Draya Michele is in her third trimester and ready to pop! The Basketball Wives star, 39, shared a picture of herself wearing a one-piece workout outfit with matching headband, posing in front of a mirror. “Shine on… #32weeks #pregnant #thirdtrimester #8months #babybump #bumpsuit #maternity,” she captioned the post. As an actress and entrepreneur Michele is always on the move—here’s how what her health and wellness routine looks like.
1. Growing Her Own Produce

Michele started growing her own fruits and vegetables during the COVID lockdowns. “My health is really important to me and I work out a lot. But I know it doesn’t just end there,” she told Essence. “Diet is important and I wanted to make sure I had access to fresh fruits and vegetables at all times. I also wanted to ensure I was eating what is in season.”
2. Workout Routine
Michele walked five miles a day to shift her baby weight. “I used to be an occasional gym rat whenever I felt out of shape,” she told Andscape. “But once I got pregnant, I needed to make it part of my regular routine. I wanted a hobby that was constructive, so I started going to the gym. I love all cardio-type workouts. Cardio helps me burn off fat and reach my goals.”
3. A Place of Calm
Even though Michele struggled with her home garden at first, it has proved to be a source of calm for the actress. “I tried to wing it and plant on my own at first. My spacing was off. Some plants were exposed to too much sunlight and it was a bit disastrous,” she told Essence. “Then I went down a YouTube rabbit whole and began to learn the proper gardening methods. There is so much information out there and it will save you from having to attend plant funerals. So sad. The space itself is calming. It gives me a sense of peace and a place to think. I also love seeing the transformation of plants to fruit. It is so rewarding. Sometimes I come outside and full vegetables have grown overnight. I’m just so excited when things like that happen.”
4. Skincare Routine

Michele’s approach to skincare can be a little all-or-nothing. “I’m the girl that will give myself an extreme facial at home, or I’ll go get a facial,” she told Who What Wear. “But I’m also the girl who, after a rough night, will fall asleep with a full face of makeup on, which is bad, but I’m definitely guilty of it. But it all depends on how much time I’ve allotted to care for my skin.”
5. Time Management Skills
Michele says the greatest lesson she has learned as a mother and entrepreneur is working out how to balance everything skillfully. “I learned time management,” she told Who What Wear. “You have to be able to prioritize what’s important to you, and if you’re going to follow your passions, you have to accept that you’re going to be busy, and you’re going to have to prioritize for the things you love most.”
