Elena Vesnina is getting her body ready for the court – in her workout gear. In a new social media post the tennis star hits the gym, showing off her fit figure in exercise clothes. “Some preparation before grass court season,” she captioned the Instagram post. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1. A Changed Approach to Health

Vesnina recently changed her approach to preparing for competition. "I changed this kind of philosophy for myself five or six years ago, it paid off a couple of years later than I thought but definitely I started to be more professional in myself, eating healthy, recovering, really focusing on some big goals," she told The Sydney Morning Herald.

2. Taking Care of Her Body

"Life in tennis is not long, but Venus and Serena are actually proving otherwise. Now women's tennis has improved and developed so much with all the professionalism, taking care of your body,” she added. "Everyone is travelling with a physiotherapist, massage therapist, we're having treatment every day, we're working a lot in the gym, our bodies are getting stronger and stronger every year.”

3. Core, Stability, and Balance

"We're trying to improve strength and we're trying to improve speed, and we're trying to improve core, everything, stability and balance. It's a lot of things to work, it's a lot of things to think about but otherwise it's such an exciting process to see your body improving, and it doesn't matter how old you are,” she said.

4. Bike Riding

Elena rides bikes when she isn’t on the court. The Cleveland Clinic explains that biking, a low-impact aerobic exercise, is great for building muscle, improving strength and flexibility, and improving balance. It can also boost mental health and help other health conditions, including arthritis.

5. Strength Training

In her recent post, Elena prepares for the “grass court season” by doing strength training exercises at the gym. According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Victoria Azarenka, a world-class tennis player, is always preparing for her next big match, and she recently shared a glimpse of her routine on Instagram. As she geared up for the US Open, she proudly showed off her new workout gear with the caption, “I’ve got the shoes, I’ve got the dress, that makes me…ready for the @usopen ✨.” From her disciplined approach to injury prevention to her love of various workouts, Azarenka’s fitness regimen reflects the dedication of a true champion. Here’s how she stays in top shape.

1. She Plays Tennis

Tennis is one of the ways that Azarenka stays in shape. The sport has a lot of health benefits. The Columbia Association states, “Tennis is an ace for stress relief too, which boosts your mood and keeps your heart healthy. And we can’t skimp over the warm and fuzzy traits it instills, like discipline, patience and teamwork, all in a healthy social outlet. A study done at Southern Connecticut State University even found that tennis players scored higher in vigor, optimism and self-esteem and lower in depression, anger, confusion, anxiety and tension than other athletes and non-athletes.”

2. She’s Disciplined

Azarenka talked about her training secrets in an interview with Elite Daily. She says that having the right mindset is important. Azarenka also says that she is very disciplined, and that has helped with her career. “I think it depends on what you want to achieve. If you want to be a champion, then I think something you have to really work at is work ethic [because] it is fundamental to bringing all the other aspects together.”

3. She Focuses On Injury Prevention

Being a professional athlete means that Azarenka has to be concerned about potential injuries. She tells Elite Daily that she did a lot of research to see what she can improve on. “For me it was a lot of educating myself to just understand, first of all, how the body works so I knew what to do. I'm constantly reading and learning injury prevention. Basically, injury prevention is discipline. It was also a lot about mindset, 'cause I hate doing it -- like, I absolutely hate stretching. But once I started to understand it a little bit more, it became fun for me.”

4. She Strength Trains

Azarenka shared some of her favorite workouts with Elite Daily. She says that strength training is a big part of her routine. “I do power exercises like medicine ball throws and I recently, like a year ago, started doing olympic weightlifting. because it's the most complex movement with the most explosiveness and power in it to help you extend faster and get to the first step faster.”

5. She Does A Variety Of Workouts

Azarenka shared some more of her favorite workouts with Elite Daily. She does a lot of different things to keep herself in shape. “I love dancing. I just went to a dance class in New York. It's called Ratchet Zumba. I knew about Zumba, but I didn't know about Ratchet Zumba... Making your body think and learn different movements always helps you with coordination and flexibility. I love playing basketball, I love swimming, I do paddle-boarding. I do a lot.”

Daria Kasatkina is vacationing in the Maldives – in her two-piece workout gear. In a new social media post the tennis star shows off her amazing body in an exercise set (and swimsuit!) while taking a much-needed break from tennis in the tropics. “Season 2024 is over, and it’s been great🙏🏽 Now living life in paradise🏝️ Loving this place,” she captioned the Instagram photos. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Tennis

Tennis is Daria’s main form of fitness. “The only thing I love about tennis is tennis itself. It's the game of tennis I like so much to play. You know, to hear the sound of the ball coming from the racquet, so like the sound of the ball touching the ground and you know this beautiful feeling of hitting the ball,” she told We Are Tennis.

