Like, that’s not crazy in the scheme of things today, but it’s not what you’d consider, like, the most generic-type model.”

She tells ELLE that she wants to use her career as a model to talk about causes that are important to her. “I think modeling now is not just about modeling, but it's about creating space for people who do other things, whether it be art, activism, writing, any type of creation. And I get really excited when I'm able to do things that, and work with brands that actually let me not only be the model, but actually share my own thoughts and have [conversations] like this where I can talk about sustainability and activism in general.”

3. She Uses Sustainable Products

Emhoff wants to use sustainable materials in her knitting. “It’s made me obsessed with researching materials, especially the recycled cashmere [Stella McCartney] has been working on,” she told ELLE. “I try and source my yarns as sustainably as possible, whether it’s by going to outlets that are going to just throw away all their yarn, or working with other brands to get their excess yarn, or using yarn that I've had since I was a child. It's made me think more resourcefully on the ways that I want to package things… It’s made me ask myself, ‘Is this cool and is this helpful?’ It’s been a big influence.”

4. She Spends Time With Her Dogs

Emhoff is a dog lover and she spends a lot of time with them. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself with a dog, captioning it, “Everyone, say hi to Jerry.” The American Kennel Club states that having a dog has a lot of benefits. “Just petting a familiar dog lowers blood pressure and heart rate, slows breathing, and relaxes tense muscles. Marni is an avid reader. She regularly recommends books on her Instagram page. “Just finished this one by @barbara.kingsolver Raw, honest, descriptive journey of life, family, friendship, addiction, foster care, heart and perseverance. Definitely recommend,” she captioned the post on National Book Lovers Day. One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years compared with people who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

2. She Rides Bikes

Marni has a favorite form of transportation – bike riding. “Weekending,” she captioned a photo of herself on a ride. The Cleveland Clinic explains that biking, a low-impact aerobic exercise, is great for building muscle, improving strength and flexibility, and improving balance. It can also boost mental health and help other health conditions, including arthritis.

3. She Golfs

Marni is also a golfer. On her 20th wedding anniversary she and her husband went on a golfing trip to The American Club at Kohler in Wisconsin. A comprehensive review published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine found that golf's health benefits are extensive, including mind, body, and even lifespan. Benefits include improved longevity, decreased risk of developing heart disease or suffering a stroke, good mental health, and improved strength and balance.

4. She Runs

Marina loves to run. In October 2022 she completed the Chicago Marathon. “👏 to all the runners! And to my husband, who agreed to do this with me. That’s love!” she captioned a post. 5. She Kayaks

During the summer months you can find Marni on the lake kayaking. Kayaking is a great workout. Not only is it great for building upper body strength and helps reduce stress, but can burn up to 400 calories per hour, translating to 1,600 calories in four hours of paddling.

She Uses A Stairclimber

In her Instagram post, Guper is seen using the stairclimber. Stair workouts have a lot of health benefits. She’s Consistent

Guper makes sure to stay consistent with her workout routines. One way she does so is by staying disciplined. Guper talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. “Good morning! She Does Lunges

Guper shared some of her favorite lower body workouts in this Instagram video. One thing she is seen doing is lunges. According to The Mayo Clinic, lunges have a lot of benefits. “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles.”

She Does Leg Extensions

In the previous Instagram video, Guper is seen using the leg extension machine. Asphalt Green says that leg extensions have a lot of benefits. “These machines provide isolation exercises for your legs.
