Emma Malabuyo is in beast  mode – in her workout gear. In a new social media post the gymnast, who is headed to the Olympics in Paris this summer, reveals that she is training hard. "Improving each day," she captioned a post of her workout on the bars. "Mesmerizing," one of her followers commented. "Putting in the work!!! Proud of you Boo! 😤," added another. Strength Training

Strength training helps Emma prep her body for gymnastics. "grind never stops💯Thank you @kecia.dpt and @built4it_official for always getting me back into shape," she captioned a post of one of her workouts, which included exercise such as sled pulls, weight lifting, and kettlebell raises. According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

Hydration

Emma makes sure to hydrate. One of her favorite drinks is Harmless Harvest coconut water. According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is important for a variety of reasons. Emma started "off the New Year getting fit" by riding on her Yes Soul fitness bike. It can also boost mental health and help other health conditions, including arthritis.

Hot Tub Soaks

Emma soaks her muscles in hot tubs and baths. Soaking in hot water is great for sleep and can help minimize anxiety and depression.

Emma has been a gymnast her whole life. According to Pinnacle Gymnastics, there are physical and mental benefits of gymnastics. Physical benefits include flexibility, balance, and muscular strength. "These skills improve bone health and delay the development of high blood pressure," they say.
