Eden McCoy is palling around with Johnny Sequoyah Friedenberg – in her swimsuit. In a recent social media snap the General Hospital star shows off her amazing body alongside her Dexter: New Blood friend, wowwing her followers. “Hey gorgeous,” commented one of them. “Beautiful,” added another. How does the soap star, 20, maintain her amazing body? Celebwell has all the details on her lifestyle habits.

1. She Makes Fitness a Priority

“Fitness is something that I make a priority, even if it seems like there’s not enough time in a busy day or if I don’t feel like it,” she told Soap Hub. “If I go more than a couple of days without exercise I notice it in my mood, and it isn’t good, so that motivates me.”

2. She Plays Volleyball

“I try and get to the beach at least twice during the week plus one weekend day for a volleyball workout or scrimmage,” she told the publication, adding that she trains “regularly on the sand for volleyball three times a week and tournaments every weekend with the same group and coaches.”

3. She Hikes

“I’m lucky to live near cool places to hike,” Eden added to Soap Hub. “I hike at Runyon Canyon or the trails around Lake Hollywood,” she added to Soap Hub. My leg muscles really benefit from hiking, because it’s a different movement than when I’m playing beach volleyball. I can really feel it on the days after I hike!”

4. She Runs

Eden.McCoy.RunningEden McCoy/Instagram

No time to workout, no problem. “If I’m really pressed for time, I’ll just jog for 20-25 minutes in my neighborhood,” Eden told Soap Hub. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. “For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories,” they say.

5. She Cheats

Eden maintains a healthy diet…most of the time. “I cheat a little bit every day! I have a real weakness for junk food and I can’t resist a good donut,” she said.

6. She Hydrates

When Eden cheats she tries to “balance it out” by drinking “a ton” of water. “My mom bought me a giant 64 oz colorful water jug that I carry with me everywhere, and I actually refill it and drink between 2 and 3 of those a day,” she said.

General Hospital star Kelly Monaco shared her workout secrets in a 2012 interview with SheKnows. “My workout regimen varies. I do everything from the gym to yoga to cardio classes, hiking and swimming. I’m pretty active. I’d rather stay outdoors than be cooped up.”

2. Jaqueline M. Wood

49th Daytime Emmy Awards - ArrivalsAmy Sussman/Getty Images

Jaqueline M. Wood starred on The Bold And The Beautiful. She shared some of her wellness secrets with Glamour. “I have an early-morning workout session with my trainer at 9 A.M. We're doing squats and heavy lifting. For heavy lifters or for anyone working out in the morning, you need to eat prior to your workout so your body can focus on growing muscles and not digesting, which kills your energy. I always start with a protein shake: one banana, one cup of raspberries, one tablespoon flaxseed, one tablespoon chia seeds, glutamine (for muscle recovery), and a splash of orange juice.”

3. Michelle Stafford

48th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards - ArrivalsKevin Winter/Getty Images

Young & The Restless star, Michelle Stafford, shared some of her wellness secrets in an Instagram post. “The most commonly asked question of me by others is ‘how do you stay so thin?’ Ya know… there is no secret, there is no magical potion. It is always diet and exercise. And in order to lose weight, it is also diet and exercise. Of course, the decision to change is the main thing. One must decide to change and want to change. THAT is the ‘secret.’”

4. Rena Sofer

Rena,Sofer,Attends,Jess,Phoenix's,"ignite,For,Science",2018,CongressionalShutterstock

General Hospital star, Rena Sofer, shared her wellness secrets with Soaps She Knows. “I don’t diet. I exercise quite often. I’m very into hula hooping. I hula hoop for like an hour probably five times a week and that keeps my stomach and my back very strong and I work out at home. We have a home gym so I get on the elliptical or do lunges around the house, stuff like that. I get my US and People magazines and I read them on the elliptical machine. So you know, I’m not crazy or anything. I’m an older woman who just doesn’t expect to look like a twenty-year-old so I don’t try to. I just eat what I want, but I eat in moderation and I don’t smoke and don’t drink and I take care of myself.”

5. Laura Wright

Los,Angeles,-,Jan,8:,Laura,Wright,At,The,AbcShutterstock

General Hospital star, Laura Wright, talked about her journey to self-acceptance in an Instagram post. “30 years later I’m finally discovering how beautiful life is,” she wrote. “How grateful I am for a body that has been with me and taking care of me for 51 years. 7. Arianne Zucker

Los,Angeles,-,May,1:,Arianne,Zucker,At,The,2019Shutterstock

Days Of Our Lives star Arianne Zucker has her own blog. In this post, she talked about her approach to fitness. “If I get three days of decent workouts in a week, I know my heart and my mind feel amazing. That's only 3 hours a week out of 168 hours a week. I like to give myself the facts like that because I have a clear vision in my mind about how to make time for me. It's that darn Gemini in me. It is very logical. My personal work out consists of a 20 minute run/walk. Running isn't great for our knees after the age of 25 even though people run for way longer after that. You also hear about how many knee, back and shoulder issues people have as well, so it really makes sense.”

