DWTS’ Alix Earle In Workout Gear Does “Whisk Challenge”

The TikTok star was announced as a contestant on the 34th season

Dancing With The Stars is premiering its 34th season in September, but two cast members have already been announced. Robert Irwin and Alix Earle, the latter whom was announced today. Alix shared a new video on Instagram of herself practicing for the dancing she’s about to do. In it, she did the samba whisk challenge while in a two-piece white set of workout gear. Alix wrote in the video, “Me trying to do the whisk. It’s okay. Guess I’ll learn this season on DWTS!”

One thing Alix is known for is sharing her mental health journey on social media. She revealed to HollywoodLife that she wanted to show others that they weren’t alone in their struggles. “It’s never easy to put your insecurities out there, but I’m so happy that by sharing my acne and mental health journey I am able to impact so many people. I was nervous at first, but after receiving numerous DM’s telling me how much these videos meant to me, I knew it was worth it.”

She Pushes Herself To Workout

Alix makes sure to workout on a consistent basis. She tells E! News that she makes sure to motivate herself to do so. “It often feels like there’s not enough time in the day, but I never regret getting some physical activity in. I tell myself all I have to do is get myself to the gym and then once I’m there I feel more motivated to workout. When I don’t have time to go to the gym or a class, I love something as simple as taking a walk around my neighborhood.”

She Uses A Treadmill

Alix shared some of her go-to workouts in this Instagram video. To start, she gets on the treadmill. Alix captioned the post, “Workout gurus don’t come for me this is just what I do 🏃🤸🏼‍♀️” According to research from Healthy Talbot, treadmill workouts are very beneficial. “Treadmill working is an aerobic/ cardio exercise. Studies demonstrate that aerobic exercise can minimize the risk of heart diseases. Moreover, they can strengthen your heart muscles. This helps to lower blood pressure and allows the heart to pump blood more efficiently. Most doctors recommend aerobic exercise to people suffering from cardiovascular diseases.”

She Uses Weights

Alix likes to strength train to keep herself in shape. In the previous Instagram video, she uses weights and weighted machines. The Mayo Clinic says that strength training has a lot of benefits, including weight loss. “Strength training can help you manage or lose weight, and it can increase your metabolism to help you burn more calories.”

She Does Squats

Another workout that Alix likes to do is squats. In her workout Instagram video, she does them with a weight as well as pulses. Since they are a lower body workout, they have a lot of benefits. The Cleveland Clinic says, “A strong lower body is important for athletes, yes, but not just for athletes. Your lower body fuels your ability to walk, run, jump … everything, really. It also generates power for upper-body movements and all kinds of other activities.”
