In a new social media post the influencer gives her followers an update on her current status and reveals what she has been up to lately, while also flaunting her fabulous physique. “Joy has a habit of returning btw,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps and videos. In one of the slides, she walks her dog, wearing a crop top and bike shorts. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Basketball

In her new Instagram post Lily plays basketball in her bikini. “Basketball promotes speed, agility, strength, power and endurance. It [has] also been shown to increase flexibility and motor coordination. As a result, basketball is uniquely oriented to improve fundamental motor skills that are shown to be beneficial in promoting general health,” Koco Eaton, M.D., orthopedic surgeon, founder of Eaton Orthopaedics and a former basketball player, tells Nike.

Tennis

Lily Bowman has fun playing tennis with a friend.

"While tennis provides numerous health benefits—improved aerobic fitness and anaerobic endurance, muscular fitness (grip strength and endurance), flexibility, multiple skill parameters (balance, speed, agility and quickness), reactivity, and power—it also is psychologically demanding," they say.

Walking Her Dog

Lily spends a lot of time walking her dog, like she does in her new post. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Strength Training

Lily’s main form of fitness is strength training, which helps reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently, per Mayo Clinic. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Running

Lily is a runner. She pounds the pavement twice a week and recently revealed that she can run a 5k in just 25 minutes. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. “For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories,” they say.

Jess Hunt is a fashion influencer and the founder of Refy. She has a large following on social media. Hunt recently took a Pilates class to help keep herself in shape. She shared a mirror selfie on her Instagram story from the studio. In it, Hunt modeled a chic set of workout clothes.

She Does Pilates

Jess Hunt shared a post pilates selfie.

Hunt likes to do Pilates to keep herself in shape. The Cleveland Clinic states that Pilates has a lot of health benefits. “Some of the principles that guide the Pilates method include concentration on each movement, use of the abdomen and low back muscles, flowing, precise movement patterns and controlled breathing. Depending on the exercise, Pilates routines can be performed on specially designed apparatuses, including a bed-like structure called a reformer, or more simply on a mat or blanket. Pilates is a form of strength training, but it doesn’t look like some of the other strength training exercises you might be familiar with. Pilates focuses more on improving muscle tone than building muscles, but the result is similar: greater stability and endurance. Pilates isn’t going to bulk you up — if anything, it’s designed to cultivate a longer, leaner look. Still, it can lay a strong physical foundation for muscle-building activities — and may even reduce your likelihood of injury.”

She Prioritizes Self-Care

Hunt shared some of her wellness secrets with Net-A-Porter. “Sunday is my self-care day,” she says. “Or, rather, my self-care evening. I have a shower and use a textured exfoliating mitt and then cover myself with Laura Mercier’s Ambre Vanillé Souffle Body Crème. Or, if I’m having a bath, I’ll use lots of oil. I love to use a mask, usually from 111Skin, either for brightening or hydrating; and I always have

Hunt shared some of her skincare secrets with Net-A-Porter. “I have super-dry skin but, a year ago, I went to see a dermatologist, who put me on an incredible SkinCeuticals regimen and it’s made my skin so much better,” she said. “I simply cleanse and then use its Hydrating B5 serum, Phyto Corrective serum and Ultra Facial Defense SPF50+ Facial Sunscreen. I also love the Ren Clean Skincare Radiance Brightening Dark Circle Eye Cream – it works, instantly.”

She Stays Hydrated

Hunt tells Net-A-Porter that she makes sure to keep her skin hydrated. “On a ‘bad face day’ my skin can get really dry, so I use a richer cream – the SkinCeuticals Epidermal Repair treatment really helps me – I’ll put it all over my face like a face mask, as it just fixes my skin. I also drink loads of water – if I’m looking puffy then I know I have to drink more. And I always do my Brow Sculpt – good brows really help freshen the face!”

She Doesn’t Diet

Hunt tells Net-A-Porter that she doesn’t like to diet. “I try not to follow a diet as I find it restrictive and it can control your life. I used to model and was so conscious of my weight and what I ate. Some days I would only eat almonds – I was so miserable, but I thought that was what models did. I try to eat intuitively now and breakfast is my favorite meal. But, if I wake up and I’m not hungry, I don’t eat until about 11am.”

Stefanie Williams, a fitness influencer and founder of the popular platform We Glow, is on a mission to empower women worldwide. In a recent Instagram post, Williams celebrated the fourth anniversary of her brand, sharing how it has helped millions of women achieve their goals and feel stronger in their daily lives. Captioning the post, “Let’s keep glowing together,” Williams reflected on her journey from training clients in parks to building a global community. Her workout routine, including exercises like squats, lunges, and Pilates, reflects her commitment to health, strength, and confidence.