8. Melissa Claire Egan

Los,Angeles,-,Jun,23:,Melissa,Claire,Egan,At,TheShutterstock

In this revealing Instagram post, The Young & The Restless star, Melissa Claire Egan opened up about her miscarriage, and wanting to make others feel not alone. “This picture was taken on January 18, 2018,” she wrote. “My husband took this picture an hour after my D&C surgery, after I had suffered a miscarriage at 8 weeks. I’m very candid about my miscarriage with my friends and family and speak openly about it to anyone that asks if we want kids. It’s never been a secret. And I was so lucky to have my incredible husband and best friends and family in the world there for me, every step of the way. It’s so hard, and takes such a toll on you emotionally and physically, hormonally, all of it. But I hadn’t shared it publicly. Not for any particular reason, I just hadn’t. Then recently a friend that I don’t see often told me that sadly she had suffered one as well. She seemed almost relieved when I told her I had the same experience. She told me she had felt alone and like a failure, and less-than, because she hadn’t heard other people speak about it. This made me SO SAD, and made me want to share my story. With anyone and everyone. Just so no one feels alone. I promise you you’re not alone.”

9. Sharon Case

Los,Angeles,-,Mar,26:,Sharon,Case,At,The,TheShutterstock

Sharon Case is a soap star, known for her roles on General Hospital, As The World Turns, and The Young & The Restless. She shared her skincare secrets with Soap Opera Digest. “I always wash my face and put on my skin care program twice a day, when I wake up and before I go to bed. I first wash my face with whatever because I’m not particular about what I use — sometimes I use a fancy cleanser, other times it’s regular hand soap. What matters is that you have a really great moisturizer and a serum. For the moisturizer, I like either DefenAge or Oil of Olay, which I’ve used for years. I still swear by that product. The serum that goes on after is a clear liquid; you use a few drops to apply to your face with your fingers. I like to use DefenAge serum. A couple of times a week, I’ll put on a product that has retinol in it.”

10. Katherine Kelly Lang

Los,Angeles,-,Sep,21:,Katherine,Kelly,Lang,Arrives,ToShutterstock

The Bold & The Beautiful star, Katherine Kelly Lang, shared her beauty secrets with the DailyMail. “I love creams, so I apply whatever creams I love and am using at the time right after my shower,” she said. “I do like to switch them up because the face gets used to a certain product or a certain line and then it's not as effective so you want to switch up regularly by using different kinds of creams.”

I’m a sucker for new adventurous things.”

12. Genie Francis

48th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards - ArrivalsKevin Winter/Getty Images

Genie Francis has appeared in General Hospital, All My Children, and The Young & The Restless. In 2015, she revealed that she turned to Nutrisystem to help her lose weight. "I couldn’t believe it," she said to ABC News. "I was getting so much delicious food. I did not feel deprived. The diet is very gentle. I find that as I'm getting older, I can't do these crazy extreme things anymore. I have to have something that's easy, livable. I'm not willing to be miserable."

13. Camila Banus

Camila,Banus,Attends,The,4th,Annual,Roger,Neal,Oscar,ViewingShutterstock

Camila Banus is a cast member on both Days Of Our Lives and One Life To Live. She shared her typical diet in an interview with Soap Opera Digest. “I fast until about 10 or 11 a.m. because normally, I like to work out in the morning. So I will do a green juice from a company called Garden of Life. And then I get some solid food in around 11, and that’s anything that has to do with protein, like oatmeal or eggs or even some turkey. It’s important to have carbs in the morning, so I complement that with some toast and a little bit of juice. For lunch, I usually have my heaviest meal. I have an obsession with rice but white rice is really bad for you, so I’ve been transitioning into doing brown rice with a healthy amount of protein, whether that’s plant-based protein or chicken or turkey. And then for dinner, I try to have a substantial meal but not as much as lunch. Spinach is my favorite, so I do spinach and chicken or any type of protein.”

14. Karla Mosley

Los,Angeles,-,Apr,12:,Karla,Mosley,At,Glaad,MediaShutterstock

In an essay for Glamour, The Bold & The Beautiful star, Karla Mosley revealed that she had struggled with an eating disorder, and shared how she managed to recover. "Five or six years ago, I made a kind of deal with God. I had lost my period for ten years and I wanted it back so I could start thinking about having kids. I said, 'Okay, I believe that I am supposed to be healthy, and I believe that I am supposed to act and to dance. I believe that both of these things should coexist, but if being healthy means I can't do the work I love, then I choose health first.' And that was a big difference. Now that I've made the decision to be a healthy-looking woman on camera, and to not compromise that no matter what, when a thought comes up, I push it aside and I focus on my work. Mostly, I've become curious. When a feeling or thought comes up that in the past could have been destructive, I now look at it. I write about it or dance it out. I pause, I meditate, I throw love on it. And I watch it change."

15. Linsey Godfrey

Burbank,,Ca,Usa,-,March,5,,2022:,Actress,Linsey,GodfreyShutterstock

Days Of Our Lives star, Linsey Godfrey revealed on Instagram that she is working with a personal trainer. “Please excuse the effort in the upper body,” she wrote. “This was my last set and I was tired but it was my first time doing weighted dips. I love it, so I'm going to put it up so that you know what it is, but that's what it is. That is the brow lifting that people are talking about. That's all I got."

For Hewitt, fitness is all about variety. “I try to switch it up a bit,” she told OK! Magazine. “I’ve found that if every week I do something different it tricks my muscles into not getting used to doing any one thing. I’ve been doing pilates, I’ve been doing yoga, I’ve done just plain old walking. I wear 10 pound weights on my ankles while I’m working just so that as I’m moving during the day I’m constantly building muscle. It’s not great for your back but I’m doing it anyway. I do a booty workout thing that I just did for Shape, which was really fun. And I do Zumba. I have DVDs and I dance around like a crazy person in my house.”

She Builds Confidence

Water Skiing

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. Sometimes we take steps back & that’s just a sign to course correct so we can leap forward. If 2024 wasn’t the year you expected, use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, & carry on. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Prioritizing Digestion and Getting Blood Work Done

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Pilates

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
