I found that I was eating a lot of sugar, just due to its availability everywhere. So I started the carnivore diet.”
She Stays Hydrated
When Emma decided to go on the carnivore diet, she needed to make other changes to her wellness routine to adapt. She wrote in her Instagram post caption that she has started drinking more water to help her body process.”One thing I have to do is make sure I drink a ton of water during the day because it will help support my body as it breaks down the protein. This and listening to my body is key for me.”
She Does A Variety Of Exercises
In an interview on her fellow DWTS pro, Witney Carson’s blog, Emma shared some of her favorite workouts. She does a lot of different things to stay in shape. “Dancing!! I love Yoga barre type workouts too. The lengthen my calves! Uphill walking and hiking I do a fair bit of, music is the one thing I must have to work out because then it’s more like meditation for me rather than just working out. I couldn’t do it without music.”
She Loves Veggies
Emma makes sure to eat a healthy diet. She revealed in her interview with Witney that she eats a lot of vegetables each day. “Honestly, I’m a salad and fish person,” Emma says. “I will eat just a basic leafy salad with an Asian dressing. I also like raw veggies with hummus, but not celery because I hate the aftertaste!”
She Does Bodyweight Exercises

When it comes to working out, Emma doesn’t just use equipment. She likes to do a lot of bodyweight exercises. Emma shared some of her favorites in an interview with Yahoo Life. “I like to do leg lifts out to the side and behind me, alternating each leg. To mix it up, you can add some push-ups in between changing sides so you can get a more complete workout. Planking is the best for a strong core!”