She Does Squats

In her Instagram video, Williams is seen doing a lot of different exercises. One thing she is seen doing is squats. According to The Cleveland Clinic, squats have a lot of benefits. “Here’s a quick look at the many benefits of squats, also known as bodyweight squats or air squats: Works major muscle groups. Burns calories. Strengthens your core. Improves lower body strength. Enhances stability and balance. Betters your posture. Helps with flexibility and mobility. Promotes healthy bones. Helps prevent injuries.”

She Does Lunges

Stefanie Williams does lunges outside.

Williams is also seen doing lunges in her Instagram video. The Mayo Clinic states that lunges have a lot of health benefits. “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles. The lunge is a great conditioning exercise for many sports, especially those that involve lunging movements, such as tennis, basketball or soccer.”

She Lifts Weights

Stefanie Williams uses dumbbells.

Stefanie Williams/Instagram

Williams is also seen using weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Does Plank Exercises

Stefanie Williams is seen doing a variation of a plank.

Another exercise that Williams is seen doing in her Instagram video is plank dips. Any type of plank exercise can be very beneficial. Allina Health states, “The plank is a simple, effective bodyweight exercise that strengthens your core, as well as muscles in your upper and lower body. Core muscles, which include your back and abdomen, help you maintain posture and balance as you stand, sit and move throughout the day.”

She Does Pilates

Williams is a Pilates expert. Pilates has a lot of benefits. The Houston Methodist states, “As far as what muscles Pilates works, it's technically considered a total body workout.

In working the entire body, though, Pilates' movements are primarily designed to target your core muscles, including your: Abdominal muscles. Hip muscles. Gluteal muscles. Lower and upper back muscles. Inner thigh muscles.”

We are committed to bringing you researched, expert-driven content to help you make more informed decisions around food, health, and wellness. We know how important making choices about your overall health is, and we strive to provide you with the best information possible.

Lindsay Vonn, the legendary former pro skier, is not only known for her incredible achievements on the slopes but also for her dedication to fitness and self-care. In a recent social media post, Vonn wowed fans in a two-piece workout set while sharing her intense leg-burning routine. Despite her busy schedule, she stays consistent in the gym, using exercise as both a physical outlet and a mental escape. From maintaining her authenticity to empowering young girls through her foundation, here's a closer look at how Vonn balances fitness, self-care, and giving back.

1. She True to Herself

Vonn stays true to her authentic self and doesn’t pretend to be something she’s not.

"I was always just myself,” she told Women’s Health. “You can be strong and feminine and opinionated and wear makeup and do all those things at the same time. You don't have to be the stereotypical athlete. You can be different," she stated in the interview. "There's no limit to what opportunities are out there [for you], you just have to go get them."

2. She Has Healthy Outlets

Life can get overwhelming for anyone, including star athletes, but the former pro skier turns to healthy outlets to cope with challenging moments. In a recent Instagram post, Vonn shared a video of her in the gym doing a variety of workouts including weight lifting, TRX, hanging abs and more. She wrote in the post, “Been putting the time in the gym… It’s how I clear my mind and keep my sanity… when life gets hard, I workout harder.”

Hitting the gym is a great stress reducer and helps improve your overall mood.

“Exercise can provide stress relief for your body while imitating effects of stress, such as the flight or fight response, and helping your body and its systems practice working together through those effects,” according to the Mayo Clinic. “This can also lead to positive effects in your body — including your cardiovascular, digestive and immune systems — by helping protect your body from harmful effects of stress.”

3. She is Consistent in the Gym

It’s easy to stop going to the gym with a busy schedule, which recently happened to Vonn, but she’s back at it now. On August 5th, Vonn posted an Instagram video with the caption, “Back at it!! Feels so good to get back in the gym and into a routine again.”

Besides getting the best fitness results, staying consistent in the gym can help in other ways such as managing or preventing diseases like stroke, depression and anxiety, improves sleep, boosts mood, and can improve intimacy, per the Mayo Clinic.

4. Giving Back

Skiing has always been a major aspect of Vonn’s life and she takes time to help empower young girls in sports. Over the summer, she shared on Instagram, “Beyond sports, I love the work that I do through my foundation to empower the next generation of girls, and at the same time, I enjoy sitting on boards and working with the companies I advise to help drive a new frontier in sports and far beyond.”

5. Dog Lover

In several social media videos, Vonn is seen with her dogs and occasionally working out with them. Many of us love and cherish our pets like family, but there are also health benefits to owning a pet.

