own meals. She shared some of her favorite things to make in an interview with NPR. “There was one that was with potatoes and cheese, chicken. There’s cake. There’s cookies. A lot of things.”

Brandi Glanville has never been one to hold back, whether on reality TV or her unfiltered podcast. Best known for her time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the US and UK versions of Celebrity Big Brother, and The Traitors, Glanville always speaks her mind. Her podcast, Brandi Glanville Unfiltered, recently stirred up some drama when she called out Real Housewives stars for struggling on The Traitors and suggested the show stop casting them. Many fans saw this as subtle shade toward Phaedra Parks, who excelled in the previous season.

Beyond the headlines, Glanville has shared glimpses into her personal wellness routine, from skincare secrets to unconventional self-care methods. Here’s a look at how she stays feeling and looking her best.

She Uses Eye Patches

One thing that Glanville does to take care of her skin is use under-eye patches. In this Instagram post, she revealed the brand she used on Celebrity Big Brother. Glanville captioned it, “One of the #1 questions we get from fans since leaving #bigbrother is what brand of under eye patches were we wearing constantly on the show...The answer is @peterthomasrothofficial!! They are amaze! #ThanksMarissa 💋 (Blogging about all the products, will be posting on @bbeautyunfltrd soon).”

She Walks

Brandi is seen walking her dog

Brandi Glanville/Instagram

Glanville likes to walk her dogs to keep herself in shape. She shared this video on Instagram of herself and her pup walking in Los Angeles. Glanville captioned the post, “On our way to do some podcasting.” Harvard Health says that walking is very beneficial. “Walking can help protect you during cold and flu season. A study of over 1,000 men and women found that those who walked at least 20 minutes a day, at least 5 days a week, had 43% fewer sick days than those who exercised once a week or less. And if they did get sick, it was for a shorter duration, and their symptoms were milder.”

She Has A Dog

As you can see from the previous Instagram post, Glanville has pet dogs. And according to Harvard Health, this can be beneficial. “A growing body of solid research shows that owning a dog can: provide companionship, help you be more active, make kids calmer, more secure, and more responsible, improve the lives of older individuals, help you be calmer, more mindful, and more present in your life, make you more social and less isolated, ease stress.”

She Worked With A Breath Coach

Glanville revealed to Us Weekly that she works with a breath coach to help with her mental health. “I’m still doing cosmetic stuff, but at the same time trying to fix myself. I eat better and breathe and actually exercise. I’m getting there. I just started with this journey, but I can actually do things. My body can do things now that I couldn’t do five years ago.”

She Uses CellSound

Glanville revealed to People that she used the CellSound treatment on her stomach. "I mean, to be honest, I haven't worn a crop top in years, and I literally feel comfortable going out in a crop top, which is so bizarre," she says. "Not that I feel like everyone should do that, but I can go work out with a crop top on and not feel like I have my mommy stomach and I shouldn't sit down. So it's definitely empowered me in that aspect."
