Joy Taylor is a host on Fox Sports and Fuse TV. She recently took a trip to Costa Rica. Taylor recently shared a photo on Instagram of herself in the water. She wore a gorgeous leopard print swimsuit, showing off her figure. Taylor captioned the post, “Reminiscing on the blessings this year.”
She Swims
In her Instagram post, Taylor is seen swimming in the ocean. Swimming has a lot of benefits. According to Better Health, “Swimming is a good all-round activity because it: keeps your heart rate up but takes some of the impact stress off your body, builds endurance, muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness, helps you maintain a healthy weight, healthy heart and lungs, tones muscles and builds strength, provides an all-over body workout, as nearly all of your muscles are used during swimming.”
She Doesn’t Care What Others Think
In an interview on South Beach Sessions, Taylor opened up about dealing with comments on social media. She says that she isn’t affected by what others say about her. "I wasn't going to allow this anonymous feedback to hurt me because I can't allow that anonymous feedback to make me feel good either," Taylor said. "When you rely on the internet or the comments of strangers to move you positively or negatively, it's more likely going to move negatively more often."
She Wants Representation in the Media
Taylor is an advocate for representation in the media. She talked about this in her South Beach Sessions interview. "The representation, I didn't really see it was until Jemele [Hill.] That was when I was like, 'Oh, that's actually possible.' She is being heard. She's giving her opinion. She's a Black woman right alongside all the men in the equal space, not as a host or moderators or some sort of role on the show.”
She Boxes
Taylor hosts Like A Girl on Fuse. She and her co-host, MJ Acosta-Ruiz, tried a bunch of different things for the show. One thing they did was box. Taylor shared this video on Instagram of the two of them sparring. She captioned the post, “BTS of @mjacostatv and I training with @melissa.amaya27 and @loba_acosta_ of @combateglobal for this week’s #LikeaGirl on @fusetv! 👊🏽🥊”
She Hikes
Taylor shared this post on Instagram of herself in Iceland. In some of the photos, she is seen hiking and exploring the country’s natural beauty. Hiking has a lot of health benefits. Harvard Health states, “Like brisk walking, hiking is a good way to improve your cardiovascular fitness, particularly if your route includes some hills, which will force your heart to work harder. Taking a hike on the slightly uneven surface of a trail also provides a natural way to engage the core muscles in your torso and to hone your balance skills.”
