Eiza González is turning heads with her latest gym selfie, showcasing her sculpted abs in a sleek grey two-piece workout set. As she powers through her session, listening to Charlie XCX and staying fit for her role in Three Body Problem, Eiza is proof that dedication pays off. But what’s her secret? From her love of weight and interval training to her commitment to daily movement and a plant-based diet, Eiza's approach to fitness and self-care is all about balance and consistency. Here's how you can incorporate her healthiest habits into your own routine and achieve a body that feels as good as it looks.

1. Focus on Weight and Interval Training

Eiza is a fan of weight and interval training at the gym. "This body needs to be happy by exercising, because I feel so good when I exercise. I go between three workouts,” she told Shape. “I do a lot of weight lifting with high weight, low reps — that's something that this Latina butt needs to get toned. She added that also does “a lot of intervals: cardio mixed with movement.”

2. Add in Pilates Sessions

“I swear by Pilates, and I die by Pilates,” Eiza told Shape. “It works out muscles that I don't work out ever. Like this little one under my boob, between my fourth and sixth left ribs.” Research explains that Pilates exercises are designed to increase muscle strength, endurance, and flexibility, and to improve posture and balance.

3. Give Yourself a Cheat Day

Eiza eats healthy, most of the time. "One day a week, I eat whatever I want. That's my one rule,” she said. “I'll eat brownies. I'll eat pizza. I'll eat all the foods I want to eat because that's what this body needs to be happy.”

4. But Move Your Body Everyday

Eiza recommends daily movement. "I like to keep moving every day, not necessarily 'work out' every day, but keep moving," she explained to Harper's Bazaar Australia. "It doesn't have to be intense, just getting the body some blood flow and not staying stagnant."

5. Drink Lots of Water

"I have to drink water all day, every day! Water has become such a basic life need for me because I travel so much and that dehydrates you a lot. From the change of weather to the plane, everything can be so harsh on you," Eiza told Harper’s Bazaar. The Mayo Clinic explains that hydration is important for a variety of reasons. Water helps get rid of waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature normal, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.

6. Incorporate Lots of Plants Into Your Diet

Eiza touts the benefits of a plant-based diet. "I recently became plant-based as I'm doing a little bit of a switcheroo in my life with food and I've loved it," she explained to Harper’s Bazaar. "I'm trying not to eat as much sugar.” She also tries to keep sugar, coffee, and alcohol to a minimum. "I'm trying to live a more organic and responsible life, in terms of how I eat. I try not to touch sugar. I'm trying to bring down the levels of coffee that I drink. I love coffee but it's something that's bad for your lymphatic system."