Coffee

Daria is a coffee drinker. Here she is holding a cup while on vacation. According to the Cleveland Clinic, there are several benefits of drinking coffee in moderation. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Ice Skating

When she’s not on the court, you can find Daria ice skating. “Making sure she knows how to skate⛸️👻 @natalia_zabiiako 💜 #love,” she captioned a post from the rink. According to Harvard Medical School, ice skating will burn up to 200 calories per hour. It is also great for joint and muscle health and helps improve balance and coordination.

Stretching

Daria understands the importance of stretching before and after playing tennis or exercising. “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints,” says Harvard Health. “Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.”

Strength Training

Daria lifts weights to keep her body ready for the court. Here she is during a strength training session. According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Tennis star Elena Rybakina went on a beautiful trip to Mexico, and shared the highlights on her social media. Rybakina, 24, shared an Instagram reel of the experience, including a short video of herself jumping rope in blue shorts and a white t-shirt. “Taking the best out of everything and focusing on the good. Gracias Mexico for making this stay memorable and cheering for us through all of sky’s mood swings 🇲🇽,” she captioned the post. Rybakina is the first Kazakhstani tennis player to ever win a major tournament—here’s what keeps her focused on the court.

1. Jump Rope

Young,Fit,Woman,Is,Taking,Jumping,Rope.Shutterstock

Rybakina jumps rope as part of her training, which is a highly effective cardio exercise. “You can jump rope at a slow, steady pace if you want to use it as low-impact, steady-state cardio or you can increase the intensity with techniques like high knees or double-unders (when the rope passes under the feet twice per jump) if you want to use it for HIIT-style training,” Mike Matthews, ISSA-certified personal trainer tells Nike.com. “Plus, if you’re pushed for time and looking for an effective full-body workout, jumping rope is an excellent solution.”

2. Wimbledon Success

Rybakina’s 2022 Wimbledon success inspired her to have confidence in her game. “I think of course I got all the experience at Wimbledon and it’s helping me now this time here in Australia and I know what to expect,” she told PA Media. “I already did it once and of course I got confident that I can do it again. I did really good preparation with the team. I’m not really surprised with the results. I’m happy. I’m just hungry to work and improve more.”

3. Ice Queen on the Court

Rybakina is known for her composure on the court, something she says gives her the edge against the competition. “I'm trying to be calm and not show if I'm upset or angry - no matter the situation,” she told Mind Set Win podcast. “It helps me and maybe also sometimes confuses the opponents, especially in the beginning when nobody knew me. It took them longer to figure out my weak spots. Maybe other players are too angry or showing too many emotions, they work to become calmer, for me it’s the opposite which is a bit rare.”

4. Adrenaline Junkie

Skydiving,PhotoShutterstock

Rybakina is a bit of an adrenaline junkie—although her team doesn't always approve. “I like cars but I don’t have my driver’s license yet, I just haven’t had time yet because I am always on the road,” she told Mail Online. “I really like roller coasters as well, and I have ridden quite a lot of them in America. After a tournament it’s sort of a treat. One of the things I want to do is jump out of an airplane, but my coaches are telling me this is not the right time. I think they are worried about the landing.”

5. Covid Chaos

Rybakina was forced to stop training during the pandemic lockdowns. “It was tough, because I was at home in Moscow with my family and the restrictions were very hard there,” she told Tennis Majors. “I couldn’t get out of the apartment for two and a half months — only with a special permit. I didn’t hold a racquet for two and a half months. I was just trying to do fitness as much as I could. I was following my diet. I was on the phone with my coach; we were watching some (of my old) matches together. It was a tough time, but also I enjoyed spending time with my family.”

Elina Svitolina is a very successful tennis player. She has won 17 WTA titles, and was previously ranked number three in the world. In May, Svitolina did an Instagram collaboration with Adidas. In it, she wore a yellow workout dress. Adidas captioned the post, “New gear calls for new fit checks.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Elina Svitolina stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Plays Tennis

Tennis is the main way Svitolina stays fit. Lee Health states that the sport has a lot of benefits. “Tennis utilizes upper, core, and lower body muscles – but it’s also one of the best cardiovascular and aerobic exercises you can do. Playing a few sets increases oxygen flow, circulation, and helps you fight back heart disease. That kind of physical workout also decreases lipids, which helps lower cholesterol.”

2. She Uses An Exercise Bike

Svitolina shared this video on Instagram of herself in the gym. In it, she is seen on an exercise bike. Svitolina captioned the post, “Back to work.” Penn State PRO Wellness states that exercise bikes have a lot of benefits. “Riding a stationary exercise bike is an efficient and effective way to burn calories and body fat while strengthening your heart, lungs, and muscles. Compared to some other types of cardio equipment, a stationary bicycle puts less stress on your joints, but it still provides an excellent aerobic workout.”

