Ginny & Georgia Star Antonia Gentry in Bikini Top Says “Oui Oui”

Here are her diet and fitness secrets

Antonia Gentry is modeling the hottest summer fashions. In an Instagram post, the Ginny & Georgia star, whose hit show is currently the top-watched on Netflix, shows off her washboard abs in a Miu Miu bikini top in Paris. She captioned the series of snaps, “oui oui plus de miu miu.” How does the young star approach diet and fitness? Here are all the things she does to stay in shape.

1

She Doesn’t Spend a Lot of Time at the Gym

Gentry doesn’t spend a lot of time at the gym. “I am not a huge fan of exercise,” she told Yahoo Life. “All my friends can attest to that. I have a lot of friends that love working out and they swear by it. I have moments where I’m like, ‘OK, I’m going to go to yoga or I’m going to do Pilates.’ And I feel great for a while, but then it just feels bad again, and I’m like, ‘Why am I doing this? I’m forcing myself to do this.'”

She Walks

However, Gentry does get her steps in. “I do like to get out of the house. I like to go for walks. … But in terms of a ritualistic exercise thing, I have yet to commit to something,” she says. Going for a daily walk can be a game-changer, especially at a brisk speed. A study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for approximately 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death compared to walking a similar number of steps at a slower pace.

She Journals

Gentry promotes her mental wellness by journaling. “I’ve been reading back aloud the things the things that overwhelm me, whether that’s negative thoughts about myself or things I feel insecure about, and when I read it aloud I hear how stupid it sounds,” she tells Yahoo. “It feels very real, and it’s often very hard to overcome those feelings and emotions and judgments that you pass on yourself, but I’ve found that a good routine is just saying it out loud, and hearing how small compared to everything else these things can be. It really helps me feel larger than the issue. It helps me feel like I can carry the strength to get over my insecurities.”

She Takes Baths

Antonia takes baths. “When I’m really on top of it, I like to draw a bath. Have tea, wine, and my Kindle. I’ll have some sort of face mask on, like the Shiseido Retinol Face Mask. I’ll have my hair up in some sort of deep conditioner. Usually—I know you’re not supposed to leave this mask in for longer than a few minutes because you don’t need to—I’ll throw it on for 10 minutes. Then I just decompress and listen to some music,” she told Marie Claire.

She Is All About Aging Positivity

She also has a positive outlook on aging. “This isn’t something that’s very technical and is more of a mindset thing, but also the idea of aging [positivity]. I think a lot of us are very afraid of aging, but the beauty in aging is the experience of life. And so I think the best advice is to remember that to age is to have lived—that is very, very important. There’s nothing more beautiful than that,” she told Marie Claire.