According to U.C. Davis, having a pet can improve mental health in the following ways:

-”Help reduce stress and anxiety

-Ease feelings of loneliness

-Provide unconditional love and support

-Create a calming presence

-Give a sense of purpose for pet parents”

Hannah Bower, a fitness influencer and mother-to-be, proves that staying active is possible even during pregnancy. Currently expecting her third child, Bower continues to share her favorite workouts with her followers on Instagram. In a recent post, she demonstrated a modified full-body workout tailored for the busy holiday season, featuring exercises like hamstring curls and pull-ups. Captioning the post, “A quicker full body workout for the busy holiday season! 👌🏽,” Bower inspires her community to stay consistent and adapt workouts to fit their individual needs.

She Does Hamstring Curls

Bower is seen doing hamstring curls in her Instagram post. She talked about what she likes about the exercise in her post’s caption. “I did hamstring curls instead of crab marches because at 30 weeks pregnant those bad boys didn’t feel great on my pelvis! 🥴 There is ALWAYS ways to modify and get the most out of your training for YOU.”

She Lifts Weights

Hannah Bower is seen using a barbell during a workout.

Hannah Bower/Instagram

Bower is seen using a barbell in her Instagram post. ACE Fitness states that lifting weights has a lot of health benefits. “Lifting heavy weights elevates levels of anabolic hormones—specifically testosterone, growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1)—which are used to repair muscle fibers damaged during exercise. This helps the muscle fibers to become thicker and capable of generating higher levels of force.”

She Does Deadlifts

Bower is seen doing deadlifts with a barbell in her Instagram post. ACE Fitness states that exercises like deadlifts with a weight can have a lot of benefits. “Using maximal loads for compound (multi-joint) movements like the deadlift, squat-to-shoulder press, bent-over row or chest press can improve intermuscular coordination, which is the ability of many muscles to work together to generate and control high levels of force through multiple joints.”

She Does Pullups

Hannah Bower does pull-ups.

Hannah Bower/Instagram

Bower is seen doing an easier version of a pull-up in her Instagram video. Pull-ups have a lot of benefits. Asphalt Green states, “Pull-ups are a fantastic way to improve upper-body strength. This exercise primarily targets your back and biceps, but involves many stabilizing muscles in your core, arms, and shoulders. Depending on the way you grip the bar, you can even work your chest.”

She's Consistent

Bower talked about the importance of staying consistent with workouts in the caption of this Instagram post. “In order for something to become a habit, you have to keep doing it even through the times you don’t feel like it. Discipline is created through being consistent. We all know motivation isn’t a constant continuous thing you just have. It comes and goes.”

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. It’s hard to believe that Jennifer Aniston is 55 and turning 56 in February! Since soaring to fame in 1994, the Friends star has hardly aged in the three decades that have passed – and she has never been secretive about her devotion to health and wellness. Her hard work over the years has paid off through her strong and lean body and ageless looks. Here is everything you need to know about Jennifer Aniston’s approach to longevity.

She Maintains a High Protein Diet

"My nutrition is very much the same. It's usually a lot of high protein, vegetables, salads, soups,” she tells People. “I do 80/20. I give myself days where I can have whatever I want. I don’t deprive myself,” she added to TODAY. Why should you consider amping up your protein intake? According to clinical trials, consuming more protein than the recommended dietary allowance not only reduces body weight (BW) but also enhances body composition by decreasing fat mass while preserving fat-free mass (FFM) in both low-calorie and standard-calorie diets.

She Cheats on Occasion

Jennifer allows herself to indulge in “everything I would possibly want on a weekend,” she told People. Her cheat meal “depends,” she says. “I mean, dare I sound repetitive, but Mexican food is a real favorite of mine. It's not even that much of a cheat, to be honest. Or a cheeseburger or pizza or pasta — all that stuff.”

She Tries to Get Enough Sleep

“My bigger challenge is sleep. I think that’s all part of our nutritional hygiene — the amount of water we get as well as the amount of sleep we get. It’s the combination of all of those things that make your workouts the most effective," she told TODAY.

She Exercises in the Morning

“I’ve become gentler with myself,” she says of her approach to fitness, which has “definitely evolved” over the years. “I find that I can be gentler on my body and still get the benefits of a great workout,” she told Prevention. She specifically loves P.Volve workouts, a functional fitness that helps you “function throughout the day” and “work out your essential muscle groups to keep your body strong,” she says. “So you can live a long, healthy, strong life.”

She Hydrates

Aniston prioritizes hydration, drinking a whopping 100 ounces of water per day. "But occasionally I just have to have a Diet Coke—there's nothing like it!" According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is essential for various reasons. Water helps eliminate waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature regular, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.

She Does Pilates, Spinning, Elliptical, and Running Workouts

“I had an injury last fall and I was only able to do Pilates, which I absolutely love. But I was missing that kind of sweat when you just go for it,” she recently told InStyle. “I'm going back to my 15-15-15, which is a 15-minute spin, elliptical, run. And then just old school: I can chase myself around a gym. I need some kind of movement, even if it's just 10 minutes a day on a trampoline.”