3. She Works Her Legs

Elina Svitolina.1Elina Svitolina/Instagram

Svitolina makes sure to not skip leg day. In the previous Instagram post, she is seen doing side lunges, using a leg press machine, and doing back leg lifts. Piedmont states that doing lower body workouts have a lot of benefits. “Having strong glutes, quadriceps, hamstrings and calf muscles gives your body a strong foundation and can: Tone your lower body muscles. Boost your metabolism as you increase muscle mass. Give you a higher calorie burn as you train larger muscle groups. Improve your balance. Strengthen your bones. Reduce joint pain.”

4. She Runs

Elina Svitolina.2Elina Svitolina/Instagram

Svitolina likes to run to stay in shape. She is seen doing sprints in both a pool and near a tire in her Instagram video. FloTrack states that running exercises have a lot of benefits. “Running and jogging is an aerobic exercise, and you’re working out both your heart and lungs while doing so. This will also lead to a lower resting heart rate, lower bad cholesterol in your blood and lower blood pressure. You don’t need to run an obscene amount of miles every day to get these benefits, either. Those who just run a couple of minutes a day decrease their risk of cardiovascular death by 58 percent. If you have a hard time running, you can still give your heart a workout by jogging or walking.”

5. She Does Planks

Svitolina also shared this workout video on Instagram. In it, she is seen holding a plank. Svitolina captioned the post, “Step by step.” The Cleveland Clinic states that planks are very effective. “Plank exercises work your core muscles, which are located between your pelvic floor and diaphragm. The area is also known as your trunk. These muscles support your movements and stabilize the spine.”

Kristin Cavallari is a reality TV and fashion icon. Since she debuted on Laguna Beach, people have clamoured for her fashion and beauty secrets. Cavallari recently shared her eye makeup secrets on Instagram, after several people asked for them. She captioned the post, “This is for the girlies in my DMs asking about this eye every time I do it. Sorry the lighting is awful. I also don’t know why the audio isn’t in sync for half of it 🫣 but here ya go 💗”

She's Less Strict With Her Diet

Kristin Cavallari/Instagram

Cavallari has written several cookbooks, and they have changed as her diet has changed. While promoting her book, Truly Simple with EatingWell, she revealed that her diet is less strict. “I've gotten to a point in my life where not everything has to be so perfect anymore,” Cavallari said. “I used to be so strict about what I was putting in my body. I'm still very healthy and very conscious of it, but I've gotten a little bit more lax. True Roots and True Comfort had nothing ‘white’ in them: no white flour, no white sugar, no white salt. But in Truly Simple, I bend a little bit in a few of the recipes, which really reflects where I am in my life and my new way of eating. Everything is a little bit more relaxed around here now.’

She Loves Cauliflower

Cavallari tells EatingWell that she loves making foods with cauliflower. “I love cauliflower because I think it's very versatile, and there's actually a Sweet Harissa Cauliflower recipe in Truly Simple that's my absolute favorite cauliflower recipe on the planet. If you've ever been to True Food Kitchen, their cauliflower was the inspiration behind it. There's this sweet harissa dressing that's on it, and there's little chopped-up dates in it, so it has that nice balance between sweet and savory. It's the absolute best.”

She Loves Salad

Krisitn Cavallari/Instagram

Cavallari likes to make salads. She shared one of her favorite recipes with EatingWell. “This salad has a few of my favorite things: salmon (which has omega-3s and is so, so good for you), bacon (no explanation needed), avocado (healthy fats), and spicy tomatillo ranch dressing (just yum). Together, they create culinary heaven. If you aren't familiar with tomatillos, they're similar to tomatoes but are slightly less sweet and are perfect when drenched in ranch.”

She Works With A Trainer

Cavallari tells Us Weekly that a lot of her gym sessions are with her personal trainer. “He kicks my ass,” she says. “He pushes me really hard. He has me actually lifting really heavy weight, the heaviest weight I’ve ever lifted in my entire life. I feel the best I ever have. I feel like I’m the strongest I’ve ever been.”

She Shared Her Eye Makeup Trick

Cavallari shared some of her wellness secrets in an interview with Us Weekly. She says that consistency is one of her biggest priorities. “My goal is sort of, right now, just to maintain the muscle that I have,” she says. “I’m really petite. I have no hips. I’m just small. And so if I don’t work out for like a week or two, I feel like all my muscle goes away. So it is about consistency for me.”

