Former Miss USA  Noelia Voigt in Workout Gear Got a "Moment of Zen"

"I needed to look and feel my best."

Noelia Voigt is getting her zen on in her workout clothes. In a recent social media post, the recently resigned Miss USA shows off her amazing body while getting grounded. "The perfect place for some Zen 🧘‍♀️ I spent many hours in this room at NOVEL Daybreak when I lived in Utah! It was equipped with everything I needed to look and feel my best, including a state of the art exercise facility containing a Yoga Studio with cycles, a barre, outdoor yoga space, smart mirror, and more. Get your zen on and check out NOVEL Daybreak!" she captioned the post. How does the star approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1

Meditation

In the post, Noelia meditates. "When you meditate, you may clear away the information overload that builds up every day and contributes to your stress," says the Mayo Clinic. Benefits include:

  • Gaining a new perspective on stressful situations
  • Building skills to manage your stress
  • Increasing self-awareness
  • Focusing on the present
  • Reducing negative emotions
  • Increasing imagination and creativity
  • Increasing patience and tolerance
  • Lowering resting heart rate
  • Lowering resting blood pressure
  • Improving sleep quality

Yoga

During a Miss Universe event, Noelia shows off her yoga moves while in San Salvadore. "It's always a good time with my #missuniverse girls! What a jam packed day full of fun. I didn't even get footage of all of it! From swimsuit shoots, to yoga, to surfing, to lunch at a gorgeous resort," she captioned the post. There is a laundry list of reasons to do yoga, explains Harvard Health. "Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood," they said. "People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating."

Pho

Noelia loves Vietnamese food. "Happy Sunday! A random fun fact for you today: I am OBSESSED with Pho. I remember when I was little, my oldest sister Nicole would take me to a Thai temple on Sundays in Tampa where we would get pho, sticky rice, meat, mangoes, and more. Now, every time I travel I am looking up the best place to get pho before I even step foot in a car or airplane 😂 I could eat this every single day. How I eat my pho: Beef pho, squeeze of lime, 3 Thai basil leaves, and lots of chili oil 🤤 If you haven't tried pho yet, you're missing out! How do you like to eat pho?" she captioned a post.

Hiking

Noelia is a hiker. "Spent two days car camping, hiking, bouldering, and off-roading in Canyonlands National Park in Moab with @jhendrix9 🤍🏞️," she captioned a post. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems

Mental Health

Noelia announced on Instagram that she was resigning as Miss USA. "As individuals, we grow through experiencing different things in life that lead us to learning more about ourselves," she wrote on Instagram. In a resignation letter to Miss USA, she revealed that her resignation had to do with her mental health, describing "a toxic work environment within the Miss USA Organization that, at best, is poor management and, at worst, is bullying and harassment."
