Francesca Reale is working out over the weekend – in her two-piece gear. In a new social media post the Stranger Things star shows off her amazing body in exercise clothes during a Pilates session. “It’s not a Saturday morning without @moveswithjess to kick my a** into shape,” she captioned the Instagram Stories. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here are all her top lifestyle tips.
1. Read a Book

Things that inspire Francesca include an “incredible exhibit at an art museum, a good book, music, an incredible meal. Anything that can feel somewhat extraordinary and rare in the moment I find very inspirational,” she told A Book Of. Her favorite is Little Women. “I’ve always loved and admired Jo’s devotion to her writing and making her dreams come true. It’s an inspiration for me with my own career and dreams,” she said. One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years compared with people who weren't readers or who read periodicals.
2. Take a Bath
“Netflix and tub 🛁,” is part of Francesca’s self-care routine, according to this post. Did you know that baths have been linked to better sleep and even found helpful to minimize anxiety and depression? One recent study even found that they may even boast cardiovascular benefits.
3. Drink Coffee

Francesca can often be found with a cup of coffee in hand. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” explains the Cleveland Clinic, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.
4. Get Your Steps In
Francesca gets her steps in by walking wherever she is. How much do you need to walk to lose weight? A 2018 study published in the journal Obesity found a link between walking 10,000 steps a day and weight loss and weight management. Other studies published by the Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA) in JAMA Neurology and in JAMA Internal Medicine also linked walking 10,000 steps a day to less dementia and less cardiovascular disease overall, with less heart disease, less heart failure and fewer strokes.
5. Do Pilates

In her most recent post, Francesca does Pilates on a reformer. The Mayo Clinic endorses the workout which “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.