Rebeca Andrade is an Olympic gymnast. She is the most decorated Olympic athlete from Brazil, having won two gold medals, three silvers, and a bronze. Andrade recently shared some highlights of her native Brazil on Instagram. In some of them, she posed in a swimsuit while wading. Andrade captioned the post, “SC-&-RS🏕️🌅❤️ Being free is a paradox. It's committing to the life you want, without running away from the work that it entails. It's building freedom every day, with conscious choices and, mainly, with the acceptance that freedom is not the absence of limits, but the autonomy to know which ones are worth it and which ones are not. Being free is being willing to carry the weight of your own life and still find it funny.”

She Swims

In her Instagram post, Andrade is seen swimming. The Cleveland Clinic says that swimming has a lot of benefits. “Swimming takes much less of a toll on your body than, say, running or riding a bike. That’s because exercising in water lessens the impact of your body weight on your joints.”

She Does Gymnastics

Gymnastics is the main way Andrade stays in shape. British Gymnastics states that the sport has a lot of benefits. “When you take part in gymnastics, or any sport for that matter, your body releases chemicals called endorphins. These also help to trigger a positive feeling in the body which can have a positive impact on your happiness and mental wellbeing. This can help to combat feelings of anxiety and depression.”

She Prioritizes Safety

Andrade talked about her training approach in an interview with the Olympics website. She says that she and her coach prioritize her safety, and that she will skip floor sessions if she isn’t able to do it. "I talk a lot with my coach and we trust in each other. We always try to be really safe, and do floor in the correct moments. He believes in me. I'm never going to lie to not do it. So, when I really tell him that I can't do it, it's because I cannot and he always respects that.”

She Sets Goals

In her Olympics website interview, Andrade talked about her commitment and goal setting. Specifically, she talked about her goal to make the Olympic team. “The other [goal], which is the main one, is for us to qualify as a team,” Andrade said. “I think it will be very important for me, for my team, and the focus is on that, whatever happens there, the result is a consequence of our work, of our commitment. But I really want to be there with my team and be happy and healthy.”

She Cooks

Andrade makes sure to eat healthy. She also likes to cook a lot of her own meals. She shared some of her favorite things to make in an interview with NPR. “There was one that was with potatoes and cheese, chicken. There’s cake. There’s cookies. A lot of things.”

Brandi Glanville has never been one to hold back, whether on reality TV or her unfiltered podcast. Best known for her time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the US and UK versions of Celebrity Big Brother, and The Traitors, Glanville always speaks her mind. Her podcast, Brandi Glanville Unfiltered, recently stirred up some drama when she called out Real Housewives stars for struggling on The Traitors and suggested the show stop casting them. Many fans saw this as subtle shade toward Phaedra Parks, who excelled in the previous season.

Beyond the headlines, Glanville has shared glimpses into her personal wellness routine, from skincare secrets to unconventional self-care methods. Here’s a look at how she stays feeling and looking her best.

She Uses Eye Patches

They are amaze! #ThanksMarissa 💋 (Blogging about all the products, will be posting on @bbeautyunfltrd soon).”

She Walks

Brandi is seen walking her dog

Brandi Glanville/Instagram

Glanville likes to walk her dogs to keep herself in shape. She shared this video on Instagram of herself and her pup walking in Los Angeles. Glanville captioned the post, “On our way to do some podcasting.” Harvard Health says that walking is very beneficial. “Walking can help protect you during cold and flu season. A study of over 1,000 men and women found that those who walked at least 20 minutes a day, at least 5 days a week, had 43% fewer sick days than those who exercised once a week or less. And if they did get sick, it was for a shorter duration, and their symptoms were milder.”

She Has A Dog

As you can see from the previous Instagram post, Glanville has pet dogs. And according to Harvard Health, this can be beneficial. “A growing body of solid research shows that owning a dog can: provide companionship, help you be more active, make kids calmer, more secure, and more responsible, improve the lives of older individuals, help you be calmer, more mindful, and more present in your life, make you more social and less isolated, ease stress.”

She Worked With A Breath Coach

Glanville revealed to Us Weekly that she works with a breath coach to help with her mental health. “I’m still doing cosmetic stuff, but at the same time trying to fix myself. I eat better and breathe and actually exercise. I’m getting there. I just started with this journey, but I can actually do things. My body can do things now that I couldn’t do five years ago.”

She Uses CellSound

Glanville revealed to People that she used the CellSound treatment on her stomach. "I mean, to be honest, I haven't worn a crop top in years, and I literally feel comfortable going out in a crop top, which is so bizarre," she says. "Not that I feel like everyone should do that, but I can go work out with a crop top on and not feel like I have my mommy stomach and I shouldn't sit down. So it's definitely empowered me in that aspect."
